All Dressed Up & Nowhere To Go!

    Peace ALL,

A brother describing his willingness to debate using the Qur'aan alone with those who disagree and finding no serious takers remarked

?I?m all dressed up with nowhere to go.?

Well, he can come here. As much as I disagree with half of what is written here -) lol , I thank God for all of you thinkers. Bringers of proof! Truthseekers! True students of the Book!

The shear length of some of the posts surely attests to those accolades.

What, you might ask, brings on this burst of emotion?

I?ve been following a thread on

    http//www.galaxydastak.com/cgi-bin/forum/webbbs_config.pl

Dr. Shabbir Ahmed?s forum entitled ?The truth about 171? which I believe was started by a diatribe against Aidid Safar. Shabbir doesn?t simply disagree, according to him to question Kaaba, Mecca, Hajj etc is mockery and those that do have a ?disease in their hearts?.

A forum member purports that verse 171 refers to Musa and not Muhammad. He brings what he understands as his proof from the Qur'aan alone never using any proof from Aidid?s writings. At the same time he is gracious and generous with recognition of Dr. Shabbir?s brilliant work. He respectfully and humbly disagrees with Shabbir?s understanding. I watched this thread deteriorate into slander against him by the forum writers. They started quoting verses of the Qur'aan that had no relevance to the topic AT him like the priests in that old Exorcist movie.

Now on this forum the same thing may happen, -) the difference is that Shabbir edits. His position is that allowing free discussions will confuse the people. I suppose we are the ignorant masses. I seek protection from these self appointed scholars and MULLAHS in disguise. There is only one position allowed on the forum, HIS. They denigrated free-minds for allowing everyone to have an opinion or question the traditional understanding.

If you agree with the dissenter, your posts are deleted. I couldn?t even warn the brother of the oncoming excommunication -) lol

You are always cordially welcomed and softened up by praise of your intellect, reason etc. That?s the set-up to becoming a blind follower of the self proclaimed ?lifelong student? of Qur'aan, Dr, Shabbir (as he calls himself, is Shabbir his first name or last? Perhaps it?s cultural). My very benign post was deleted in attempt to block me from communicating anything to the dissenter. They themselves are no better than the mullahs and their followers they so openly despise. So I say it again. Thank God for freeminds, free thinkers. Thank God for the ability to think!

        Salaams Br,
Good to see you are trying to do good ,but mind you as you can see it ain't easy to open their eye's - I think they are here as well but obviously good thing is your posts may not be deleted but say something against the trads and they will be on you like flies- how unfortunate the trads don't want reason but prefer the easy way of being followers of their religions.

Mind you (i think) Allah only wanted his people to lead rather then follow others -i would say,but it being easier to follow then lead people choose this.

        Salaams to you.
