So when IS ramadan and where can I get an actual lunar calendar?

Just when IS ramadhan each year? Now that I know that most Muslims are going off of the incorrect "crescent" moon, I realize that we are fasting at the wrong time. Or ARE we (cue spooky music) & ?
Can anyone provide a link/comments/insight on this?
