    Salaam earth,

I focus my prayers on free speech with God, which I normally do before and after the actual physical movement. I recite the first chapter of the Quran, mostly in lack of better options and that this one is right on spot regarding the text content. The chapter is an opener to this book and a short one consisting of 7 verses. I have had thoughts about adding more custom sayings besides the 7 verses, but so far it is enough.

I have no personal consensus whether it is always only 2 sets of prostrations or 4, 3 sometimes.

Therefore I still do the traditional 2 4 4 3 4 on the "mandatory" prayers. Some code 19 stuff is keeping me from going away from this before I have researched further into this.

It feels a bit as praying like a robot though, so I have implored God about it, I have a feeling that 2 2 2 is the correct prayer sequence, ie 3 prayers daily with 2 sets of prostrations each. But I am waiting until I have studied this more deeply.

I have some strange "signs" though which hint at the sequence 2 4 4 3 4. Difficult to explain what.

Some people argue that Salat is purely something spiritual and I agree with that too, but we should always be in a state of prayer. The ritual is to intensify this feeling, in my opinion. The whole Quran is a recommendation on how to live righteously, but we can do our own versions as long as we fulfill the tree basic criteria.

    1. Believe in God alone
    2. Believe in the Hereafter
    3. Be a righteous person

    God bless you

my salat is reading normally and thinking about quran.
i don't prosternate towards a cubic stone in the desert.
The salat you are speaking about is not part of my deen (religion)

I never found verses that says we must recite and thinking Quran during salat, so what verses do you used for bases?

Therefore I still do the traditional 2 4 4 3 4 on the "mandatory" prayers. Some code 19 stuff is keeping me from going away from this before I have researched further into this.

Rashad Khalifa is not 100% Quraniyoon since he still follow hadith's salat.
Why I reject code 19 is

      1. Sahabah is not stupidly created Mushaf Quran by injecting 2 false verses like 19ers says.If it any some mistake why Muslims before our generation not realize it.
        2)Furthermore look at this sitehttp//www.letmeturnthetables.com/2010/11/alleged-false-verses-9128-9-of-quran.html

        Salaam,

I do not follow Dr. Khalifa, I follow my own discovery of 19 coded stuff. I know full well Dr. Khalifa was inventing his own ideas about religion and I do not defend him.

No matter this I am convinced the Quran has a mathematical composition. I am not certain about the two disputed verses in surah 9 however. It feels wrong to remove them. I do not usually bother about them, they are irrelevant for understanding of the religion anyways, since Muhammad is dead.

I mainly use the simpler code 19 stuff to refer to a composition in Quran such as lips touch each other exactly 19 times while reciting surah 1 and that the missing basmala in surah 9 reoccur 19 surah later. I am completely certain that 19 is a signature of God.

I do not know if you see the above mentioned things as coincidence, but I do not.

        God bless you

            Assalamualaikum

After some doubtful.I finally get conclusion for what we must reciting during Salat.

            Look this verse

            1. 17107Say, "Believe in it or do not believe. Indeed, those who were given knowledge before it - when it is recited to them, they fall upon their faces in prostration,
17108 And they say, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled."
17109 And they fall upon their faces weeping, and the Qur'an increases them in humble submission.

From that verse we know that they are do prostating (sujud).

            1. Then Allah through Muhammad ordered them to say "Allah, Ar-Rahman" and other Allah's name during salat

17110 Say "Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well) for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Neither speak thy Prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone, but seek a middle course between.(other verse talking the same7625, 2239, 341)

            and dua for closing salat

17111 And say, "Praise to Allah , who has not taken a son and has had no partner in dominion and has no protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with glorification."

            Conclusion

a)The verses above is only verses that tell us for what we must say during salat.
b)We only say "Allah,Ar-Rahman" and other Allah's Name" during salat and for closing dua is 17111.
c)Some Quranist still recite Al-Fateha then another Surah during standing position in salat. It is actually based from fabricated hadith.
c)If we recite Quran during salat, how we understand what we saying (443) especially who don't understand Arab.
d)You can create your own dua "after" salat based your own needs.

Well this is just my opinion. How about you )

            Hi Earthdom,

"Prostating on chin", suddenly I imagine some humorous thinking D.What kind of movement like this?

Btw, from where the word "chin" appeared?

Of course to translate a word in Quran, we must look on surrounding sentences, because Arabic words have multiple meaning, we must choose the fit meaning for the verses.

Well seriously, what on earth is "athqani" - that aought to be the quistion? is it faces as in 17109,107

                or chins as in 368

But of course each person can decide according to their God given intelligence peace

No it isn't - these verses probably do not tell you what to read in the Quran. . .

Say, "Believe in it or do not believe. Indeed, those who were given knowledge before it - when it is recited to them, they fall upon their faces in prostration,

How is this telling the believers what to recite?

                      So what verse does?

                      This

                      7320

"Indeed, your Lord knows, , that you stand almost two thirds of the night or half of it or a third of it, and a group of those with you. And Allah determines the night and the day. He has known that you will not be able to do it and has turned to you in forgiveness, so recite what is easy of the Qur'an. He has known that there will be among you those who are ill and others traveling throughout the land seeking of the bounty of Allah and others fighting for the cause of Allah . So recite what is easy from it and establish prayer and give zakah and loan Allah a goodly loan. And whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah . It is better and greater in reward. And seek forgiveness of Allah . Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

Recite whatever is easy from the Quran.

"b)We only say "Allah,Ar-Rahman" and other Allah's Name" during salat and for closing dua is 17111."

                      No we don't.

"c)Some Quranist still recite Al-Fateha then another Surah during standing position in salat. It is actually based from fabricated hadith."

There is not one but several hadith about this . . . so where is your evidence that they are fabricated?

                      The Hanafi say

Any Hadith that says Surah Fatiha is a must . . . is in direct contradiction with the Quran . . . verse 7320 - as you are commanded to read whatever is easy.

Now in Hanafi Usul al-Fiqh - a Hadith is only rejected outright - when you cannot combine the Quran and Hadith . . . and act with both of them - in such a way - the command of Quran remains intact and is not affected.

Hence - only reading is Farad - absolute command - rejecting of which is not possible.

Reading of Fathiha - isn't given the same status . . . but read to perfect the Salat.

"c)If we recite Quran during salat, how we understand what we saying (443) especially who don't understand Arab."

It is not necessary to understand Arabic for prayers . . .

                      443

O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah, except those passing through , until you have washed . And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands . Indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving.

Only talks about - that you cannot pray intoxicated - hence the "until". It is not about knowing Arabic.

"d)You can create your own dua "after" salat based your own needs."

Yes - there is no set Dua - after Salah - however those from the Quran are better.

Yes I still recite Al-Fatehah, during salat.

Recite whatever is easy from the Quran.

There is some misunderstanding, both word 'read' n 'recite' , if translated to Indonesian is 'bacalah'

                        so'read' ='bacalah'
                        'recite' ='bacalah'

I am Sunni - 100% and I believe it to be the right path. And the "Quran only" to be dangerous and wrong - to the extent many are outside the fold of Islam.

I cannot comment on the Indonesian language. However - In Arabic and English

The word used is Iqra - in the imperative verb form.

In English the word recite means "to repeat the words of, as from memory, especially in a formal manner"

The word Iqra - can mean both - to read and recite. The usage is dependent on the context. . . in case of formal prayers - one recites from memory rather than read.

This is what I means, because Sunni and Quran alone teaching n tafseer was different so there is no point debating about salat.

I don't think English is your first language. I find it difficult to decipher what you mean.

@Pixelrow.Of course not, so sorry for my bad grammar.

What I means is? Because Sunni n Quran Alone have different in teaching n tafseer,
So there is no point to debate about salat.

                                  Ok . . . however - doesn't debate usually occur on difference?

                                  Dictionary.com

                                  1. a discussion, as of a public question in an assembly, involving opposing viewpoints a debate in the Senate on farm price supports.

                                  2. a formal contest in which the affirmative and negative sides of a proposition are advocated by opposing speakers.

Primary meaning of the word "debate".

                                    I don't know who you're, I don't know where you came from.

Now the word "debate" was used by people around the world. In Indonesia the world "debate" is "debat" without 'e'.
                                    Different language means different interpretation.

But I believe, most people define debate as dialogue between people, groups to defending each own argument.

So, I will not confusing about word debate or another language gaps, since it's off-topic in this forum.

                                      Peace,

Is it not pointless to debate when one side is completely ruling out hadith and the other side validate the use of hadith. We do not even play the same game but have different rules.

Of course, there are some people here who accept hadith, but I doubt anyone of them think you need them to understand Quran (except one perhaps).

First you need to understand why people ignore hadith, but if you fail to do so I think you will never get anywhere in debates here.

With you hardline attitude it may pose a problem for you though.

                                      God bless you

Why don't you just ask me - if you want to find out?

I cannot answer for Indonesian - as I don't know the language . . . but meaning of debate in English - I gave from the dicitoanry. It not my definition.
