I did not understand how you conclude 5 daily Salaats from Sura 1? Where is it mentioned of Salaats in Sura 1? Why not 7 aayaats refer to 7 days of week? Why there is no 1+7 or 1x7 or 1/7 or 1-7?
Why don't you take it is referring to 5 days a week? Instead of taking 5 daily Salaat? There is no mentioned of word Salaat or Daily, then how can you conclude it? Please do not play with the word of Allah, be careful, I warn you from the punishment of Allah. So, be aware.
Why not the following
Chapter 1 + 7 aayaats + 29 words = 1729 / 19 = 91 = 9 daily Salaats in 1 day
or
Chapter 1 + 7 aayaats + 29 words = 37 / 19 = 1.9 = 9 daily Salaats in 1 day

This is my point which I would like to be proven - the rakaat amount being in numbers doesn't prove anything, because like the brother illustriously demostated, there are tonnes of combinations linking to the number 17.
In Edip Yuksel's post (and a few others here), there is a quotation from the Qur'an where Allah tells us that the named salaat are obligatory - and it is my understanding that only the before sunrise, after sunset and "middle" prayers are named.
MMKhan has further stated that the middle prayer could be Juma.
Meaning either 2 prayers daily, before the day and at the end of the day. (or) a third prayer in the middle.
My whole point on this issue is that this makes a lot more sense than 5 daily prayers.
Because Allah is All Knowing, Most Merciful, and He would have known when He sent the Qur'an that this day in age would come where most people are either working full time or are in full time education. Anybody in that situation finds it almost impossible to pray the 5 daily prayers on time.
Allah said He has made the religion easy for us, and He has not made it a burden.
So, 2/3 prayers a day is certainly not a burden, anybody can do them.
Whereas 5 daily prayers; hardly anyone can do them, even if they wanted too (because of work/education comitments.)
