    Peace be upon you everyone,

I was reading this article here http//www.free-minds.org/articles/gods_system/doom.htm

I think its a good one; however, I am not understanding the significance of splitting on the moon here. We have also gone on to Mars and all, then why the moon?

How does splitting of the moon equate landing on it for the first time?

      Peace,

Only the moon was landed on by man thus far. Mars and other asteroids all involved machines.

I belive that the time frame for 'near' begins with this event (what happends after it is irrespective).

        Peace be upon you,

Some people claimed that the moon actually split during the time of Muhammed literally when a group of pagans asked him to show the proof of his prophethood. This is obviously a hadith (which I don't believe), but it said that he just pointed at the moon and it split into two pieces; perhaps that's the reason why several translations say "...the moon has split...".

I am not sure, but thanks. I will give an insight into this matter shortly.

          This is obviously a hadith (which I don't believe), but it said that he just pointed at the moon and it split into two pieces;

          Chapter 17
          90. And they said ?We will not believe to you until you cause a spring of water to burst from the land?
          91. ?Or that you have a garden of palm trees and grapes, and you cause gushing rivers to burst through it.?
          92. ?Or that you make the heaven fall upon us in pieces as you claimed, or that you bring God and the Angels before us.?
          93. ?Or that you have a luxurious mansion, or that you can ascend into the heavens. And we will not believe in your ascension unless you bring for us a record that we can study.? Say ?Glory be to my Lord. Am I anything other than a human messenger!?

          Peace )

            Hey you guys,

Could the moon splitting be as simple as lane is saying!

            541

This little peice is from lanes

waqadh wainshaqqaalqamaru =and the case hath become menifest

I suppose it could be as we say "Its clear as day".

            Sousing the message trans

            1. The Hour draws near, and has become menifest .
            2. And if they see a sign, they turn away and Say ?Continuous magic!?
            3. And they disbelieved, and followed their desires, and every old tradition.
            4. While the news had come to them in which there was sufficient warning.
            5. A perfect wisdom; but the warnings are of no benefit.
            6. So turn away from them; the Day will come when the caller will announce a terrible disaster.
            7. With their eyes humiliated, they come out of the graves like scattered locusts.
            8. Hastening towards the caller, the rejecters will Say ?This is a difficult Day.?

            I wonder!

            Peace.
