Knowledge of the Unseen

Peace be upon you Tay, drfazl
Thank you for helping me here. I feel I am either on the cusp of a deeper understanding or on the edge of the abyss. At this moment I can only pray to God to guide me to best understanding.
drfazl - I agree that it feels like he did turn my head so to speak in his direction, after reading your and Tay's post I am feeling better, need to pray again and ask God to put me straight.
Tay, your foray into the holographic nature of the universe will be a beautiful journey no doubt - there are some interesting books out there, will see if I can look it up in my collection. I too believe in the interconnectedness of all things - vastening of the conciousness to a state that 'vibrates' at the same frequency of what you are studying, in this case reality. A tough task to achieve but very rewarding when you tune in for the first time - problem is to stay grounded to that frequency, the emotional and instinctive part of the brain quickly make you lose focus and can make you lose the frequency, returning your conciousness to a 'zero activity' state, trust me it exists. You really need to experience it first hand.
Anyhow, thank you for your advice in regards to us knowing very little about some stuff.
By 'extra' knowledge I meant the ability to know the future and personal knowledge about how I run my life. I have always felt that no human or jinn can know the future - only God knows past, presents and futures in all their permutations.
He told me that in six months time I would reach a point where I would have to make a decision to be on one path or another. One was the path of Shaitan, the other he didnt describe, i am assuming he is alluding to God.
My brother who was with me asked me what I thought and that could I tell that he 'had something' - I replied he may have access to some knowledge, but not Jinns telling him. He states that he has 'guests' with him. I told him what that I KNEW he didnt have Jinn with him - he replied that they could be called spirits - he doesnt know who his guests are, just that they are spiritual in nature and friendly. He then asked me to take my glasses off and decided on a staring match - I can outstare anyone I know - I outstared him of which i was decidedly happy (my brother said that he cant look into the man's eyes for too long - it scares him). He didnt say anything to me after that.
I will be going to see him tonite as he said he has something to discuss with me in private - what kind of questions do you think I should be asking him? I do not believe that he has access to information about the future - however I do know that hypnotic suggestion can cause me to 'make' a decision six months down the line and then attribute that knowledge of making that decision to this guy.
We will see. Thank you for your replies peeps.

Peace Darcus
If that guy was in my house, I would have been making fun of him, I would also ask him to get a decent job and start working instead of living in other people's home and eating their food and stop abusing gullible people for crying out loud.

Salaam Dacrus,
You have lost your battle with him, and the damage is done, I'm afraid, now that your wife and parents are siding solidly with him. Just try to tell them that you don't want this stranger in your lives and see if any one of your family would consider your word!? And now, you, yourself, the previously skeptic, are going to his house and getting even more involved! shock
I hope it won't be too late for you to realize that the price to move that stranger away from your way/life will be very high! I say that not out of a knowledge of the unseen, only learning from other people's experience.
But, at the end, it is your choice. Take care! -
Salam Darcus,
I know that there are things out there that we cannot (yet?) understand.
I didn't believe in such things before, but during the last five years befriended a "medium" - , do'nt know what to really call her... And the fact is that there are things she predicted, and that could not be foreseen just using logic development of situation... But that doesn't make her anything else than human and certainly not infallible...and she's the first to admit it. But it is true, some people have "something" more, others are just plain crooks.
This person, just take care that he doesn't guide your life, keep your own reasoning and put your trust in God alone. And if you really sense that he's just a crook, then get rid of him.
Take it easy,
Elke -
Peace Darcus,
I didn't realize you've studied the holographic paradigm. We need to discuss this more. I'm currently reading "The Holographic Universe" by Michael Talbot, as he nutshells Bohm's and Pibram's work. So far, I'm fascinated.
Anyway, back to your situation
He told me that in six months time I would reach a point where I would have to make a decision to be on one path or another. One was the path of Shaitan, the other he didnt describe, i am assuming he is alluding to God.
Now this sounds very shady to me. I can make that same prediction. In fact, this decision you'll have to make in six months, you'll have to also make in 1 year, in 10 years, in fact, you'll make that decision today, and everyday for the rest of your life! That's what La Illaha Il Allah is all about. Keep Allah in mind in all your decisions, and you will never stray. That's Allah's promise, and His promises are unwavering.
About the staring match...cheesy! shock Sounds like something out of a movie.
Listen bro, yes, we're all succeptible to being hypnotized, but only once we're charmed into it. The strong-minded will not fall victim to the power of suggestion. Hold onto your faith and take it in stride. It sounds to me like this dude is up to something, I'd just wait it out in skepticism. If his intentions are ill, he'll reveal it soon enough. In the meantime, plant some positive seeds in the minds of your family and keep a close eye on this guy.
You'll come out of it stronger.
Peace,
Tay -
peace be upon you peeps
Thank you for your responses. I have always been an easily led person and was recently building up my resistance to outside influences and focussing on the quran. I dont like the way he is making me think about him, or rather that I let myself think about him/bother me during my waking day - I see it clearly now - he is interrupting my daily discipline of remembering God in everything I see and experience.
Suffice to say, I will not be going tonite. Now to persuade the wife - that IS an undertaking and a half.
According to what this chap said to my parents he has 'told' them of how my spiritual path through this life is different to theirs and his. My father even went to the extent of reminding me that he was right about me, he thought that I had lost my 'Iman' and that this man had confirmed it and that I should repent turn to God. I told him that I always try to 'face' God on a daily, hourly basis and that my journey has only just begun. I am still trying to behave like a real human let alone a muslim. I have a relative who also studied at Leicester, he came back an atheist, my father believes I am on the same path! - how further from the truth can he be!
I feel sad when I am in this situation with my parents - and it makes me cry when I read about Ibraheem and how he tried to pray for his father.
I have never poured out my heart in such a public way before (feels like Jerry Springer) but I would appreciate some moral support. I thank you peeps for this. I thank God that he has allowed me to participate in a forum where his guidance is evident in most.
Peace out

Hoff! That is a relief! D

Yeah! ? But don't worry! Allah is on your side. He will give you the strength, no doubt.

That is the split that those strangers feed on! Cracking the bond between you and your wife and you and your parents .

Don't despair! You are not alone! Allah is here, with you.

Peace upon you darcus, and all,
Your situation is very complex, there are too many parameters to deal with; parents, wife, the stranger... And I guess you are living with your parents under the same roof, that doesn't help much.
I don't think you want to go out to call on people to believe in what you believe. Thus, it is for him to come to see at your place to tell what he has to tell, you don't have to go to see him, he is the one pretending to know all the truth.
So, if you meet him again, stick to the basics, don't engage on subjects you don't have enough arguments for. Make sure you are talking about the same god, the creator the initiator of the universe, don't engage on nonsense, and don't respond if you don't know the answer, just tell you don't know.
I went through a situation like this with my parents, but fortunatly, I don't live with my parents, I left way before engaging on this path, eventhough I was always feelling something wrong with their beliefs, but never knew what it is. Now, everytime I go to visit them, the subject is brought on the table, and it gets heated even if I try my best to keep things cool. But the hard reality is that they have no arguments, they just keep repeating the same non-sense learned from some mullahs, thinking that after repeating it a 1000 times, pouf!! I'll be back to their system. I feel very sorry for them, but they chose their way and I can do nothing unless the god wills otherwise.
A last thing, try to move to another place if you can, because there, you're still under the authority of your father, and it's hard to voice your position.

Peace be upon you Someone,
Thank you for your reply.
Get this - we spoke again. I got told that I have picked up something evil that flows within my veins. When I question things and refuse to recite the '99 names of the Prophet' and that I find the idea that the universe was created for a prophet called Mohammed and that his name is written 'above' the 'throne' (he took it as physical!) of God I am told that it is this evil thing inside me that is making me say these things!
Now the foundation of what he states is that I cannot seperate this from myself because it has become a part of me. It speaks for me and makes my decisions for me. Apparently everything I do results in something negative because of this 'dark side of the force' running through me.
Now I laughed at this guy. I still do. I understand what what he is trying to do, but he has my family duped. They WILL NOT listen. Of course, with me being on the dark side, I am not to be listened to as it is not ME doing the talking, but this 'thing' inside me. Amazing how clever this guy is. Also amazing how he has a grandeur complex about himself.
I have been given a 'formula' to read surat istaghfar and that he will teach me to read this on a tasbih 11 times at 11pm in the evening.
Now I would rather trust to God and let him protect me rather than go through an elaborate speaking of something in arabic I dont understand.I can now see the cancer. What do I do about excising it? It will be tough removing him from the lives of my family - they are seriously entrenched in 'love' for this guy - they are forgetting Allah and what He can do for them on a personal basis.
I suppose we can only pray for them to be guided to the right path and pray that our prayers are fulfilled.

Peace be upon you,
It was only a matter of time before falsehood revealed itself. The "truth" is very logical, not illogical.
Regarding "hologram universe", indeed ALL THINGS are part of the WHOLE, everything is interconnected.
I suggest reading the books "Metu Neter" Volumes 1 & 2. They outline the "behavior science" (religion/psychology/philosophy) of the ancients of Kemet(Egypt). It is referred to as "Knowledge of Self". It talks about the very same things.
Also, Harun Yayha (a sunni) has some very good articles and films, one film in particular is called "the secret beyond matter" and can be found on his site. It is a MUST SEE if you are interested in deeper understandings that these SYMBOLISMS in the reading(quran) and many other stories in the past point us to. The "holographic universe" is really WITHIN US because we can NEVER REACH the material world to verify it! What we say that we "see, taste, touch , feel, and smell" are only impulses to our brain, we can nver get BEYOND our senses to verify if this material reality exsists. If anyone knows how this is done, please share it.
Here is the link to Harun Yayha FREE films section.
