Assalamualaikum.Praise to Allah
I'm still wondering in my mind something about, if we reciting The Qoran in original teks (Arabic) correctly, we can get more benefits, example the calmness, healthy etc.
I'm still not sure about it, but following this circumstances
a) In my country , there are Islamic medication called Ruqyah .In the process the patient who affected by black magic or possesed by djinn was recovered with Islamic clearic reciting Quran and some dua in Arabic.b) According some scientist, if people hearing or reciting Quran in Arabic will gets some health benefits.
c) In 1782 , is that verse means that Quran can became our medicine.
So please I ask your opinons, Is that true that reciting Quran in Arabic has more value than reading it in other languages and translation just used to understand Its meaning? sun

Peace, the healing (spiritual) comes from understanding the words not chanting mindlessly as a drunkard...

So do you mean if reciting in Arabic is useless, and what about the Ruqyah, Is the practicer collaborated with djinn to recover their patient even they reciting the Quran? and what about scientist says, its false?

Peace,
This is something that has bothered me too. There are several verses which point out to the fact that the Qura 's purpose is to be understood. But then I are these people repeating arabic without understanding a single word and "magically" curing people affected by black magic or evil spirits etc.

It's the same as reciting the Torah in Hebrew or reciting the Tao The Ching in Ancient Chinese... correctly..
Some people get 'more benefits' some people get 'some benefits' some people get 'no benefits' at all..
It depends..Salam / Peace

Salam,
I believe it can be soothing to recite quran or listen to it in Arabic. However it needs to taken into consideration that christians and jews banish demons and cure illnesses reciting their own scripture as well. Sure you can say that those cases are rigged or scams but I think curing ailments and ridding djinns is Allah's doing Alone. Basically, if Allah wants to cure you, you will be cured. Even with uranium!

Salam,
I think it has two sides. One the one hand, listening to Quran recitations in arabic is like listening to good music. I get into a state of calmness when I listen for example to my friend's recitations. If I did it myself, I doubt it would have the same effect as my pronounciation is still too bad...On the other hand, reading the Quran in my own language does me good because of the meaning. So if you understand arabic well, both effects may come together.
