    Salaam,

Nice thoughts Wakas and MQ. Where would you guys fit jinn into this picture? I personally see jinn and malaika as 2 sides of the same coin.

      Salaamun alaikum Joe,

Well, Wakas has taken it into a dimension which I haven't even thought of yet, which isn't unusual for him.

To me, 'malaika' are artificial intelligences. This is because they are never mentioned to serve the evil users, only the good guys. So they have thier own values to adhere to, but these values are in-built, not a conscious choice.

The objective of using the PC is to gain benefit from it (print stuff, play games, write stuff, calculate, database work) , but to use it, you must engage with it's laws, al-kitaab. To do that, u can either experiment (and mess up a lot as I do) or you can believe in the written manual, al-quraan by the PC"s creator and programmer and economise your efforts (Iqbal said, the purpose of revelation is economy of effort).

The malaika are available to help you achieve the objective above, but you must know how to access them; again through reading the manual.

Now, the jinn are also users, but they are stuck on certain stuff, like games. (shaitaan is 'min al ins wal jin' from ins and jin') and want easy access and wouldn't mind wasting the pc's resources. Shaitan is a trait of the user, same as 'mumin' , 'kufr' etc.

Ok guys, I think you've worn this old man's brain out for the weekend shock ! Lets see how this unfolds ! We need KYLE for this, he'll take to this like a duck to water !

        Peace,

Here's a post by Owen Cranston along the same lines (who has since been deleted from Shabbir's site for differing)

What is the Creature Prophesied in 2782?

I think most traditional translation make it a "creature" rather than an "insect" - and this verse has been much abused in the stories concerning the "Dajjal" and "Mahdi" myths.

I tend to lean that the creature made of earth is in fact the global computerization we see becoming a dominant force in the organization of our lives. To be able to have this conversation requires our respective computers and a whole network between them.

The most abundant element in the earth's crust is Silicon. We, animals and also plants are Carbon based organisms. The thing that makes this incredible diversity possible is the valiancy of Carbon being 4. Now Silicon is in the same group as Carbon on the periodic table and also has a valiancy of 4. Scientist's have conjectured that if there were to be any other form of different life form other than Carbon based life in the universe then it would almost certainly have to be based on Silicon.

It turns out that this most abundant material in the earth - Silicon - is the very basis of integrated circuit technology and powers almost everything today - computers, electronics, mobile phones, cars, planes, etc.
And look at how the world has become smaller. Look at how the internet is shedding light and truth to all who want to see. Is this not a sign?

The truth of God's pure message is being spread in an unprecedented way because of the miracle of Silicon and God's incredible design. God be glorified.

          peace Joe,

I'd probably put jinn under traits/habits of the user.

al-quraan the operational manual on paper.

          That is also a possibility.

          Wakas

            Peace be upon you all,

It might be time for you all to watch "Matrix" again

When I wrote the thread about Matrix movies, I got a response from someone who broke all of the characters down to computer parts. I don't know where that e-mail is now, but I will try to meditate on it and see if I can recall some of the points.

That which came before us states "as above so below" which means the "systems" are the same on different levels. It is so true!

                Peace all,

An unfinished work that was left off a few years ago. Perhaps someone can further elaborate, expand and/or revise the following

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the cursed.

                HUMAN VS COMPUTER

Dr. Rashad Khalifa?s miraculous discovery of the Mathematical Miracle of the Quran was undoubtedly guided and blessed by Allah Subhanallah via the means of a computer. The resemblance of a computer to a human is a very fascinating one. We know that Allah created His first servant on earth, ADAM, by mud/clay.
Your Lord said to the angels, "I am creating a human being from aged mud, like the potter's clay.
He is the One who perfected everything He created, and started the creation of the human from clay.

Thenceforth, Allah?s servant, by the Will of Allah, made his first computer by earthly materials. Thus the Quranic verse

Sub-Title The Computer Is The Creature
At the right time, we will produce for them a creature, made of earthly materials, declaring that the people are not certain about our revelations.

From the above verse, it clearly proves that the computer is produced and made up of earthly materials and thus resembles a creature. Now lets examine, study and understand why and how this is so to justify the above Quranic verse and Rashad Khalifa?s sub-title.

Firstly, lets list and analyze the physical parts of a human to a computer

                1. Human Body (an enclosed structure within which all parts, organs, fluids, etc. are contained) - Computer?s Body is its ?Outer Frame? within which all parts, devices, ports, wires, etc. are contained).

                2. Human Skeleton (bones - straight, angled or twisted) - Computer?s Internal Brackets and metal frames (straight, angled or twisted) and compartments.

                3. Human Head or Skull (Brain) - Computer?s CPU (Chip or Intel Processor). The brain is the central command system in a human. The medical field has implanted and imitated almost every organ or part of a human (such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, limbs, etc.) except the brain. Similarly, in a computer, everything can be changed, added or upgraded except the chip. When the new chip is installed, a ?new system? is created and therefore many parts of the computer also needs to be changed in order for the new chip to work. Although a human brain is eminent to amend, correct or fix one?s own brain through medicinal and surgical procedures, a human being will cease to live if the brain is removed, but can still continue to live, by Allah?s will, if other parts are removed and replaced by implantation of other ?real? or ?man-made? parts. Brain cannot be replaced or imitated. The same concept applies in computers; a 486 DX chip cannot be replaced or changed by Pentium II or Pentium II to Pentium IV within the same framework of any given computer. If the chip is removed, the entire computer system will cease to work.

                4. Human Face (Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth) - Computer Monitor, Projector, Microphone, VideoCam, The eyes of a human has a retina whereby an image is inverted and thus a vision or picture is formed by the commands of the brain. In a computer, the monitor or a videocam also has a ?retina like device? whereby the primary colors are inverted and thus a picture is formed by the command of the chip. The ears has a cochlea, hammer and other internal parts whereby magnetic resonance is created and thus one can hear by various wavelengths. The computer has microphone that contain magnets and other parts, thus creating a magnetic field, a resonance whereby it ?hears? and takes the information by various wavelengths. The mouth of a human is were food and drink is fed, passes through various metabolism and thereby distributed to various parts or organs of a human. The computer?s mouth is the floppy disk, a CD Ram and/or a tape drive, whereby information of all kind is fed into the computer system or various parts (program folders, directories, desktop, other drives, etc. where information or files passes through various channels, distributed and stored). Human vomits out the unwanted stuff, due to sickness, burnt or raw food or other circumstances. The computer ?vomits? out information back into the disks or CD RWs and/or recycle bins, due to corrupted files or files and software that are incomplete and/or incompatible. It simply won?t take it and thus ?throws out?.

                5. Human Chest or Thorax (where Heart, Lungs, Liver, Intestines, Stomach, etc. are located) - Computer?s Internal Parts or Chest (where Mother Board, Serial Ports, Buses, Video Card, Sound Card, Drum, etc. are located).

                6. Human Limbs (Arms and Legs) - Computer Keyboard and Mouse. The hands of a human holds, grabs, drags, drops, throws, etc. The mouse is held to highlight (hold or grab) a given information to drag and drop and throw into various fields such as other files, directories, programs and/or recycle bin. The legs of a human move, walk, bend, jump, escape, etc. With computer?s keyboard (arrow keys, enter keys, functional keys, home keys and escape key), one moves the cursor in order for it to ?walk? forward, upward and sideways (arrow keys), ?jump? (escape key, home key, enter key, functional keys), and ?bend? (italic button on the menu bar),

                7. Human Voice Box - Computer Speakers. A human speaks with various tones and volumes, in different languages if known, via voice box (larynx). Computer speaks out through its speakers in various tones and volumes, also in different languages if known, via the speaker system.

                8. Human Veins and Arteries (carrying Blood, Plasma, etc.) - Computer Wires and Straps (carrying Molecules, Atoms, Electrons, Protons, Neutrons, Ions, etc.).

                9. Human Discharge or Waste (Urine, Feces, Sweat) - Computer Deletions, Empty and Recycle Bin.

                10. Human Memory - Computer?s Memory in Simms and Dimms. A human is better equipped with various degrees of memory or the power of its memory glands thus seeking the levels of perceptions. A computer is better equipped with various power of its own memory given in simms or dimms (such as in mega or giga hertz), thus seeking the level and capability of its perceptions.

                11. Human Heart - Computer Hard Drive (C Drive).

                12. Human Garments (Clothes, Spectacles, Shoes, Socks, etc.) - Computer wears its own garments known as Peripherals (Printer, Scanner, Digital camera, etc.).

                13. Human Shapes, Sizes, Color and Age - Similarly, Computer Shapes, Sizes, Colors and Age.

                14. Human Diseases, Medication and Cures - Computer Viruses, First-Aid, Scanning and other Anti-Virus Software.

                15. Human Hair - Computer?s accumulated dust and lint.

                Secondly, lets list the imaginable parts of a human;

                1. Humans Travel (short/long distances, single or in groups) - Computer travels via cars, ships, planes and trains that carry them, single or in packages.

                2. Human Talent (various levels of education, literacy or illiteracy) - Computer Talent (Pentium I, II, III, IV, etc., Speed in MHz, Hard Drive in MB or GB, Memory in MB/GB, various Software and Upgrades, etc.).

                3. Human Religion (Jews, Christians, Muslims) - Computer Brands (Compaq, HP, Toshiba, Sony, Dell).

                4. Human Sub-Religion or Sects (Sunni, Shia, Dawoodi, Sulemani, AgaKhani, Ismaili within a religion) - Computer Sub-Brand or Models (various models within a brand such as the HP Pavilion, HP Celeron, HP Athlon, HP Bundled PC, etc.).

                5. Human Tribal Customs, Traditions and Etiquette - Computers also come with various Operating Systems such as MS DOS, Windows 95/98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Lennux, Mackintosh Systems, etc., which carry their own ways of adaptation with varying degree of operations within their own worlds, small or large.

                6. Humans reside throughout the world - Computers reside throughout the world.

                7. Human Ventilation, Body Temperature (Breathing; process of Inhaling and Exhaling) - Computer Ventilation and Structural Temperature (Fan System; process of Cooling In and Heating Out).

                8. Human Faints - Computer Fuses. When a human stands in front of the sun, for example, for long periods of time without food and drink, the temperature rises, the brain cannot take the load and thus a human may faint or collapse. Immediate attention is given by sprinkling or intake of water or other medication or methods, thereby he wakes up. Sometimes a severe calamity befalls on a human whereby he faints or comes in a state of comma or perhaps even death. A computer can faint by constant fluctuation of electricity, thereby blowing its fuse, thus fainting. By replacing the fuse, or in case of a surge protector, the button is turned on immediately, and thus the computer wakes up again. In severe situations or accidents, a computer can either fuse off or other internal parts can be damaged to the extent of total collapse, death of a computer.

                9. Human Rests, Sleeps, Plays and Works - Computer Rests, Sleeps, Plays and Works. A human rests when inactive and tired, thus saving energy and retaining power. A human also sleeps, wakes up, washes and is ready to work and play, all nice and fresh. A computer is also in a ?rest mode? when inactive and no work is performed, thus saving and retaining power. A computer sleeps when shut off, wakes up when turned on, washes-up by initial start-up activity and is ready to work and play, all nice and fresh.

                10. Human visits to Doctor or Hospital for Check-Ups, X-Rays, Blood Tests, etc. - Computer visits First Aid or Scanning Software and also visits Computer Analysts, Engineers and other professionals for diagnostic evaluations.

                11. Human Thoughts and Perceptions - Computer Thinks and Retrieves any or all information before it gives out or takes in.

                12. Human Actions and Reactions - Computer Commands, Finding Files, Getting Responses, etc.

                13. Human makes Love and War by Accepting or Rejecting of what is Perceived via Thoughts and Imaginations (Sadness, Anger, Likes, Dislikes, Loving, Fighting, etc.) - Computer also makes Love and War. When any information is fed into the computer, whether good or bad, correct or incorrect, it accepts or rejects of its level of perception (the way its programmed, memory) and its capabilities. A good example is when I feed any information out of, lets say Windows 2000 packaged software into a Windows 95 or Windows 98 packaged software, the chances are, the information may be rejected or accepted in accordance to the Windows 95/98 capabilities. In other words, the way its programmed to accept or reject its counterparts, outside, other sources or perhaps by higher upgrades and vice versa. Thus fighting or loving off of information and sources. In some instances the computer may accept or reject part of the information, and accept or reject the other half, thereby liking or disliking. If one forces the computer to take invaluable or incorrect information, it becomes angry by warning you through prompts, throws you off by hitting back at you wrong information and thus other problems occur.

                14. Human?s most ardent enemy (Satan) - Computer?s most ardent enemy (Virus).

Many other direct relationship of a computer to a human can further be generalized, analyzed and comprehended and expressed to give a more explicit vision, for if it wasn?t because of Allah?s very Own Words ??a creature made of earthly materials?, the Mathematical Miracle of the Quran, and perhaps the entire world would be in vain.

Finally, everything that a human has and can do, a computer has and can do, and thus the statement ?The Computer Speaks?. One may ask, what about the ?soul? of the human being. A soul is neither a part nor an organ. Its a ?spirit?.
Once I perfect him, and blow into him from My spirit, you shall fall prostrate before him".
No one knows ?how or what? about the ?spirit? or ?soul? of a human, for ONLY ALLAH KNOWS BEST.

May Allah bless us all, give us the courage and wisdom to seek His divine path and bestow His mercy on all of us.

                        Interesting thoughts Wakas! D

It might be time for you all to watch "Matrix" again

Funny how I was thinking THE SAME thing!

Oracle We're all here to do, what we're all here to do. I'm interested in one thing, Neo, the future. And believe me, I know, the only way to get there is together.
Neo Are there other programs like you?
Oracle Oh, well, not like me, but...look. See those birds? At some point a program was written to govern them. A program was written to watch over the trees, and the wind, sunrise and sunset. There are programs running all over the place. The ones doing their job, doing what they were meant to do are invisible, you'd never even know they were here. But the other ones, well, you hear about them all the time.
Neo I've never heard of them.
Oracle Oh, of course you have. Every time you've heard someone say they saw a ghost, or an angel. Every story you've ever heard about vampires, werewolves, or aliens. It's the system assimilating some program that's doing something they're not supposed to be doing.
                        Neo Programs hacking programs. Why?
Oracle They have their reasons, but usually a program chooses exile when it faces deletion.
Neo And why would a program be deleted?
Oracle Maybe it breaks down. Maybe a better program is created to replace it, happens all the time. And when it does, a program can either choose to hide here, or return to the source.

                                Salaamun alaikum guys,

Kyle, glad to have you here on this thread at last. Some really good stuff going on here.

I'd disagree that hadith and sunna represent the virus in the system. A virus ACTUALLY alters programs. And as we know from Al-Quraan, NOTHING can change the kalima/sunna of Allah.

Hadith and sunna and indeed all forms of information systems other than Al-Quraan itself all try to connect to the programs/al-kitaab but they cannot. Therefore, hadith and sunna are manuals of that system but not written by the Creator of the system. It's like someone other than microsoft writing a manual for windows.

                                  Peace be upon you,

                                  VIRUS = HADITH AND SUNNAH..

                                  IT CORRUPTS THE SYSTEM.

While I understand and agree with what you MEANT, we should cosciously start trying to use these words in the proper context, now that we know them. The God has the best hadith and sunna, so we cannot accurately say that virus = hadith and sunna.

Again, I do understand and agree with what you MEANT. D

                                  Salam Idolfree,

                                  Ok lets be exact..

VIRUS = HADITH AND SUNNA OF BUKHARY AND CO.

                                    Peace be upon you Tony,

Still a little bit off D I would say Virus= hadith and sunna of anything but the God's Truthful teachings. This way we also recognize the virus of "christains", "jews", "satanists", etc, not just Bukhary and co. As well, we allow for the truth that came before us as well, which THIS reading(quran) confirms.
