Basic initial meanings Feel of reverence and its expression through physical gesture-body language-lowering of head in state chin moving towards chest and gaze going down. It is a relational word-a relationship between the Reverent and the Revered. Reverent and the Revered could be any object or person.

Advanced meanings in the changed relational field when the Revered is the Only One-The Absolute-The Only Independent-The Self Subsisting-The Creator-The Supreme Exalted-Sovereign Sustainer Lord of the Universes, and the Reverent are all objects and living-all that exists in the created realm. I was expecting some interesting critical analysis and feedback from those who somehow think that it does not necessarily signify physical prostration.
i mean the Koran says everything prostrates to God. Obviously each does that in its own way. We do not see the sun and moon actually prostrating. But as humans we do sujood as an expression of worship. We are told in the Koran that Mary is to kneel and that zakaria prayed standing. This is consistent with the verse in surat haj that says tawaf, sujood, ruku are all forms of worship.
The important thing about praying is praising God and asking forgiveness and then asking for things we want and need in our life. We are told in the Koran to do a lot of praising and glorifying. We are told that praising and glorifying God can make miracles as the case with Jonah.

I ask number (2) because when I created a thread on my SuJuD article, you seemingly displayed a sense of disagreement with it but when pressed for specifics you commented but your comments didn't actually prove anything, as noted by other members who posted on the thread.
This is all about putting evidence on the table so we can all weigh and consider such information, then make an informed choice. If you have some solid evidence that refutes or critically damages an alternative viewpoint, put it on the table for all to see.

It shows that you have not opened and seen the article in the Link given.
It is about Root Root and all words made from it that occur in Qur'aan are listed therein.
It also quotes Classical Lexicons. And its use in various semantic fields.
Please go through it and you might find rebuttal of erroneous perceptions that people have even with regard to such one of simplest words of Arabic. Please try refuting the evidence incorporated therein.
