As-sallaamu ''alaykumu wa rahmatullAhi wa barakaatuhu!

I am so happy I found your forum. 6 years ago, my conversion to the only true faith began and al-hamdulillAhi, two years ago, I even started praying and learning how to pronounce Qur'anic suras. Although it is never used in any of my doccuments, I have chosen the name ''Abdurrazzaaq (the slave of The Provider). I am happy to have found this forum and people who know that only Qur'an is the non-changing, holy and eternal word of Allah, subhaanahu wa ta''aalaa. I don't like sectarian divisions into "shias", "sunnis" and so on. I hope we will enjoy exchanging our ideas. Greetings to all of you!

Wa 3alayka salaam, brother, thank you. I hardly believed in something like religion, I only believed that there is only one God. I was born as Orthodox Christian and baptized at the age of 11. After searching the truth between exotic Asian religions and after failing to find any purpose in those religions, or something like rules or obligations, I was worried.
Alhamdulillaahi, I discovered the truth 6 years ago, when I was 20. I started reading on the internet and that is how I discovered the right path. I have read Qur'an and I will do it many more times again, inshAllaah.

And sectarian divisions into "Christians", "Moslems", "Non-Moslems", "Buddhist", "Jews", "Taoist" is OK?

I found that Islam and the Quran was one of the last religions I looked at when searching for faith. I remember when I was a teenager researching new age religions, as I got into that for several years, I had these considerations that maybe I should look into Islam, I was born Muslim though but never really taught a huge amount, I knew the basic, but something kept putting me off. I thought I can never do those 5 daily prayers, and I was thinking of the Hadith based version of Islam where women are generally considered subordinate. I still considered it a great faith all those years, and during my time following new age religion I felt this pull towards one God and an Islamic way. It took some but finally started researching the Quran and Islam properly. Anyway, I just felt like sharing that when you mentioned alternative/Asian religions. )
