Australian Quranists

Hi Everyone,

I have newly realized I am not alone in views on Islam I have held for a long time and realizing I hold a 'Quranist' view has helped me a lot.

I live in Sydney, Australia. I would be very interested in finding out how many people in Australia are Quranists, and especially if there are any in Sydney. I would be very interested in organizing or participating in meet ups to discuss ideas etc.

Looking ofrward to responses, please feel free to fill me in on anything already happening in Sydney!

You're not alone.

There are many Aussies scattered here and there and a few that I know in Sydney. You might want to look in the Australian meetup thread and send a pm to people who are from Sydney. Not everyone is as active as they used to be.

Personally I call myself a muslim, not a Quranist.

Hello me & my husband follow Quran only, we're from Melbourne. . Im a convert so before I met him, for 2 years I was searching into Islam and because I had many muslim friends of different sects, my mind blew away and it didnt make sense until the first thing my now husband said to me was you only need to follow Gods words which is the Quran - makes sense!
