Really like this! I would just like to mention the reason I get a lecture for nail polish is because I am washing my hands but the polish creates a barrier in which the water is not touching the nail bed so my nails are contaminated. My reply was simply, "well I don't paint them right after changing a poopy diaper".

Also this Note that the Quran doesn't order the extra things we have created such as rinsing the mouth, or wiping till the neck etc.

Maybe that was a slight typo.

Few problems with your article

"Taquluna" doesn't mean recitation of the Koran or silently listening. And isn't this what people do - recite verses of the Koran or listen in silence? Doesn't "Taquluna" mean talking or speaking?

Ok how does sexual intercourse result in distance from spirituality? Help me to understand that. and how does taking a bath purify a woman from sexual intercourse when seminal fluid is inside her? I would like to know how you came to this understanding from the Koran (without any prejudiced or outside influences) that this verse refers to sexual intercourse? Are you saying that physically purity is a requirement to attain spiritual purification? Please explain.

So a person who has urinary incontinence and has to wear a pad at all times can never be physically pure to do salat? If what you say is correct, then a woman needs to change her underwear to clean ones every time before doing salat as there is vaginal secretions on her underwear depending on her cycle. You can wash your hands, face, feet but does that mean you are in a state of physical purity when you have urine or vaginal secretions on your underwear? So if a woman is doing her salat and coughs which results in urinary leakage (happens to a lot of elderly or some young woman after childbirth) that means the salat is void based on how this verse has been traditionally translated.

At the same time, the same verse that you quoted does not support your deduction/logic as you can be in a state of junuban and yet do salat when you are 'abiri sabilin'. Can you explain that?

The more I look at these verses and contemplating about them, the less and less they make sense in the way they are translated and generally understood.

What is the purpose of wearing cosmetics? For some women it is to "be more attractive" or to appear more beautiful.
Can we be spiritually pure if we are in a state of mind of being dissatisfied with ourselves as God made us and feel a deep seated insecurity of being our "natural self" ? Or if we feel the need to enhance our attributes to attract attention from men and compete against "rival" females is that compatible with spiritual purity?

For some women wearing make up/cosmetics, jewellery etc is an outlet for their individual creativity rather than insecurity about their physical appearance or a need to attract attention. So does spiritual purity in relation to make up/ cosmetics / depend on why we wear it?

No I don't think so. One might consider looking and feeling your best caring about your appearances to be a good thing. Not a negative thing.

The word is 'Zeenat'; it refers to 'beauty' in general. And no, I believe it can be understood as keeping oneself morally beautiful, that is, spiritually pure. On the other hand, as far as physically beautifying oneself is concerned, like you said, it is not necessary that you do that to attract the opposite gender or compete with the same gender, rather, it can be done for oneself as well. Keeping oneself clean, and adorned certainly is "an outlet for their individual creativity".

Like I said, there are two roots used in the verses, 't-h-r' and 'gh-s-l', and in the verb form, the former 90% of the times I have seen it in the Quran is used to denote 'spiritually cleaning oneself/purifying oneself', and the latter is used to denote 'physical washing/cleaning oneself'. And I don't understand your second question.
