Difference between a Prophet and a Messenger?

No, I am suggesting a rational course for arriving at judgments. One can have any perception he likes to develop in his mind. But when judgments are related to a foreign text, the minimum requirement is that the person knows the word.

Aaron was only Nabi. It looks like if God made Aaron prophet to respond to a demand of Moses.
1953 And We granted him from Our mercy his brother Aaron as a prophet.
2029 "And allow for me an advisor from my family."
2030 "Aaron, my brother."
2535 And We gave Moses the Book and We made his brother Aaron a minister with him.I think that Aaron case is very helpful to respond to the Nabi/Rassol distinction.
It is the nabi who confirm what rassool says. The Messenger bring a Message from GOD and the Nabi confirms by his own words.The question is again, what will a human rassool do if Muhammad was not the last human Rassol ?

I am not sure about the last of anything, the Qur'an says khatam an-nibiyin, seal of prophets. It depends what we understand by khatam. A meaning that for me seems unquestionable is that whatever revelation or message a prophet or messenger may bring, the Qur'an is the one that gives or denies its authenticity, that is, that puts the seal on it of being genuine.

Why are we considering nabi and rassool as ranks ? What is the rank of a warner (nadhir) ? of a Moudhakkir (reminder) ?
Rassool means simply one having a message/specific task (in this case from god) and Nabi means simply one informed (in this cas directly by God)Peace

His message is now in each library in the world and quite nobody in the world can say "i never heard that a book called quran exists".

I was a frequent visitor of libraries back home and I didn't know about Quran until 10 years ago. We lived in an 'inner city' and my children went to a very multi-cultural school with Hindu, Sikh, Musim, Christian kids, but the words Islam and Muslim never clicked as being 'together' until 10 years ago. There are no libraries in the Amazon Jungle, deeper Africa, outback Australia and tons of other places, so not everyone in the world has heard of it. It wasn't until I 'wanted' to know that the world of Islam and Quran was 'laid before me'.............quite strange when I look back on it. hypno

Qur'aan did not say it will be available in all libraries. On the contrary the information is
"whomever it reached". So it is not necessary that it reaches every individual living on earth. -

More and more, majority of humans can hear about it. So there is no need, as if we would have been in ancient era, to another messenger.Now consider this
2782 And when the punishment has been deserved by them, We will bring out for them a creature/beast from the earth, it will speak to them that the people have been unaware regarding Our revelations.
I have read an amazing idea. Web would be the Beast. Web is a kind of Beast where we can find the good and the bad. It propagates (kind af crawling?) through all the word and has the potiential to "speak to them that the people have been unaware regarding Our revelations"
Rashad Khalifa made a similar interpretation. However he said that the beast is not web but computer. The speak of his beast would be the "19-miracle". He noticed that Quran mention "beast from the earth" (mina el ardh) only in this verse while in others, the expression "beast on the earh" (Fil ardh or Ala el Ardh) is used (638; 116; 16-49;1641)
On another side, Quran has a great destiny
933 He is the One who has sent His messenger with the guidance and the system of truth, so that it will expose all other systems, even if the polytheists hate it.
This verse is a special verse in the category of verses that are repeated as it is in Quran
933 is same as 4828 and 619 (4828 is slightly different)What this verse is saying, for me, is that the message brought by Muhammad (Quran) has the destiny to dominate all the religion/deen of GOD (wich include, for me, the parts brought by Moses, Issa and others)
I think that does mean that majority of people who believe in God with no shirk (believing in humans books, worshipping prophets...) will believe in the message of the last nabi, who i think is the last messenger in the sense of a human that bring to humans a message with only words of God.Please note that it is just an opinion and that i have no pretention to proove it.

To them, and to me, the whole 'nature' thing are the signs of a creator.
I read a comparative religion book years ago, Ahmed Deedat can't remember which one it was, but mentioned the Aborigine calling their God Aknatu (or something like that) which literally meant 'the one with no bum'........doesn't sleep, eat, go to the toilet, etc. and I think these who don't know about any books and messengers yet live WITH nature as part of it (instead of destroying it) might even have a better way of worshiping the creator than those of us with all the books. peace
Regarding computers, I have a staunch Christian friend who I was discussing something with and she came out with the Bible verse 'and every eye shall see'.............which could point to computers too. The computer has given me the ability to search all the texts in minutes as opposed to hours or days and trawling the books, unless you knew them back to front to find what you want, would be a daunting task.
