Most Quranic Tafaseers are based upon explanation given based upon historic context of Nazuool. I mean to say, only the text itself.

    Salaam,

There is no historic context in The Quran, historic context can only be found in sources other then The Quran. So placing ayaats in historic context is imho also not right and it will for sure confuse ones understanding of The Quran.

Let me give you a crude example from current translation. (It does not mean that I agree with this translation)

O ye who believe! Approach not prayers with a mind befogged, until ye can understand all that ye say

Is it okay to use part in green, without part in red for ones own objectives?

I totally agree with you handshake
    sure it's not right

    Salaam,
    Bender

ps I will inshaAllah later on reply to our other discussion, I have first to read (study) carefully what you wrote.

      handshake
Dear Bender and bkanwar 2 ,salam

What is a ayat, where it begins in quran and where it ends,is the work of scholars and not of
allah.Allah sent down the quran without telling the end or beginning of ayats.for proof,go to islamic-awareness.org and click on quranic manuscripts, and see the pictures of old quran, you will find absolutely no indication mark about ending or beginning of ayats.
There have to be certain mistakes done by older quranic scholars, and definitely doing so will alter the meaning of certain ayats,as all are prone to errors. You will also see that there are no numbers given to chapters, and no names are given to chapters,no number of ayats are mentioned in chapters etc.

      Salaam marifhaq handshake

      Welcome to the forum

I am not that much in history. I "work" with what Allah gave me at this moment, I will not be responsible for things of the past inshallah.

Anyway even if older written Quran's had no beginning or ending of an ayaat it is with a little effort possible to point out where a sentence begins and where it ends and I believe that with some study it will be also possible to detect the beginning and a ending of a ayaat.

      Salaam,
      Bender

Thanks brother. Take your time for other discussion. However, it is surprising that my this inquiry is on this forum for more than two days and only 2 responses for a simple question.

I know that my Muslim brothers and sisters are going to scold me for this. But since honesty and truth requires me to share this with out fear of consequences.

Current religion Islam has five pillars.

First is giving of Shahada or saying and believing in Ist Kalima. Which is,

This is followed by 4 pillars, which are based upon concept of ?Allah? as the one and only deity for worship. These 4 pillars mainly relate, how to worship him? We have already learned that Allah actually means ?One who is not deity for worship?.

Now let us examine if this first pillar of Islam holds up to serious scrutiny?

What is its source? Most Muslims would tell that prophet told us so. But question comes to mind from where? Didn?t he come to deliver our Rabb message? If so, shouldn't this message be in Quran?

So let us look up Quran, if there is any evidence in support of this Kalima?

Upon examining Quran these words are there, but not in this order or not even in one verse.

Let us bring evidence from Quran itself?

          3735

          4719

The above 2 verses in the middle contain first part of Kalima.

Following verse has second part of Kalima, at the beginning.

          4829

But wait a minute, did not we just discuss that taking parts of verses/sentences out of whole and using for a purpose is against principles of honesty and truthfulness?

But why shall we trust this non-sense prophet said so. But aren?t we told he was ?Sadiq and Ameen?. The role model for his followers for the moral principles of honesty and truth, are we still going fall for the bait.

I am just puzzled some one has to give me an answer that really makes sense. How come the person who came to deliver the message could have distorted it himself? While being held in the highest moral and ethical esteem by his contemporaries.

I have no intention of hurting feelings, just searching for truth, with out any biases no personal gains.

          Regards,

Fully agreed brother. The rule of language supports the notion that a "common noun" when used as a "proper noun" can not take tanween.

But does it make any difference to my believing commrades?

              Regards,

I wish I knew. I wonder if our Rab wonders as well. They have the book in hand, yet not desire to learn.

Is it correct/okay to use Quranic verses out of context of full verses? I mean to say not out of historic context, but context of Syntax/sentence of a verse and use it for support of an objective/purpose?

I for sure think it is not only incorrect. It is unethical as well immoral. What do you all think about it?

                    Regards,

                    hi

I tend to agree with you . I think that it might apply to all writings.

                      Peace,

I have explored such a thing with regards to the attributes of God. Using the identity that God is one, indivisible, then all references to His attributes are also a word for God.

So in any verse which says "The Merciful" or "your Rabb" or so on, we can acknowledge that no matter what, the referred object is of course our creator and substituting "Allah" in these verses will preserve the entirety of their meaning. This is provided that the person sees the word "ALLAH" as a set, the elements of this set are the entire attributes of "ALLAH".

Using such a means of analysis I came to the conclusion that God = truth (haqq), and truth = light/energy/consciousness (nur). If we use "an-nur" or "al-haqq" in any verse where the word "Allah" is mentioned or "rabb" then the meaning is always unchanged and it could not be changed unless ALLAH was not 'ahad'/singular, indivisible, that which has no likeness and nothing else bearing the same qualities. Indeed the qualities of God belong to nothing but God and God alone.

I hope this helps. It is not strictly the idea of taking a quran verse out of context as that is intellectually dishonest but it is a means of cross-referencing. If you study the quran carefully and apply this methodology you probably will not find a contradiction as far as my knowledge extends.

                      peace

You probably are correct in your assertion. Let me illustrate by an example. Let us replace in following verse word Allah by AlHaq.

AlHaqu la illah "The truth is not an illah/god/a deity for worship.

But as a word/concept Allah has been made one and only deity for worship. Which is the cause of state of commotion. Do you have any ideas, how to clear this misconception for most?

                        Regards,

                          Salaam everybody,

Do you have any ideas, how to clear this misconception for most?

This is a good question. It looks anaas has been influenced back to his pre-ruuh state of injustice and ignorance wherein is this pseudo-need for adoration, worship. Any ideas who would be the influencer? My intuition tells me the answer is with salaat and searching for what is the true salaat. Salaat would be the activity by which this fog, commotion would clear up.

                          Best regards,

                          adjwi
