    Salam Riz

What's your reason for posting this here ? The thread is about gender difference.

I'm always under the impression a massive transformation takes place in humanity before they enter Paradise. This means we arent human anymore, which means all your assumptions are too, well, assumptious, lol.

Think we will be able to eat and drink, but not defecate and urinate, this means no digestive system. The changes we go through I believe wont just be physical, but spiritual/mental too, relationships, societies, all will be completely different I suspect. Why? Simply because we all know it is impossible to create paradise on earth, we know this, human beings just carent capable, they always mess things up. I used to ponder if humans would mess Paradise up, but then realised we wouldnt be human anymore, our capability to destroy things, to feel negative emotions would be erased.

            1. Will we able to see our loved ones (like our family) in jannah?

There are numerous verses that say we do.

            1. Allah is going to wed us with the hoors in heaven, then if let's say my wife in this world (i ain't got but i'm talking hypothetically) goes to heaven and if i see her with one, won't I be jealous?

I'm still not sure about this topic either, but have read some interesting replies in this thread. I think the husband and wife only keep themselves busy with each other, and single people will have partners (post-human or from Paradise itself, I dont know), so as to not feel alone.

            1. What if someone i like more than anything goes to hell. How can I be happy when he/she is suffering?

I've often wondered similar thoughts, about people who dont believe in God but apart from that are good people, who do good deeds. Not believing is the biggest sin however, so are all their deeds for nothing? I've wondered about a purifying that takes place over time in Hell for some people before they are allowed in Paradise, but I'm not sure if that was in the Quran or not. Probably not though.

But this quote was a good answer to that question

You won't be in Jannah until you have accepted Allah's Judgment. Allah is All Just. How can you love someone who consciously insists on disobeying Allah?

You want to bring up the verse(s)? I searched through the Quran and no such descriptio of heaven or hell was found. Maybe I didn't look hard enough but I don't think its in there.

He is the One who created for you all that is on earth, then He tended to the heaven and made it seven heavens, and He is aware of all things. (229)

And Hell, for all of those, shall be the appointed place. It has seven gates, for every gate will be an assigned segment from them. (1543-44)

                  Peace,

Yea I already adressed those two verses.

For verse 229, its talking about skies.
Huwa allathee khalaqa lakum ma fee al-ardi jameeAAan thumma istawa ila alssama-i fasawwahunna sabAAa samawatin wahuwa bikulli shay-in AAaleemun

As for the one with hell, 7 gates doesn't imply seven layers in anyway.

Sorry, I did not look at your previous post.

If I am not mistaken, isn't the same word for universes/skies also the same word for heavens?

As for the one with hell, 7 gates doesn't imply seven layers in anyway.

I do not see how you came to this conclusion. IMO "every gate will be an assigned segment from them"(1544) implies different levels/layers.

Also, how can the hypocrites "be in the lowest level of the Fire" (4146) if there aren't any levels/layers in hell?

                    pz

                        Salaam All,

Allah is All Fair and All Just, and since sins are not equal in measure, so are the punishments.
We can know the categories of Hell by the different names mentioned in the Quran. They certainly are not one level with different names. I don't think so. In Hell, there is Saqar. There is Jahannam. There is Jaheem.
The same thing can be said about Jannah. There is Al Firdous. There is 3eleyeen. That is what I can remember now from the Quran. I am sure there are other names for other levels but they are escaping my mind at the moment ?

                            Salaam,

I dont know about "7 levels", but I kinda lean toward what TAJ is saying..

Allah is All Fair and All Just, and since sins are not equal in measure, so are the punishments.

I hope these verses shed more light on the subject.

                            Chapter 56

                            1. When the inevitable comes to pass.
                            2. Nothing can stop it from happening.
                            3. It will bring low, and raise up.
                            4. When the Earth will be shaken a terrible shake.
                            5. And the mountains will be wiped out.
                            6. So that they become only scattered dust.
                            7. And you will be in three groupings.
                            8. So those on the right, who will be from those on the right?
                            9. And those on the left, who will be from those on the left?
                            10. And those foremost, who will be from those foremost?
                            11. They will be the ones who are brought near.
                            12. In the paradises of bliss.
                            13. Many from the first generations.
                            14. And a few from the later generations.

                              Salaam Riz,

Now I understand your confusion! You probably never had read those names before. The translators didn't keep the proper nouns of the places or the levels of Hell.

I will give you two examples here.

Pickthall Him shall I fling unto the burning.

Yusuf Ali Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire!

Shakir I will cast him into hell.

Sher Ali Soon shall I cast him into the fire of Hell.

Khalifa I will commit him to retribution.

Palmer I will broil him in hell-fire!

Sale I will cast him to be burned in hell.

Rodwell We will surely cast him into Hell-fire.

                              Transliterated Arabic Saosleehi saqara

Pickthall On the day when it will (all) be heated in the fire of hell , and their foreheads and their flanks and their backs will be branded therewith (and it will be said unto them) Here is that which ye hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what ye used to hoard.

Yusuf Ali On the Day when heat will be produced out of that (wealth) in the fire of Hell , and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, their flanks, and their backs.- "This is the (treasure) which ye buried for yourselves taste ye, then, the (treasures) ye buried!"

Shakir On the day when it shall be heated in the fire of hell, then their foreheads and their sides and their backs shall be branded with it; this is what you hoarded up for yourselves, therefore taste what you hoarded.

Sher Ali On the day it shall be made hot in the fire of Hell, and their foreheads and their sides and their backs shall be branded therewith and it shall be said to them `This is what you hoarded for yourselves; so now taste what you hoard.'

Khalifa The day will come when their gold and silver will be heated in the fire of Hell, then used to burn their foreheads, their sides, and their backs "This is what you hoarded for yourselves, so taste what you have hoarded."

Palmer On the day when it shall be heated in the fire of hell, and their brows shall be branded therewith, and their sides and their backs! - 'This is what ye stored up for yourselves, taste then what ye stored up!'

Sale On the day shall be intensely heated in the fire of hell, and their foreheads, and their sides, and their backs shall be stigmatized therewith; , this is what ye have treasured up for your souls; taste therefore that which ye have treasured up.

Rodwell On that day their treasures shall be heated in hell fire, and their foreheads, and their sides, and their backs, shall be branded with them. . . . "This is what ye have treasured up for yourselves taste, therefore, your treasures!"

The following Ayah speaks about those divisions/levels.

Pickthall It hath seven gates, and each gate hath an appointed portion.
Yusuf Ali To it are seven gates for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned.

Sher Ali It has seven gates, and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it.

                                Peace Riz

Samawatin is used for sky as far as I understand. Sky and and universe. Heavens as in universe/space/sky.

                                Thank you for the clarification.

Afterlife heaven is janaa/janaatin, meaning garden(s).

As Idolfree1 pointed out in the birth of Isa, the garden is not confined to the afterlife, Mary attained this garden after giving birth to Isa.

And plus, I don't see why there would be levels of heaven. I can understand levels in hell, but not for heaven. Unless someone could point out a verse in the Quran that says there are layers in heaven, I don't think or believe heaven is seperated in such a manner.

I understand that drop by drop seeds are eventually nurtured into trees, but the accumulation of all the drops at one instance would drown it instantly, that is to say it would bear more than it could burden. Everything around us grows in stages and not all at once.

                                Reflect on these verses.

He is the One who shows you His signs, and He sends down to you provisions from the sky. But none care to remember except those who repent. Therefore, call on God while being pure to His system, even if the rejecters dislike it. Possessor of the highest ranks, the owner of the Throne. He sends the Angels with His command upon whom He wills from among His servants, that he may warn of the Day of Summoning. (4013-15)

These are the true believers; they will have grades with their Lord and a forgiveness and a generous provision. (84)

Such messengers, We have preferred some over others; some of them talked to God, and He raised some of them in rank (2253)

And He is the One who made you inheritors on earth, and He raised some of you over others in grades, to test you with what He had given you. Your Lord is quick to punishment, and He is Forgiving, Merciful. (6165)

And recall in the Scripture Enoch; he was a man of truth, a prophet. And We raised him to a high place. 1957,5

And he who comes to Him as a believer doing good works, for those will be the highest ranks. (2075)

This is just some brainstorming, but perhaps the first level of heaven is surrendering and the seventh level is being a believer and doing good work?

The Nomads said "We believe." Say "You have not believed, but you should say 'We have surrendered', for belief has not yet entered into your hearts." If you obey God and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. God is Forgiver, Merciful.
