      Hi Br.Hafeez,

Verily Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow; while those who reject Allah will enjoy (this world) and eat as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode.

Have you ever seen one who rejects Allah eating as cattle - to see how cattle eat see any movie.

      peace

        Peace 357.

        What is your question implying?

"and eat as cattle eat; " just means they live like cattle ( eat drink but do not think or reason!)

        Peace.

          Salaam,

          Definition of the word

          1024
1024 The example of worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - from which people and eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.

This aayat above shows that all animals who eat vegetarian are , simple as that.

            Sorry Makhan,

i am with Br. Hafeez on this.

Lets see what is wrong with this ayah! if the writer is saying the plants are there for us and the animals, Arn't animals here for the plants aswell - did you know there are animal eating plants - is there a proverb telling us about them? No, well......

Animals are not Alanaam, but it is what you get by by eating (its not physical eating neither) ........ i will let you ponder.. peace

Have you ever heard of a word in Urdu, Anaam? Well As we all know Urdu is not far from Arabic neither.

            hmm

To my understanding Bahimatul An'aam . I am not 100% sure about this though.

                  You are welcome brother.

                    Peace brother Khan

In Surah Hajj Bahimatul Anaam appears twice and this surah was revealed before surah Maaida. Then why Allah made it LAWFUL in Maaida? If Allah made it lawful in Maaida, then it must be unlawful before this verse was revealed.

                    Thanks

O ye who believe! fulfil (all) obligations/the contracts,.........

AlAnam is the lawful nature of obligations/contracts in both accept in 51 it is given greater emphasis - baheematu.

                      As i see it.

I leave you to the rest Br.Hafeez.
