    Peace be upon you Zachariah,

Yes, I was just speaking from my reflections(thoughts). Here are some verses.

(780-81) And Lot when he said to his nation "Do you commit the enormous/atrocious deed , (that) not from one/anyone from the knowledgeables did not precede you with it?" Truly you are coming/doing the men (with) lust/desire/craving from other than the women, but you are a nation (of) spoilers/wasters/extravagators."

The God says that none from the people with knowledge have done this before, why is that? It is because the path of homosexuality does not have a past, homosexuals cannot reproduce (which is the reaosn why it is not hereditary, but mental disease).

The problem of homosexuality starts from perverse sex between men and women (anal sex etc), and progresses to the ultimate perversion, sex between the same gender which does not create.

I only wish to note that both Abraham (1174) and Lut (1177) we concerned about the fate of Lut's people. They had compassion and did not take any delight in the forthcoming destruction. However Allah reminded Abraham (1176) that the command was his alone.

          Peace,

Muslims stress a lot about homosexuality, but I think the Quran makes it clear that homosexual acts are as depraved as adultery.

Absolutely, we should be concerned about every single being, but we never compromise on our position as far as rejecting acts/deeds.

              Salaam Kyle,

Man and woman were created to reproduce.
The Quran does not support what you say. The only Ayah that so clearly points out the reason why we were created is Ayah.

Some of us were created with the ability to reproduce, others were not, as in the Ayah . And those who were given that ability still have the choice to whether reproduce or not almost as the choice to get married or not. What if we chose not to marry, let alone reproduce, would that be considered a sin, or against Allah's Plan!?

Man and man, or woman and woman cannot reproduce, therefore it equals the end of mankind.
You really don't have to worry about the end of mankind. Mankind had been cleared and replaced plenty of times while they still reproduced!

              Taj

Whether or not homosexuality is wrong and unnatural, which I think it is, we don't have the right to take away a gay persons basic human rights or treat him/her badly. God never told us to act harshly towards them. God had a problem with them and so He Himself delt with them.

                  About homosexuality...

I don't know if anybody has pointed out this before but I find a highly provocative site that basically said that Islam promotes homosexuality! And so-called Muslim terrorists crash planes into buildings to get to heaven where they can enjoy boys!

In the Beginning..... The Muslim/Islamic PEDERAST!

The woman who wrote it surely has a twisted, bigoted mind. However, you can find some interesting hadits there to add to the revolting hadits collection...

Yes, to serve the God. So the question is, how do you serve the God? To make it simpler, what are your eyes for? What is your nose for? What is your ears for? How about your Feet? Your tounge?

Do you use all of the above instuments for the PURPOSE they were designed? Well then what about the penis and vagina, which fit perfectly together, what are they for? What is thier PURPOSE? We are to look at the descriptions(names) of the God and emulate them in our lives. How will you emulate the CREATOR? And before you faer that statement, let me remind you that the God says that HE is teh BEST of Cretors, which means that we are creators as well, on a much smaller scale. So how will the HUMAN create? How did ALL OF US HERE get here, through Homosexuality?

Some of us were created with the ability to reproduce, others were not, as in the Ayah .

Sure, and some were created blind and deaf, etc. Does this mean that they should use thier eyes for bowling balls since they don't work? Are you indicating that since they cannot have children that they should just indulge in EXCESS PLEASURES with the same sex? To perform an act without PURPOSE?

And those who were given that ability still have the choice to whether reproduce or not almost as the choice to get married or not. What if we chose not to marry, let alone reproduce, would that be considered a sin, or against Allah's Plan!?

Verses such as 2432 spek about Marriage, and there are many principles which are to be followed, how do you say that this is not part of the God's system for mankind? I do not say the God has prohibited being single and not having children, but it is certainly what the messengers(our examples) did. What example are you following?

(133 And We had sent messengers from before you and We made for them spouses and descendants. And (it) was not to a messenger that he comes with a sign except with The God's permission, to every term/time (is) a judgment/fate .

I am not sure what you are talking about, but let us not get to far away from the subject, which is homoSEXuality.

                        Peace be upon you FK,

Thats just it FK, the Human mind has the capability of being conditioned in ANY MANNER. So we cannot live life by our "likes" and "dislikes" as they are subject to change. Things we "like" as kids we "dislike" as adults and vice versa. Even people of same ages "like" and "dislike" differenty, depending on thier conditioning. We have to protect ourself from outer conditioning and get in tune with the God's "conditining" which is based on Truth. So wether you "like" or "dislike" the same sex the TRUTH is that the penis and vagina are DESIGNED in TRUTH, they work together. D

The trick that Homosexuals use is that tricky word "love". We should be LOVING all mankind, that does not imply SEX though. I LOVE my father and my nephews and my uncles, etc, I CERTAINLY have no desire to have sex with them. D

                          Well said Kyle,

                          1. O you who believe, it is not lawful for you to inherit the women by force, nor that you become harsh with them to take away some of what you have given them, unless they commit a clear lewdness. And live with them in kindness. If you dislike them, then perhaps you may dislike something and God makes in it much good.

                          Peace. )

Thank you brothers and sisters for all of your responses,

I do have some observations that I need your contribution in

1- We have to agree that most of your opinions were based on your own personal feelings rather than direct rulings in the Qur'an.
2- The Qur'an is very clear and direct when it comes to Adultery. The link to Homosexuality in the Lut Story is indirect.
3- If GOD destroyed the people of Lut for the crime of "male Homosexulaity", then why did he destroy the men and the women in the town?

                              26166
26166 And leave the wives your Lord created for you ? Nay, but ye are froward folk.
According to this Ayah, the women were some sort of victims.
4- What is your opinion on female homosexuality? The Qur'an does not talk about it.
5- What is your opinion of "Ghilmanun mukhalladoon" in paradise?

Thank you brothers and sisters for your opinions in advance.

                                Peace,

This is my opinion (as much as possible based on the Quran)

idea We are told in the Quran that we must submit to God's will.

idea We are also told that those who refused to do so incurred God's wrath upon themeselves - be them average humans or even a prophet (notice, God even punished Jonah for not submitting to God's will and abandoning God's project, just like the pharoh was punished).

idea We are also told that God does whatever pleases God.

idea If God made you a man and someone a woman, do you not agree that was God's will?

idea If yes, then to God's will we must submit. "Submitting" means we ought to do the jobs that God has already sorted out for us (namely, women and men marry, set up a family, children, etc).

idea If you refuse God's will by saying I won't submit to the arrangement you've already made, then in my opinion that's disobeying God.

That's my humble opinion, but God knows best.

to answer some of your questions

3-they weren't destroyed for male homosexuality alone, check the other verses speaking on this
4-if you know the Arabic (not implying you don't) then you can clearly see that 415-16 speak on a punishment for homosexuality by both male and female, so female homosexuality is wrong as well

23 5. And who guard their private parts,
23 6. Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable

                                    1. And as for those who are guilty of an indecency from among your women, call to witnesses against them four (witnesses) from among you; then if they bear witness confine them to the houses until death takes them away or Allah opens some way for them.

                                    Peace!
                                    Tony

However, one thing bugs me..I cannot see in the Quran any prohibition for woman to woman marriages. The prohibitions for marriage are all addressed to men, and it is clear that a man cannot marry another man.

I need your input regarding woman to woman marriages.. IN THE LIGHT OF THE QURAN.

                                      Peace!

                                          Peace,

Well, everything in the Quran is addressed to men. Even the place where it says don't marry idolworshipping women, it tells the man to not give away their daugthers to idolworshippers. Unlike men, it doesn't address the women asking them not the marry idolworhsipping men. The Quran never directly address anything to women as far as I know...I wonder whY???

But in light to your question, I believe the homosexuality laws apply to women too, just like the other laws that are not addressed to women do because there's that other verses, that says for the believing men, believing women....chaste men, chaste women...thus this verse equates both the good/bad deeds for men and women making it clear that what applies to men, applies to women too. And I seriously doubt if its a-okay with God if two women get married lol
