Kaiokenred...please elaborate on that since I'm interested, as I believe there's no god (the kind the monotheistic religions claim exists) basically.

    Peace.

      Peace Kaiokenred.

HE is the light and I am the servant.

      Is that fine with you?

May HE guide you to the truth.
      Peace.

I'm gonna have to agree way more with this light business and that there isn't a god - spent the last 1 to 1.5 hours reading one of the articles on that page. Pretty interesting. The Arabic phrase "la ilaaha illallah" actually means "there's no god but the one who is not god"! Again, VERY interesting (and I agree, for the most part).

                    Peace Bigmo.

OK. Here we go. Let me start by saying I believe 381 refers to a messenger after Muhammed. Then you have

64-- 1587-- 2366--2367--2369--2782--3714--3737--542...and so many more( if you want more) like

" Well educated but crazy" verse and " We have given you the seven pairs and the great Qoran..."
                    Peace.

6.3-5 And He is Allah in the heavens and on earth. He knoweth what ye hide, and what ye reveal, and He knoweth the (recompense) which ye earn (by your deeds). But never did a single one of the signs of their Lord reach them, but they turned away therefrom. And now they reject the truth when it reaches them but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at

23.64-66 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! (It will be said) "Groan not in supplication this day for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels

15.86-87 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an

What does this has to do with Rashad?

These verses are about the pagans and their disbelief on the messenger of the Quran.

                            Peace Nevashiva,

I apologies I read a lot of the posts in this website, and I can't get a clear answer about him, so I was wondering if someone knew a post I could refer to, or a website I could refer to, that is reliable and not full of claiming that he is a pig, and deserves to go to hell without actually saying why he is wrong.
I realize people here do like the hadith free Islam, but I am wondering, why do you guys not like him? what was he wrong about?
I will be very honest, I am very gullible sometimes, but I do move with instincts, and I came across his videos by complete accident, and I think I was looking for how to pray in Islam, although I knew how it is done, but I just never felt right praying the way I was taught to pray, I wanted to make sure I am not just doing whatever. Anyways at the first glance he seemed very refreshing to me, I almost said wow he seems like a messenger or something, and it was so WEIRD!!!, because I was like here I am being silly...but then I find out he actually said that he is, that kinda hooked me on, but I want to make sure I am not being superstitious...or that I just like him because of what he seems/talks about.
I am horrible with math, and numbers really frighten me, I will try to get my calculator and see what he meant, but his story sounded exactly like a story of the Qur'an. So without much further babbling by me. Why do most people who even believe in Qur'an 'only'...even say things like they hate him. I want to learn!!! PLEASE HELP.

                            Welcome to the forum .

You said that you move with your instincts and that you just never felt right about the way you were taught to pray and your search led you by accident to a video about Khalifa.

I would suggest that you continue to follow your god-given instincts. Do you know that Khalifa preached praying the same way that you never felt right about, including facing the pagan stone cube and all? Not only that but pretty much he preached all of the pagan rituals and nonsense that Sunnis do to the letter, including spinning around the Black Stone and stoning the three pillars and running between two hills in Mecca, all while being half naked and wearing nothing but a towel.

Follow your god-given instincts and the answer will be clear.

As for math, Khalifa's numerology is like all numerlogy. It sounds impressive until you realize that he only shared his successful trials and hid from you his many more failed trials, which we ALL know he had (but some sick people choose to delude themselves).

                            Peace,

                            Ayman

Lots of valid points going around there!

But my biggest problem is how to pray, the peculiar steps are just not mentioned. Prostrate...sit...Prostrate...Say this...say that....Stand

Meh I guess there has been a lot of feuds going around about this, I should just give it a rest.... and get my try those numbers out my self I guess.

Thanks for the Welcome Ayman D. I just need to sort out what is instincts, and what is 'hawa' (doing what you feel like). I GUESS!!

                                Guessing is so exhausting!
THANKS FOR THE INPUT EVERYONE!!!. And I still think a hell emoticon would be.. very expressive lol sun

Nice Thanks!!!, I saw a youtube of this issue of translation and Rashad it was some sort of meeting or something, he was confronted about it, and I really did not appreciate him not trying to understand that he is coming across as infallible. And even someone in the crowd went like "you trying to correct him?!!" as in How dare you...which sounded scary.

Thanks I thought the site only has books Didn't notice.

If you use that argument, they will simply reply that it is was a purification of the book. Rather, bring forth the fact that he claimed to know the exact date of the end of times, and even wrote an essay on it, while the Quran clearly states that no one but Allah knows it.

Furthermore, good logic says that R.K rejected all hadiths, which is nothing but a lie. As R.K saw "salat" as a structured form of prayer, he based it upon hadiths that were thought to be preserved from the time of the messenger Abraham.

                                    • masjidtucson.org

Very good points, exactly my problems with R.K., he still resorted to something outside of the Qur'an but he trapped him self in the position of not being able to.

That and the story of what was the deal between God and the devil, which is not that detailed...at least not as detailed as how he described it.

And God guaranteed happiness if you follow his will. I don't believe in that if you follow God you will never feel bad.

Also the other verses talk about the " proof" of the Koran to this generation, not to the pagans. Remember Muhammed did not bring any sign. " They said why has a sign not come to him from his Lord, say" Wait" The future belongs to god , We too are waiting." A sign/proof to come in the future after Muhammed.

The fact that we are here 14 centuries after the Quran was revealed talking about it shows that sign that it is. But what does this has to do with Rashad Khalifa? The verses you quoted do not indicate what you are saying.

They most certainly do not indicate what you said all along.
You have to come up with better explanation for them within the context of the Qoran.
Explain what you think 381 means. Then try again with the rest of the verses mentioned.

                                        Peace.

They most certainly do not indicate what you said all along.
You have to come up with better explanation for them within the context of the Qoran.

3.75-Among the People of the Book are some who, if entrusted with a hoard of gold, will (readily) pay it back; others, who, if entrusted with a single silver coin, will not repay it unless thou constantly stoodest demanding, because, they say, "there is no call on us (to keep faith) with these ignorant (Pagans)." but they tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it. Nay.- Those that keep their plighted faith and act aright,-verily Allah loves those who act aright. As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter Nor will Allah (Deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He cleans them (of sin) They shall have a grievous penalty. There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is from Allah," but it is not from Allah. It is they who tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it! It is not (possible) that a man, to whom is given the Book, and Wisdom, and the prophetic office, should say to people "Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah.s" on the contrary (He would say) "Be ye worshippers of Him Who is truly the Cherisher of all For ye have taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly." Nor would he instruct you to take angels and prophets for Lords and patrons. What! would he bid you to unbelief after ye have bowed your will (To Allah in Islam)? Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you an apostle, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said "We agree." He said "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses." If any turn back after this, they are perverted transgressors. Do they seek for other than the Religion of Allah.-while all creatures in the heavens and on earth have, willing or unwilling, bowed to His Will (Accepted Islam), and to Him shall they all be brought back. Say "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)."

The first part of those verses is refering to the Talmud that allows jews to cheat and deceive the gentiles.

"Non-Jewish property belongs to the Jew who uses it first? - (Babba Bathra 54b)

?If two Jews have deceived a Non-Jew, they have to split the profit? - (Choschen Ham 183,7)

?Every Jew is allowed to use lies and perjury to bring a Non-Jew to ruin? - (Babha Kama 113a)

?The Jew is allowed to practice usury on the Non-Jew? - (Talmud IV/2/70b)

Sanhedrin 57a . A Jew need not pay a gentile ("Cuthean&quot the wages owed him for work

The translation refered to "umiyeen" as pagans when it really is supposed to be gentiles. Talmudic Judaism does not seperate between pagan gentiles or monotheist gentiles. Their religion is based on ethnicity and not faith. The rest of the verses is talking about the Jews who sometimes quote the Talmud making it appear to some that its from the OT when its not. Just like many Muslims think many aspects of shariah are based on the Quran when its not. Sunni clerics employ this tactic as we know. Only two says ago I heard a cleric says that blasphemy should be punished by death according to the Quran. We all know its not from the Quran but many Muslims are ignorant. Often they will twist the meaning of the Quran without people detecting the spin. The Jews often employ the same tactic.

As far as the rest of those verses its talking about preferential treatment between the prophets or rather rejecting some of the prophets while claiming to follow others. The Jews rejected Jesus and then rejected Muhammad since both Jesus and the Quran attacked the Talmud. The Jews probably claimed that the Talmud is a Mosaic and Davidonian and Solomonian tradition and accused Jesus of violating those traditions. The Quran tells us that all the prophets saw themselves as one and each supported the other. Jesus quoted many prophets when he preached and said he came to confirm the Torah and the Quran quoted many prophets and also claimed it came to confirm the Old and New Testament. Sunnis and Shias we know claim Muhammad was the greatest of the prophets not because they follow the Quran but because its through the Sunnah they abrogated many of its teachings. The Arab Meccan dynasties could not trace their lineage to any other prophet like they could with Muhammad saw they saw him as a way to circumvent the Quran by inventing isnads that claimes they can trace traditions to Muhammad himself. Muhammad was really all the Meccans had and he was their only rise to fame.

The part when it said that no prophet would instruct people to worship him is probably talking about the Jewish claim regarding Jesus. The Jews sometimes claim that the reason they rejected Jesus is because he claimed the Trinity when in reality they rejected him because he claimed to be the messiah and attaked their Talmud. This argument was used by Jews often to make their reason of rejecting Jesus more acceptable in the Christian world. The Talmudic accounts says Jesus practiced sorcery and was a traitor but never claimed he said he claimed he was divine. But after Christianity came about with the Trinity Jews saw this as a better areason to claim why Jesus was rejected. The Jews know Jesus never claimed he was divine.

Frankly what does all this have to do with Rashad Khalifa beats me. To understand those verses in the Quran you need to debate Jews and other religious traditions. Often they will present the same arguments the Quran is refering to. The Quran often comments on the Muhamedan experiences when he preached and debated and offers him guidance.

Its important here the Quran refers to soem Jewish authorities and not all. The opening of those verses tells us many Jews were honest and faithful. Like Sunni hadiths, there are many talmudic traditions that inspires piety and righteousness and many traditions that inspires disbelief and oppression.
