Nice pic. I like the prayers, I think the people who put them here do so out of sincerity and I know I make du'a for people so why can't people express it in words? Just like I write sometimes after Allah (swt) because it reminds me to glorify His name. I also think I said on this thread that I was thinking of taking a step back from this forum in terms of the way debates are but then posts came up that I wanted to respond to as well as my own thread - isn't that just the way?
I guess. It is totally up to you though, you are not obliged to answer anyone's questions. Their journey will take fold regardless. I personally like the idea of discussion forms. I met a really good friend from Canada on a discussion forum and she was there for me during my hardest times. I also met my Uncle on a discussion forum who used to play cricket with my dad when they were young. We speak to each other every weekend now. You never know where your next click or reply will take you.

Discussion, whether online or not, is varied for me. I've had both positive and negative experiences but from all the "negative" experiences I learnt something. So, in that sense, i benefited something from them.
In terms of finding more on the Quran alone perspective, discussion forums are probably one of the best resources. Because its all about individual perspectives, finding where they align and diverge. Plus, it's all "raw", not filtered through publishing etc, if that's the best way to put it. Then again, I don't take too much on board because I just want to go to the Quran with a fresh mind. I know the different possible interpretations, but I still want to understand the Message for what it is, as God (swt) guides me.

Qawlun maAAroof is an attribute of the Quran, and this what you have been deleting, everything in the Book is explained, "Qawl Maroof" does not mean the nice words or flowery saying according to our own understanding, I quoted the ayats and than the accusation started.
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Bring us a Qur'an other than this or change it." Say, , "It is not for me to change it on my own accord. I only follow what is revealed to me. Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day." 1015
To "Man of Faith" it is a general understanding about any discussion or a forum to provide facts/proofs to establish your arguments/statement in relation to the topic, hence when we discuss Islam, one must be able to establish according to Allah's Ayats, to justify your own understanding according to Allah not according to xyz, this is also the practice of messenger "Sunhat-e-Rasool" therefore Allah commanded us to Say "QUL" 333 times in Quran. And if we fail to do so, we are associating/ascribing things with Allah. An example of this is "Iblis" who denied Allah's command and than associated words with Allah, 233-34.
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin. 448
How can we establish Islam without Allah's word? this is what Iblis did he excluded Allah's spirit "Rooh" the "kalimaat" Allah taught Adam and he did not prostate while the Maliaka did. Therefore, I make sure my statements are backed up by Quranic ayahs, however, if my own words "not Allah's Ayats" has offended you please accept my humble apology.
So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 1529
A believer attitude when they hear Allah and His Messenger
The answer of the Believers, when summoned to Allah and His Messenger, in order that He may judge between them, is no other than this they say, "We hear and we obey" it is such as these that will attain felicity. 2451
and for the non believer
And those who disbelieve say, "Do not listen to this Qur'an and speak noisily during it that perhaps you will overcome." 4126
Finally, I agree with "supportpeacenotwar" with the standard of this forum, however, I do believe there are people in this forum who are constructively participating and establishing the truth.
But than again the only people who will recite the book
Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it - it is they who are the losers. 2121

- Don't talk
- Talk to yourself
Although I once did see a man arguing profusely with an invisible enemy.
But if you give your opinion, be prepared for others giving their views that may
not agree with yours for whatever reason.peace

It is a general statement for anyone and everyone who is searching for truth. It is a process of check and balance in case we associate things with Allah, which He has not said/authorize or vice versa.

Woah, I'm not sure what you mean by that but it makes it sound like I said something negative. I think I said something about how things can get a bit frustrating - like any forum or any debate. It's human nature and part of the learning process. On the whole I have found more positive than negative here and I enjoy reading many posts here. I also think there are many people who are participating in a constructive way. We're all human in that we all have flaws and have imperfect patience.

I am not sure what do you mean I tried to explain to you what you quoted me 2263. that "Maroof" is the attribute of Quran. What is so offensive about it, and I further explained the background what your were referring to. It is not about world cup it is about Allah I believe.
