Let's imagine the reality of paradise: a film proposal
-
Who said anything about selling?
Do you think people would need to use something like "money" in paradise when you have the creator of all things granting your every desire?
If this film were not free to distribute, own and modify it would totally negate itself. sun
Your initial post proposed a question on why nobody has done this and my reply about selling was in relation to that. Of course money would be useless in an unimaginable dimension(paradise) so I don't know why your saying this for the sake of it.
Please read posts carefully before making assertions...helps with the flow of the discussion handshake

IAMOP, bro...
we can only use the material we have at hand... and the one we have is worldly...
paradise is other worldly, in fact Godly, there is no material here to even start describing it, let alone visioning it...
it is like trying to imagine, then depict, God... Surat 112...

Peace be with you as well....
The film that got me touched was AVATAR
The floating heavens kind of sounded like the "high heaven" in the Quran, while the low ground sounded like the lower "heaven"... ) -
We know for a fact that the paradise is the very same physical universe we experience here and now; a cursory look through the quran will show this.
The SOLE difference between that world and the world we experience now is that this world is one of limits and boundaries for purpose of trial. All new creation here and now is solely dependent on the creations of the past. Without the limits of energy, time, fatigue, etc, you get paradise. The very substance of energy we are experiencing now is that same very substance that will form paradise. It can take on any form and do any thing but it does not at present as it is computing away at a task and to reveal its fluid, effortless and dynamic nature would stand in the way of the computation (e.g. refer 4333).
However we can totally model it. Paradise is something the mind can encompass, unlike God which no mind could ever encompass except God itself. All films and depictions of utopia to date have always shown a world of limits. In Star Trek we still have 'main characters' and subservients; despite being in a utopic future. In the Matrix we have war, human limitation, ignorance - despite a computer system perfectly able to remove those. Not a SINGLE FILM in existence (that I am aware of anyway) has depicted a world of ancient human beings who all express the light within them to the fullest of full extents. The collective creative power is boundless as it is fuelled by God.

Probably because there is no movie without conflict of some/any sort...People could depict or theorise such an utopia but to make a movie out of it without an antagonist etc would be more like a documentary rather than a movie I guess?
depicted a world of ancient human beings who all express the light within them to the fullest of full extents.
The scientologists probably have one lying around someplace

Lol Its not that people love destruction, turmoil, and despair. its rather the opposite.
The human brain responds to dire situations, and evokes many responses.
This is why Allah tells us no one who says they believe really believes until they are tested/tried.
Often times it takes dire disasters or destruction to awaken the human soul. Its strength weaknesses, hopes, concerns are all challenged in these moments.
This is why movies like, Brave heart, Avatar, Lord of the Rings, District 9, etc all interest movie goers.
it evokes responses from human emotion. when you see a movie with a innocent person dying your heart is wrenching, you want to help that person you want to do something.
when you see a movie about bubble gum love relationships, you get no response from it.
This world is a trial. everything whether real or illusion tests us.
a man who has never been tried is not equal to a man who is put through trial and error.
rarely in history has any great man ever made it to their point in life whether knowledge or success with sitting down in a pleasant go lucky life.
but almost all mankind has been tried through trials and tribulations big and small.
and it is these that mold individuals. it is these events that distinguish the strong and true, from the weak and false.
as unfortunate as the ills in this world are they are trials and a necessity.
Movies express this. It took the death of Lukes family in Starwars to awaken his purpose to realize what he had to do. It was this trial that set him to cause.
It took the death of William wallaces loved one to realize his trial and job to free Scotland.
No man or woman overcame the trials they faced, nor the obstacles that lay before them, without first tasting loss, and pain.
Unfortunately it is these disastrous things that often times are need to wake mankind from his illusion of slumber.
sometimes people need a kick to wake up.
it is trials that make us. we all say we believe and would do A B C in an X or Y situation. but it is actually going through that situation that our words are put to the test whether they become action or mere hearsay. -
^^Very well said and I agree.
To IAMOP I disagree with your comment about paradise being something our mind can encompass as it's something we cannot imagine thus the imagery and descriptions in the Quran are given as allegorical.
In regards to energy being the substance of paradise formation it is a wild guess imo, unless you have any verses inferring this. I am of the opinion based on quranic reading that the next universe's creation is intrinsically linked to this universe's creation i.e. you reap what your sow for the next life, but in regards to substances(if any) and laws(if any) of the next universe, I think that knowledge rests with Allah alone.

Great post AlboDibran. I understand that films have that bittersweet element to them. That's what makes them gripping - a strong down stimulus (tragedy) sensitises the nerves for an upward stimulus (the happy finale).
This is not an idea for a cheesy drama, love story, war story, or indeed anything of the sort. I get the feeling you guys just aren't reading me correctly at all. This is purely an exposition, an exhibition, a demonstration, a vision, a dream.
For example People are Awesome 2011 - http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKWoPlL2B8I
This has 33 MILLION views. A short clip. And you bet your ass it's gripping. People do not just respond to incredible tales of tragic death followed by a phoenix rising from the ashes whose father was killed in a freak accident when he was 4 by faulty electrical wiring designed by 8 headed Shaolin ninjas. People respond to depictions of ecstatic bliss, success, power, achievement. We want to probe into the possibilities of the human form, nothing more but more importantly... nothing less.
Prince We will be resurrected to the point our very fingerprints reassemble, in the exact same bodies we always inhabited; when we eat in paradise we will note that we ate the same fruits before on earth, etc. Paradise is not allegorical in the least though some of the verses may be but I agree that we cannot comprehend the sheer depth of it as it is eternal and we are currently mortal. Peace!
