Contradictory statements in the quran?

Hi All,
I was reading the Quran Yesterday and I found an Ayah which seemed to be contradictory.
27 which indicates that there are ayats that are clear and not clear are present in the quran.
Am i correct in assuming that while the Quran taken as a book is clear and has an explanation for all things, but there are ayats which are both clear as well as not clear.
I would be grateful if i could get some other point of view/ opinions...

I think you mean 37.
Any book will have "clearer" statements than others, unless it is a very basic book requiring little thought. The Quran has to cater for all mankind and it about developing us individually and collectively, and creating a model society. Not an easy task by any means.

"He is the One who sent down to thee the decree/writ, of it there are signs/verses clarified/authoritative*; they are the essence of the decree/writ; and others are similar/resembling/assimilating/conformable....."To me this means that the latter verses/signs can theoretically have more than one interpretation thus require repeated consideration in conjunction with the *"muhkam" verses and/or cross-reference and/or logic.
In other words, they are not clear/self-contained on their own, thus resemble the "mukham" verses but require extra due diligence. -

Passive Participle and Active Participle are not one and the same thing. Knowledge means to know the apparent things and their hidden realities. Hidden aspect, not visible to sight is portrayed through metaphors.
