Were all Prophets/Messengers from Arabia?
-
Peace
I have been reading Pazuzu's posts on the topic "Road of The Patriarch" with interest and fascination with his assertion that all the prophets and messengers mentioned in the Qur'an were all in Arabia (They must be all Arabic speakers then). While I would like very much to agree with Pazuzu's theory, some verses in the Qur'an prevent me from taking all his claims seriously in his interesting posts.
Besides, any student of the Qur'an will know that Allah sent Thousands of Prophets and Messengers to every tribe and nation from amongst themselves and in their own languages. If Pazuzu's theory is correct or true, then The Qur'an is no longer "The Criterion" for which to distinguish truth or falsehood, now let's see what the Qur'an say about Prophets/Messengers/Warners in respect of The Arabs.
-
Al Qur'an 323
-
Al Qur'an 3444
-
Al Qur'an 366
In order that thou mayest admonish a people, whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain heedless
After reading the above verses, can we still claim that all the prophets/messengers/warners all were in the Arabian Peninsula? Are all the stories in the Qur'an also took place in Arabia and Arabia is where the land "Blessed for The Worlds" located? Looking forward to enlightenment from any forum members and not necessarily from Pazuzu.

I you refer to the prophets mentionned in the Qur'an, I think most or all were from the same region as Prophet Muhammad, but of course we know that God sent his envoys to all peoples, as He says in the Qur'an therefore NOT all prophets were from Arabia, most likely most were not from Arabia, but their names are not in the Qur'an, they probably figure in the traditions of each people and many probably ar forgotten.

Of course I referred to the prophets/messengers/warners mentioned in the Qur'an. How do you know that most of those prohets were from the same region as Muhammad the Arab Messenger, have you any Qur'anic evidence for your claim? Or perhaps the verses 32/3, 34/44 and 36/6 aren't clear enough? The reason I posted those verses is to draw Pazuzu's attention to the existence of these verses which negate the core of his theory regarding "The Patriarchs".
IMHO, Pazuzu relies too much on The Works of Kamal Salibi and The Old Testament to reach his conclusion and not enough effort to find more evidence from The Qur'an itself. Pazuzu's theory is a very intesting read and I don't think many people will disagree with that, but whether it is accurate or not is another question. After all God's earth is spacious and some of those people mentioned in the Qur'an could have come from anywhere and could have been Indian or even Chinese but is it important? What is important is The Message they all brought from god.

The answer to your doubt is very simple
The Quran tells us that sometime after Noah's age, Allah evetnually sent many messengers, in rapid succession to the generations / nations of Arabia
{Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation their messenger, they denied him. So We made them follow one another, and We let them become narrations. So away with a people who do not believe!}...
If you look at the Children of Israel, for example, you will see how their messengers were sent one after the other, with hardly a pause between their generations. This process went on until around 600 BC, which coincides with the time of the Babylonian Exile.
Muhammad, on the other hand, came sometime in the early 6th Century A.D, after a very long "pause" - so to speak - in the messengers.
The following passage explains it all
{O people of the Book, Our messenger has come to clarify for you after a long absense of messengers; so that you cannot say "No bearer of good news or warner has come to us;" for a bearer of good news and a warner has come to you; and Allah is capable of all things}...
Please pay close attention to the above. Why are they being called "People of the Book" if no messenger had EVER come to them??
This explains why we read passages like the ones you pointed out, telling us that Muhammad (P) was sent to people whose fathers had not received any messengers. This is because many many centuries had passed between the last messengers sent to the Israelites (600 BC) and Muhammad (600 AD). We're talking 12 centuries here, and that's a very long time in terms of human years.
On the other hand, the Quran tells us that the homes of Aad, Thamuud, Lot and Midyanwere all arond Muhammad's people. So how can this fit with your theory?
If that doesn't convince you, then nothing will.

If you define arabia = Canaan + Syria + Mesopotamia then yes...
If you define arabia = the entire earth.. then it's true all prophet + messengers were all in arabia..
It depends...Although up until now I'm still confused how does this matter at all...

Brother Pazuzu is total right, even in hadith one can find prove of this
BUKHARI BOOK VOl 5 No. 191
Narrated Khabbab bin Al-Art We complained to Allah's Apostle (about our state) while he was leaning against his sheet cloak in the shade of the Ka'ba. We said, "Will you ask Allah to help us? Will you invoke Allah for us?" He said, "Among those who were before you a (believer) used to be seized and, a pit used to be dug for him and then he used to be placed in it. Then a saw used to be brought and put on his head which would be split into two halves. His flesh might be combed with iron combs and removed from his bones, yet, all that did not cause him to revert from his religion. By Allah! This religion (Islam) will be completed (and triumph) till a rider (traveler) goes from San'a' (the capital of Yemen) to hadramout fearing nobody except Allah and the wolf lest it should trouble his sheep, but you are impatient."Why would be so much imporatant the road between San?a to hadramout be so important? yes..this are places of Allahs Messengers within Quran. Even Quran coming from King complex in Saudi arabia have subnotes about Thamud Ad being to the sid eof thamud and Median and Ar-Rass being on Asir mountains. Somehow they know the truths but just dont want to face it..

Selam Pazuza ),
I have just finished reading the book at it was an excellent and intellectual read. One thought that did pop into my mind though. You said that all messengers were from the same vecinity, however their is a verse in the Quran (cannot remember i'm afraid) if i remember correctly that says Allah sent messengers to all nations... I could have confused myself but if all messengers and prophets were from Yemen then how does this fit?
Thanks and great work on the book once again ).

Qur'an Chapter 144
4 We sent not a messenger except (to teach) in the language of his (own) people, in order to make (things) clear to them. Now Allah leaves straying those whom He pleases and guides whom He pleases and He is Exalted in power, full of Wisdom.
And let's not forget Qur'an 32/3 , 34/44 and 36/5-6 that's if we are truly followers of The Qur'an.

Pazuzu, I take it as obvious, is talking about those prophets mentionned in the Qur'an. Those mentionned in the Qur'an are obviously, as has been pointed out known names in the land to which the Qur'an came, so God refers to them and reminds of their histories. As Jafar said, no use talking to Arabs about Mencius or Confucius, which would not mean a thing to them. Finally, the stories in the Qur'an are not meant to teach history or geography nor do they matter, although those may be reflected in it, but to set moral and spiritual examples through more or less known events. An teh Qur'an does refer to known events, like the times it says "And remember when we... "

Correct.
This is because Adam was in Yemen, and the prophets from the progeny of Nuuh were all there as well. In fact, Nuuh's descendants, Shem, Joktan (Qahtan), Ebr (Hebr), Adan, Uzal (Sana'a), Hazarmaveth, Al-Madad, Shibam, etc... were all in Yemen. Every one of those names, to the letter, can be found in the Old Testament, and they are all, by coincidence of course, names of Yemeni cities or historical figures whose biographies became folk legends.
The Quran is recounting to Muhammad the stories of the ancestral line of prophets who all lived in the same region.
Finally, the stories in the Qur'an are not meant to teach history or geography nor do they matter, although those may be reflected in it, but to set moral and spiritual examples through more or less known events. An teh Qur'an does refer to known events, like the times it says "And remember when we... "
Correct.
The importance is not in the geography per se, but in the lies and manipulation that have become evident from this issue. The reason why I have chosen to do this research is because I view the belief system of Islam, the true Deen, as one full package. You cannot take one part and leave out the other. Those who have falsified and hijacked the real theater of the events and of Muhammad's life are, in the end, the same people who have distorted the whole Deen. It's all one package.
About a week ago, a colleague of mine told me about a jar of Yemeni honey he received as a gift from a grateful Saudi customer. The label on the jar says Sidr Honey .
He (the colleague) looked it up and found out that a one- kilogram jar of the stuff costs $200. Incidently, I looked up "Sidr Honey" in the internet, and found out that certain regions of Hadramaut (Yemen) have a species of trees known as the CIDR trees, which are known to produce the finest honey on Earth. These trees do NOT grow anywhere in the Hijaz, or North Arabia in general. They are found mostly in Yemen, Ethiopia, and parts of Sudan. (To a lesser extent in Pakistan and India as well).

The Quran tells us that Muhammad had a vision of divinity at the site of the Sidra (Lote) tree.. The Quran also tells us about the honey that is produced from it. The Bible tells us that Abraham migrated to a land rich with milk (green pastoral grounds where livestock graze) and Honey (known for production of the nectar). The classical interpreters of the Quran KNEW FOR A FACT that Sidr trees never existed anywhere near Makkah or Madina (North Arabia). In order to pass their diabolical conspiracy of hijacking Muhammad's lineage and the true geography of the prophets, they interpreted the Sidra Tree as being in the 7th heaven, and claimed that Muhammad saw it during his so-called "Mi3raj" trip. This is a sample of the garbage they have been feeding us for centuries.
The SIDR tree is here on earth, not up in their illusionary seventh heaven. And this tree is in Yemen, where the Quran was revealed, and where its oldest manuscrript was found. And you can take that to the bank

I am sure even your average or nominal Muslim knows that The Qur'an was revealed in Arabic and to an Arab Messenger who obviously spoke Arabic as his mother tongue. However, to lump together every prophet and messenger mentioned in Qur'an as Arabs and therefore spoke Arabic is just too far out. Why is the geographical location not important?is Allah Earth so small that those events and people could not have happened at an entirely different place?.
I hope this hypothesis is not hinting at a conclusion that [b Arabic Is The Paramount Language or God's own language and that The Arab was and is The Supreme Race. Since we all know what The Qur'an says about The Arabs. Where are the so called scientific evidence leading to the conclusion that those prophets/messengers and warners were all from Yemen and the surrounding area? What Qur'anic evidence to back up this claim? I have already posted verses rebutting this erroneous conclusion, but I will post it again for the benefit of everyone who missed them.
Q.144 We sent not a messenger except (to teach) in the language of his (own) people, in order to make (things) clear to them. Now Allah leaves straying those whom He pleases and guides whom He pleases and He is Exalted in power, full of Wisdom.
Q.323
Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee in order that they may receive guidance.[/b.
Q.3444 But We had not given them Books which they could study, nor sent messengers to them before thee as Warners

Q.365-6 It is a Revelation sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
6 In order that thou mayest admonish a people, whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain heedless (of the Signs of Allah).
.After reading these verses, will you still be contending that there were Arabs Messengers sent by Allah to The Arabs? Please read Surah 997 if you are not sure. Those verses expressly say that Muhammad's ancestors were never sent a Prophet/Messenger/Warner before him.

Selam almarh0m,
I realised the verse I was referring to was 10.47
"And for every nation is a messenger. So when their Messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged." And "And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, 'Serve Allaah and avoid Taaghoot '. And among them were those upon whom error was decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers."

For God's sake, what a habit of putting in one's mouth words one has not said.
The qur'an is in Arabic, so what I said, when God revealed the Qur'an, he was not going to talk to Arabs about Confucious and Mencius who are very far away to be of common knowledge to the Arabs, but that God would talk to them about messengers who would be most likely known to them because of their nearness.
I have not said a word about the language spoken by any of the prophets mentionned in the Qur'an other than the language of the Qur'an itself.
I feared I had committed murder in my previous message seeing the reaction!
So now, that you mention it, which languages were the ones spoken by all each of the prophets spoken of in the Qur'an? You seem to know, I suppose from the Qur'an itself, so let us know as well.
