To Those Who Prohibit Reciting Prophet's Name For Shahadat and Duroot.

Sometimes I wonder how people think.... sometimes I think we get caught up in our own minds and forget what we are talking about.
Below are some questions and statements of mine. Note! They are not directed at anyone specific person, but to all of us.-
What I'm wondering is, what is the PURPOSE of mentioning the name of Muhammad time and again? What is the real purpose? What effect will it have? Let's be honest when answering this.

Do we think that mentioning this name will purify our character or help us or anyone else? Yes or No? Yes or No? If not, then WHY!?

What is this nonsense about loving and respecting the prophet? The prophet Muhammad was a person who lived a long time ago. He's dead now as far as biology is concerned. And you didn't know him. You have just heard some accounts of his actions from the quran, and of course a load of lies and BS about him from the Chronicles of Hadith. These are all stories, whether true or false. They are not even memories!! Sometimes we love the memory of someone, but NOBODY remembers the prophet! What is it that you love and respect? Let's be very clear! If you are sensible, you'd say that you love and respect what he stood for.... but then you just expose your own paradoxical behaviour. You respect good behaviour, but insist on focussing on a person. So perhaps you actually need to put all your focus on the person, disguising it as respect for good behaviour. This sounds like idol worship. You know, worshipping something doesn't mean we have to think it/he/she is at the level of God. That's a misundertanding. Idol worship includes UNDUE FOCUS and attention on something WHICH WILL DO YOU NO GOOD! You are actually engaged in a great WASTE of time and mental energy and effort.
Do you think that sending blessings on the prophet will help him now, wherever he is now? Perhaps sending blessings and similar positive energies would have aided him when he was walking on this planet, but do you think his situation will change for the better through YOUR blessings NOW that he has passed on? Save yourself instead by praying to your Creator, and start behaving properly with yourself, with others and with nature, and stop wasting your time on a specifically selected prophet that you didn't know and that you claim you don't worship.
The fact that one messenger is selected from among and above others, UNDULY and WRONGLY (as per the quran, and common sense) should also ring the alarm bells. If you'd be following the quran, you would have to mention ALL messengers you know, or cycle through them somehow, and even that would be madness because even that would not be to follow the quran.

When the hypocrites come to you they say 'We bear witness that you are the messenger of God' God knows that you are His messenger, and God bears witness that the hypocrites are liars.
It is funny to see that people started to suck up to the prophet already when he was alive, although not very surpring. People have always sucked up to people in power... and all they want is association with that person in power, so that they may seem a bit more important themselves. Such ass-kissers are basically people who have no character... the hallmark sign of a hypocrite, just like the quran says. Hypocrites kiss the asses of authority, no matter what they stand for, while sensible people follow inner guidance and knows what right to do.
Second of all, when you say that you BEAR WITNESS that Muhammad is the rasul of Allah, you are in fact lying! How can you bear witness of that??? Even if you were his neighbour when he was alive, how could you ever bear such witness?? God bears witness, not you. You judge a person from his/her actions, and something his/her words, but the only thing that is left from Muhammad now is the quran, and some very doubtful narrations. Will you bear witness through such doubtful narrations? The point of the quran is anyway not to lend credibility to the messenger, it is above and beyond that.
Also, WHY do you bear witness? WHY? Because you're afraid of what will happen if you don't? Who needs you to bear witness?
When GOD ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the
Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become satisfied.Yes, because the mind cannot fathom God, so people get bored with God alone. But with other people mentioned, they enjoy, because this is the only thing their minds can handle. God is beyond the mind, and people are often imprisoned in their mind, unfortunately, and this is partly why people don't believe in God. The MIND, a the tool of processing it is, CANNOT see the realtiy of God. You cannot THINK God into your life... you have to FEEL(connect) God (and I'm NOT talking about emotions here!). So, it's not so odd that people resort to mentioning others beside God.

Dare to ignore other names than God's name while praying. It is a disease long-lived to do so.
Praise God for sending them, all praise is due to Him. Him shall we thank for everything good.
The Prophets, Messengers and other blessed men are peacefully residing with God right now. They need no additional prayers and be patient enough and one day you will meet them and can have interesting chats with them if you like and they want that.
If a Prophet was alive today that would have been someone you could pray for, that he perseveres and all goes well. This is what the Quran talks about when it mentions prayers and blessings for Messengers and not that you should still do so now once they are gone and their mission is over. They are 'Game Over' and they received their score, just like You one day will receive.
The best way to honor the Blessed Men ever lived is by following the Message they brought. Any other way would be dishonoring them. Leave them back in your memories and focus on the now and on the Message they came with by the Grace of God.

Why is it when I used to be sunni, I found it impossible to pray or say shahada without mentioning Prophet Muhammad. I just felt too uncomfortable. It was like something was missing.
Is God not sufficient for His servant?... "Say God is sufficient for me." (Quran, 3936,3
"And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter are filled with aversion; and when others are mentioned beside Him, they rejoice!" (Qur'an 3945)

To those who advocate mentioning other than ALLAH during prayer, why not mention another Prophet, (peace upon them all)? If one feels comfortable mentioning Muhammad and NOT Jesus or Moses or any other Prophet--there is a clear sign of a problem.

Who claims that a "Shahada" is even necessary, anyway? If one wanted to make one though (as it is not forbidden), what excellent example did the Prophet Abraham make?

2130 And who would abandon the creed of Abraham except one who fools himself? We have selected him in this world, and in the Hereafter he is of the righteous.
Although we are not to distinguish between Prophets or Messengers (2136, 2185, 384, 4152), they are to be honored and not disrespected.
492 O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the prophet, nor shall you speak loudly to him as you would speak loudly to each other, lest your works become nullified while you do not perceive.

The whole question is what one is testifying to.
First of all the shahada with Muhammad does not say Muhammad is THE messenger of God, like trnaslations use to put it. but merely that muhammad is messenger (a messenger) of God.
Again if we go back to what Mhammad is called, khatam a nnabiyin what we are doing if we have that intention is testifying to the fact that God reveals, has revealed to human beings has made revelations, like the Qur'an, it is testifying to revelation and acknowledgement of the fact that God does talk to humankind.
I think we should go more to the bottom of things than to rituals, and not loose sight if we do rituals what their meaning and purpose it. Purify intention. The shahada is it a ritual or is it an expression of some sincere feeling or belief? If it is the latter we should know what we say and why.

Unfortunately there are members in here who didn't believe if Muhammad (saw) is exist and some members in here intepretate "Allah Only" very literally, so I'm not shocked if this thread turned into debate thread and never get to the point.

I reccomend to everyone to do as much as possible durood, it's benefits are beyond imagination
1.For every Durood Shareef that you recite, ten sins are forgiven, ten good deeds are entered into your sheet of actions and ten positions are upgraded.
2.Allah showers ten blessings on the man who recites a Durood.
3.The first man who will meet Muhammed on the Day of Judgement will be that person who had recited the Durood maximum number of times in his lifetime.
4.Those who recite Durood in maximum number will be nearest and dearest to Muhammad in the next world.
5.If any one is involved in a difficulty then he must recite countless number of Durood Shareefs.
6.Reciting Durood Shareef eradicates poverty and hunger.
7.If the Sawaab (meaning benefit also spelt as Thawaab) of the Durood Shareef is dedicated to another person, then that person will receive the Sawaab, while the Sawaab of the reciter will not be lessened.
8.Reciting excessive Durood Shareef brings purity.
9.Reciting maximum number of Durood Shareef is full compensation of all sins.
10.Any one who recites excessive Durood Shareef in this world will be safe and sound in the next world.
11.When a prayer is made to Allah it is never accepted unless praise of Allah Ta'ala and Durood Shareef on Muhammad is first of all recited.
12.Those who recite Durood quite often will see Divine Light on the dark Day of Judgement.
13.Three persons will be under the cool shade and the favours of Allah Ta'ala on the Doom's Day. One who kept Muhammad's Sunnah alive, one who removed difficulty of a fellow being and one who recited maximum number of Durood Shareef in his lifetime.
14.When you forget anything and your memory fails to recollect it, then recite Durood, you will remember the forgotten thing.
15.Reciting Durood in this world is rewarding in the next.
16.The reciter of 10 Duroods in the morning and 10 in the evening will receive the help of Muhammad on the Day of Judgement.
17.One who recites Durood Shareef near the shrine of Muhammad is heard by him there and then alone.
18.Any one who recites Durood is just as one who purchased a slave and freed him.
19.Muhammad said that he himself recites blessings on one who recites Durood on him.
20.Any one who wants to meet his Allah with a happy face must recite countless number of Durood Shareef.
21.Reward equivalent to a big mountain (Uhad) is given to one who recites one Durood.
22.All people will be presented to Muhammad with their habits, natures and distinct manner, so it is obligatory for a man to recite maximum number of Durood.
23.Allah is Great and Almighty to forgive all sins of the reciter during the day and night when he recites Durood Shareef.
24.If any one meets in a tragedy, he should recite Durood Shareef in countless numbers.
25.Reciting Durood is like giving something in charity.
26.Reciting maximum number of Durood kills all hardships.
27.Recite Durood Shareef in countless number on Friday, as it is presented to me (Muhammad).
28.Bad deeds of 200 years (equivalent) are obliterated if a man recites 100 Durood on Friday.
29.Anyone who recites Durood will overcome all their troubles.
30.If the name of Muhammad is mentioned and one who hears it but does not recite Durood Shareef, understand that he has forgotten the path to Paradise.
31."I pray for all those who recite Durood on me", said Muhammad.
32.If any one recites Durood Shareef from any place, any part of the world from any distance, it actually reaches Muhammad immediately. Allah Ta'ala has appointed several Angels who are given exclusive duty to collect all Durood Shareef and present the same before Muhammad immediately.
33.Angels of Allah shower 70 blessings on a man who recites Durood once.
34.Whenever you hear the call of prayers (Azaan) you should recite Durood.
35.Wherever you are, from any quarter of the world, you must recite Durood as it reaches Muhammad.
36.Ablution is not complete if Durood is not recited on it.
37.Muhammad said to his wife that any one who hears the name of Muhammad and does not recite Durood on him will not see the beautiful face of Muhammad on the Day of the Judgement.
38.Sayyiduna Ali (radi Allahu anhu) reports that Rasoolullah said, "The real miser is he in whose presence I am mentioned and then he fails to recite "Durood" on me".
39.If a person recites 1,000 Durood Shareef daily, he will never die unless he himself sees his place in Heaven with his own eyes.
40.The Durood Shareef that is recited by the person is written with a Golden Pen on a Silver tablet by the Angels. The Angels then present this Durood Shareef to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah and proclaim, "O Habeeb of Allah! The son of such and such a person has presented this gift in your majestic court".Source CLICK

After six months joining this forum and already reading some posts in here.I noticed if some Quran alone follower say if reciting Prophet's name like Muhammad, Ibrahim etc is forbidden during recite shahadat, dzikir, or even during Salat or prohibiting write name of Phrophet alongside Allah in the mosque.
But after I reopened my Quran again, I got some points

But the verses in the Quran was mentioning if we must obey Allah's Rasuls by following the messages they delivering (the Quran).

When we say something like "lailahailallah muhammadurrasulullah (There is no illah (God) beside Allah, Muhammad is Allah rasuls)".
Look by saying something like that, are we going to worship Muhammad or set a equal beside God? Not right.
It's like we honoring our national heroes, is that means we worshipping them? of course not.
It's like Nabi Muhammad, Nabi Muhammad is our beloved Islamic hero who struggling for delivering the message to his ummat.So it's not strange if we honoring him as Allah's rasul.
The conclusion is we aren't worship Muhammad but just honoring his name as a hero.which prophet? which prophet? which prophet? which prophet? which prophet? which prophet?

It is shirk simply. This is a very simple religion. Each prophet came with the message worship God alone. Ask yourself why you find it difficult to pray to God alone. If you find it difficult not to worship God without thinking about Mohammad, then you are committing shirk. simple. There is nothing to intellectualise about it.

Now... the phrase
there is no god but God and Muhammad is His messenger
.... is NOT WRONG - no, it is factually, absolutely correct! BUT so isthere is no god but God and Moses is His messenger
there is no god but God and Noah is His messenger
there is no god but God and Jesus is His messenger
there is no god but God and Lot is His messenger
... And the list goes further - much of which we have no knowledge of.
These are all correct statements, BUT mentioning any of them as a phrase just to honor a particular person as God's messenger IS MAKING A DISTINCTION. If you want to honor the prophets, then you must find a way to honor all of them (which is not possible through phrases such as the fabrication known as the "Shadah" - or "testimony of faith" - because we don't even have a comprehensive list of messengers and prophets (REFER TO THE QURAN 407.
Logically, the only way you CAN honor the prophets is by paying heed to their message and not let their efforts be in vain.

Quran clearly rules out calling others besides Allah (7194 is an example)... but what does calling someone other than Allah mean?
A. Praying to someone other than Allah;
B. Calling someone to wish peace/blessings for him;
C. Praying to Allah for someone else;
D. ALL of the above.I believe it is only A. If B is also unacceptable - then our everyday exchange of salam / greetings with each other becomes unacceptable. If C is unacceptable - how come Quran recommend to pray for the parents etc.
If there are contrary opinions, please discuss with logic.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.

C We can still pray for our parents, family, friends etc. First of all, we know them, second of all they are alive.
A prophet is not alive, and second of all we know nothing about the prophets except folklore and stories. They lived very, very long ago, so what do we really know? Nothing. Why would we pray for someone dead (as far as this worldly life is concerned) anyway? Is it for us or for them we do it? People claim to love the prophet, when actually what they really love is their mental image that they have constructed based on all stories they have heard. This image may have nothing to do with the real person who once lived. Just look at Christianity.B We can still exchange everyday salaams, but what's the point sending salaams on dead people?! This cannot be compared with greeting your shop keeper. Why would you send a greeting of peace to someone who's not present?!
The whole issue is that people address those who have passed away. What do people think they will achieve by this? Do they think the passed away ones will gain more comfort and peace, or be forgiven because of these posthumously sent prayers? Isn't THIS life the only chance we get? Isn't it a bit too late to send prayers and greetings when someone has already passed away? All these people achieve is that they end up investing alot of their mental focus on passed away people. Is this really useful?
The big question is WHY do we send prayers, greetings and salaams on passed away people? WHY? And please, let's not say it is because we love them. That's idol worship to direct your prayers and attention on someone already passed away who cannot harm nor benefit you.
At least this is my current understanding.

I think everybody can go to extremes, or rather to suspect everybody else for whateverm thus bringing forward his or her own "purity", like "I have the purest faith and your understanding is impure" or whatever. Let us not suspect other people's brains .
That somebody does not conceive of something is not a reason for somebody else not conceiving of it.
Mentionning anybody's name "beside" God is shirk? What does that "beside" mean? "God protect my children" would be shirk?
There are people here who are convinced that Muhammad is not the name of a person that it may be a collective or something of the kind, so what? What does it change. Prophecy is a Mercy for humans from the Allmight Allmerciful? What is wrong with remembering it, with praising God for it? What is wrong with remembering that we are a prophetic community, that is, that we believe that God's mercy is flowing to us that God communicates with us. Is not Muhammad (whether a person or several or simply a condition) the seal of prophets? Suppose it is not a person, but a condition or a ruh that inhabits certain people at certain times, so what is wrong with praising God's mercy, that mercy which relies us to Him.
What is wrong with grtitude to God for all his mercys on us?
I am afraid that God can also beome an idol, that is our own idea of God can also become an idol. If we can circumscribe Him so easily, I think we are close to managing god and not being creatures out of His mercy.
The heart who is grateful to God, praises all of his mercies, unbound in numbers, unbound in deepness, and remembering God's mercy of prophecy is like remembering God's mercy of knowledge of suffering of patience...
We cannot use measuring tapes for our relationship with God, it is too unmannageable. We know nothing, but we may be greatful for everything. We are serfs, not spoilt children. He outbounds anything we can think of, we are bound completely.
I suppose by know it looks as if I was nto saying anything or saying one thing and the opposite, but summing up
Let us not by stingy thinking of what other people thinks of worshipping God. Worship comes from the heart and we cannot contain it.
