Yes! Its a pain for me to write posts on my cell due to some unsupported code. My text indicator is hard to control at times and usually doesn't happen with many other sites.

If you make a mobile version i would be so happy! Tapatalk wouldn't hurt either but i hope you use a free app alternative.

Good point, passing it on. I've hardly ever accessed the site from a mobile device but it was quite irritating.

        Peace,

There is a mobile version of this site. If you add ;wap2 after the usual address you will see another version of the site.

I think if you configure your Web browser this will occur automatically.

        God bless you

            Peace,

            No problem.

Only thing is that the mobile version of the site is a bit limited in functionality. But it is okay for reading and replying to posts.

You can also read and write PMs.

With the bad Internet I have this version is useful to me so I hope it is not removed or made "heavier".

            God bless you

I see yes, well at the moment if it seems to be working for most mobile users then don't see why we would need to change it. Think the most we do is read/reply so it should suffice.

Let us know if it doesn't work for some and perhaps we could help with workarounds etc.

              peace

                Peace,

If there is any change to be made it would be some kind of button on the full version to switch into the mobile version since so far it does not seem to be one.

I have a quite long experience with the mobile version of the site and I have been using several browsers and they seem to work fine. I have a preference for UC Browser though and it reduces the amount of data used through compression but still works fast. And free-minds forum works perfectly in it.

Unfortunately it can have some problems going from Google to a website when you click the link for some reasons. I am not sure why and if it occurs to others, however I think the issue may be with Google and the long addresses used in the links, maybe I have to update the version. But I still recommend it.

                God bless you

Alrighty, I did forward the thread to Nadeem since I have little to no experience with the mobile versions. The button sounds good.

I tried that and i couldn't get it to work. Can you post an example link for the forum index?

i tried adding ;wap2 after http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php and it said 'page not found'.

Once you access the site normally, there is a link to WAP2 on the bottom of the page next to XHTML etc...try using that.

On the main forum index page that is.

Hi thanks for all the responses.

I'm using Samsung Galaxy Ace and I use the browser that has already existed on the mobile and there is only desktop version of this forum while using the browser. Whilst some websites such as blogs, facebook, twitter, wikiIslam (stupidest website ever) >D ,wikipedia, youtube, wordpress, shiachat (Shia forum) do have mobile versions on this type of mobile browser.

I have done what you suggested but it did not work for me

I love this forum and I think this is the best place to make friends because of my interest and belief. I'm more to mobile because I don't have my own PC.

                        Thank you.

                        Salam,
                        Yuliana,

I also wanted to mention that I use my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 70% of the time when visiting this forum.

It does work for me but I still feel like it's better to use the desktop version than the wap2 version because of its lack of some features.

I understand, it just somehow looks wrong to me. Give us some time, and we'll look for a better alternative.

MoF, the days of dialup are long gone P

Good to know it worked for you Pixel, even if it does have limited functionality...we'll def try some alternates and you guys can test it out.
