    Salaam,

233 And they avoid vain talk.
2572 They do not bear false witness. When they encounter vain talk, they ignore it.
2855 When they come across vain talk, they disregard it and say, "We are responsible for our deeds, and you are responsible for your deeds. Peace be upon you. We do not wish to behave like the ignorant ones."

What is the response for vain talk? Striving with discussion? Trying to win the argument?... No. God shows us the best way per the above.

It is how we respond that manifests our conviction not what we know. Not only it exposes our conviction to side with God alone but it is always also the winning response in this world for the person and the socieity in the long-run. All alternatives will prove to fail.

To me, if there is ever vain talk it is AP's posts. And the developments on this board is proof of the Quran in action.

    Peace.

        Peace,

It is not the proof of the quran in action. It's just that people are following the guidance of the quran. Likewise, following the bible is not the proof of the bible either or following the hadith is not the proof of hadith and so on...

            Peace Anwar,
I think you are missing the point for a tangential issue.
On the tangential issue you are in fact missing an important point per your post. If you like we can pick it up in a different thread, but I like to keep this focused on the main point follow the Quran and do not engage in vain talk rather ignore it. That is the winning approach.
            Peace.
