I converted not long ago now, I have no regrets. Mash'Allah!
From the start I recognized that I could not accept the Hadiths, and that guidance from the Qur'an only was the greatest guidance
I am so happy that there is a whole community here that believes the same as I! I look forward to a long journey of learning and understanding, as well as getting to know all of you.

The greatest Guidance is ALLAH. Al Qur'an is just gravy! With Guidance like this, there is no valid reason why the Deen can't be part of our lives.
AQ contains hadith--as it states. It is extra-Quranic hadith that should not mix with the Deen. For purposes other than the Deen, one should feel free to consult whatever hadith is useful--a cookbook for cooking, a car repair manual for car maintenance, and storybooks for telling children bedtime stories.
It is sad to see so many believers in hadith. However
2856 You cannot guide whom you love. But it is GOD who guides whom He wills; and He is fully aware of those who receive the guidance.
494 O you who believe, if you go forth in the cause of GOD, you shall investigate carefully. And do not say to those who greet you with peace "You are not a believer!" You are seeking the vanity of this world; but with GOD are many riches. That is how you were before, but GOD graced you, so investigate carefully. GOD is expert over what you do.
4125 And who is better in the system than the one who submits himself to GOD, and he is a good doer, and he follows the creed of Abraham in monotheism? And GOD took Abraham as a friend.
