    Salaams,

Have we made an invisible idol of Allah and thus are satisfied with the worship so we don't think it necessary to do really practical deeds, like our friends in india.

just started wondering from what the people did, after the bhopal tragedy so much money was paid for the sufferers but hardly a drop reached the sufferers- was that due to the effects of idol worshipping or what.

Again so much food was sent to even pakistan for the refugees, afganian, but you could buy the products sent for the refugees on the streets of the major cities,is that also ,fact, due to idol worshipping.

So much armament was given to pakistan for passing to the mujahideens for fighting the russians but most of it is what i have heard still sitting in pakistan?

Isn't or is this all due to the effects of idol worship?

i wonder if there are more such examples in the arab world or else where.

    Thanks.

    Salaams.

Believing in the worldly knowledge, things and the people is pure idol worshipping.

          Peace be upon you drfazl,

Can I ask, how do you define 'believing' in wordly knowledge, things and people is pure idol worshipping?

I do not understand how you make worldly knowledge = idol worship.

The fact that you know how to do up a zipper, tie a button, drive a car, read Arabic, write English etc surely depends upon this worldly knowledge. What other source of knowledge do you have, otherworldly?

I do not mean to sound rude, but i am seriously confused with your viewpoint here.

Please elaborate at length if you will.

          Peace
          d

Still less can their knowledge comprehend the Hereafter Nay, they are in doubt and uncertainty concerning it; nay, they are blind to it!

Our understanding regarding the hereafter is very low for what we have with us is the lowly knowledge such as Seeing, hearing; reading and writing. Above this is the philosophical understading whcih will elevate us far above in degree from the level and dirrection of the worldly knowledge. Further above in status, over the philosophical understanding is the spiritual intellect.

To believe in the unseen hereafter we need the spiritual intellect but our discussion here is centred around seeing is believing or believing only in materialistic understading. We cannot equate, the worldly knowledge of seeing is believing with the spiritual i.e., all-inclusive comprehensive, intelligence of spiritual vision that makes us a believer in the unseen hereafter. Unless we are believiers in the hereafter we are not muslims. So how are we going to elevate ourselves to the expected standard as believers?

Much above the spitiual enlightenment is Allah's knowledge - the Wahy. In the Human language we may call it as the Wisdom or the Truth. Speaking of Allah's knowledge, Allah says

010.109 Follow thou the Wahy sent unto thee, and be patient and constant, till Allah do decide for He is the best to decide.

In all decisive matters Allah's knowledge is final. We shall but use our knowledge in certain way that it teaches you the worldly knowledge is self-limited, defective and deficient, making you turn towards allah for the eternal knowledge that leads you in the straight path. At this stage the 'wahy' from Allah descends upon us. Unless we denounce the worldly knowledge, wahy is forbidden for us and thus we keepourselves far away from knowing the Truth. If we stay boastful with the acquired knowledge of the people around, then, we are the losers and are the deniers of Allah's knowledge.

Allah's knowledge and Worldly knowledge are worlds apart. If we equate our knowledge with Alah's, it is like associating or equalling ourselves with Allah - shirk already committed. The following verse clearly identifies that Allah's knowledge shall never be compared with the worldly kowledge; that allah had allowed it as a test only for you in this world; that you denounce it with all your knowledge gathered together to pass the test and to enter the state of wisdom at which point allah allows the wahy to descend upon you.

            011 013, 014
Or, do they say He has forged it. Say Then bring ten forged chapters like it and call upon whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful. But if they do not answer you, then know that it is revealed by Allah's knowledge and that there is no god but He; will you then submit?

As far as Quran is concerned worldly knowledge all gathered together cannot explain the revelations for the truth is with Allah alone. Seek Allah's knowledge and let us each follow the Wahy, that allah shall send down upon each of us!

            010.109
And follow the wahy and be patient till Allah should decide, and He is the best of the judges.

              Peace be upon you Doctor,

(2877) "And wish/desire in what The God gave you, the home (of) the end, and do not forget your share/fortune in the present world...

Yes, we have to seek the Wisdom of the God, but we are not to become unbalanced and forget our share in the present, we all share in the present illusory life of his world. We are all individuals (indivisible dualities). At the highest level, we are all ONE, but at the lower physical level, we are seperated. YES, we are to seek that part which makes us all ONE, but we can never forget that we also have a part that is seperated and we should never reject that while we are still here on earth.

If you really believed in what you are saying here, why do you continue to speak with your worldly mouth in worldly languages, or why do you even use a worldly computer to write a worldly language. Your position does have some truth in it, but I thinkn you have taken it too far to the other side. We must return to the middle,to the balance.

And seek by means of what Allah has given you the future abode, and do not neglect your portion of this world, and do good as Allah does good to you, and do not seek to make mischief in the land, surely Allah does not love the mischief-makers.

                idolfree,
                May Allas Bless

Shaitan has made the people of the world to lose their God Endowed Wisdom as a result they have become a fallen community. In disgrace they had made their own entry into a world of delusion. Yet, Allah is still forgiving and merciful. Off and on Allah sendsforth His torment and misery, inorder that they might return to HIM, seeking pardon. If at all Allah delivers them of their distress with His Wisdom, He only wants them to see His 'sign' therein and get a firm hold onto it. But once they are saved from their adversities, despite they see the sign of Allah in it, let go of their grip on it and fall again into the depths of hell.

Our future abode is illusion-free life towards which we shall aspire. The only means to inherit it again is to gain back the wisdom we lost. Allah is closely keeping watch over you and attentive towards you,- to shower His grace upon you when you seek from Him truthfully. He wants you to do good as He does to you and admonishes we shall never forget our share of doing good, speaking the truth and communicating the God given wisdom to those who seek it faithfully.

                086.008
Surely He is able to bring him back.

idolfree, if only you follow the postings you can see it for sure i am not speaking with your worldly mouth in worldly languages, or even use a worldly computer to write a worldly knowledge but revealing the God given expression with the communicative wisdom, that is hard to visualize through the physical means but easy to envision in the hearts, pure!

                  Peace be upon you Doctor,

All I see is flowery discourse. The more we zoom in on a topic for clarification, the more you come back with flowery discourse.

I think it is best if we discontinue our debate.

                  Peace to you still.

                      As'Salaam Alaikum All,

I would like to add a few points if I may.

                      Al-Qur'an, Al-Ikhlas

                      Qul huwa Allhu aad(un)

                      Say He is Allah, the One and Only;

Allah is the only "reality", any concept of a "being" separate or outside the Oneness of Allah is an "illusion"

                      Allhu a(l)amad(u)

                      Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

Allah is... as Allah always was... everything in creation exists within Allah, as the Eternal, Absolute... nothing can exist "outside of Allah.

                      Lam yalid walam yoolad(u)

                      He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

Allah begets not, creation does not exist separate from Hu, it is manifested existents ("appearances") of Allah, outside of Allah's being they do not exist.

                      Walam yakun lahu kufuwan aad(un)

And there is none like unto Him.

Our knowledge, wisdom, understanding (whatever you choose to identify it as) is a result of removing the veil(covering) of a separate self and returning to the Oneness of Allah, for there is nothing to worship... there is only Allah. "In Hu we live and have our being". To abandon the world, which is no less an appearance of Allah then we are, is to lose sight of the "reality" of Allah's Oneness. We are here for a purpose... to learn how to transcend our attachments to the many "appearances" or individuated expressions of Allah and return to Hu's Oneness. That is why the Qur'an warns us not to become preoccupied with the things of the world... they are/we are ALL illusions (that includes our intellects). It is our "false sense" of self that must be abandoned.

                      Al-Qur'an, Adh-Dhariyat 5120,21

                      Wafee al-ari ytun lilmooqineen(a)

On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith,

                      Wafee anfusikum afal tubiroon(a)
As also in your own selves Will ye not then see?

                      This is my humble understanding.

                      Ma'Salaam,
                      Olu'sanya
