If he could correct the notion and the tone the jewish are the chosen people for spreading the message of the monotheism of Quran, then he is guided in righteousness; and that would have been a beautiful speech. Quran is for the entire jinn and mankind; and Allah chooses from among every fallen tribe His chosen messengers.

I think he means the Jewish community should have been the carrier of the prophetic banner given their prophets and scriptures. The Quran in some cases does speak as if they of all the communities should have at least recognized the Quranic message unlike the pagans who to them this was all new. The problem is this requires faith and in a poll done in America almost half of the synagogue gowers in America were atheist. So faith is not that strong in the Jewish community over all.
