Qurbani or no Qurbani?

Salamun Alaykum,
I've gone through the threads regarding the worldwide 'Islamic' tradition of Qurbani on Id-ul-Adha, but didn't get a 'Clear' answer. So I just wanted to ask you guys (Mainly Mazhar and mmkhan) what is your opinion on whether the Qurbani is a Quranic order or not, and if it is, whether it is only for Hajjis, or whether it is for the whole world? I personally after reading the verses feel that it is only for the Hajjis, but I would really appreciate if someone else could help me in this quest with convincing evidence.

I am still in the process of learning about what Haj really is. It's something that I am currently studying, along with the ten million other things I have questions about.
I looked at these verses
2236 And the plump livestock, We have made them for you to be among
the symbols of God; you will have benefit in them. So mention
the name of God upon them in succession; then, once their sides
have become still, you may eat from them and feed with them
the poor and the needy. It was thus that We have made them in
service to you, that you may be thankful.
2237 Neither their meat nor their blood reaches God, but what reaches
Him is the righteousness from you. It was thus that He made
them in service to you, so that you may magnify God for what He
has guided you to, and give news to the good doers.I do not think that animal sacrifice is prescribed.

Off my head, the only relevant time where "Qurban" is mentioned is when the Storey of Adams sons are told in 527, the word is also used in 3183....
Qurban in Arabic and the Hebrew Cognate Qurban both mean Offering... The word is also used in the NT in Mark 710..Qurban or Offering is not an obligatory task. we are not required to offer anything. Moreover, it was not the offering that was the important thing, because Adam's two sons both made offerings, however, only one was accepted from, and the reason was because "God accepts from the Reverent". Thus Revering God is the important thing here, not offerings. God is no need.
Moreover, God will not receive any blood or meat from your offerings, however, he will receive your reverence 2237Historically, yes i did make offerings to God, i think it was out of being Thankful. I did not sacrifice Animals however, it was actually plants, since that was all i had....
But You can certainly go ahead and sacrifice and feed the poor. However, Meat is kind of expensive and not that calorie rich.... I would suggest giving to the poor calorie rich foods .. or you could donate to Hunger charity and save yourself some time and money. -

I just look at verse 2237 and that answers the question for me. I may be wrong, but I do not see a point in the act when God Himself has said that it won't make a difference to Him or impact His judgement.
However, I think if the rationale behind the slaughter is to feed the hungry, then I think this to be a righteous act. Though, that kind of stuff should be going on all year long, and should not be reserved for one specific setting in my opinion. I think feeding the hungry, homeless, and other such populations is righteousness that should be practiced all year long.
