Ok. But im Norwegian, People will staring at me. They dont think Norwegians are muslims

You know I am French, and since last February, I wear a headscarf and I go outside and nobody insulted me so far, and people do not stare at me either. And yet, French people do not claim to be muslim and they even have this law of taking off the headscarf at work and at school, otherwise they don't care about someone wearing headscarf in the street. What about Norway, tell me more? I heard that Norwegian people are more cool than French people about religious matters

I think brother al-amiyr sees you as a believing woman, worthy of protection. I have seen a few Muslim women going around in hijab in Sweden, and Norway is not much different, I believe. Your example will instil courage, in many who, like you are hesitant in the beginning, so be a leader.

So good that they dont care! We have not i Law like that in Norway, but we sould had it. In Norway People dont care if People go with hijab. But if People see a Norwegian muslim they stearing. I was in the mosque and People looket at me (i wear hijab in the mosqe) and a little boy said "Norway" hehe

But if you are under any pressure sister Aaleyah - then it is better for you to hide your believe for now and be as you were before without attracting any negative attention until you are fully ready to implement as much as is reasonable for you. There is no difficulty in islaam.

I understand. Thank you for advice, it means alot! But i dont hope that i dont use hijab do so i come to hell.. do you know about that? If i die tomorrw so i will be a good muslim.

Oh now I understand! People stare at native persons of a christian country converted to islaam and wearing a headscarf. Now I see, then in France also they stare at "pure French"-muslims. That is because they are used to see maghrebians-muslims and not so much French-muslims or Norwegian-muslims. And at the mosques either, the community is not formed with Norwegian-muslims or with French-muslims but with foreigners-muslims most of the time. Do not worry, they could eventually look at you more than they should, they could eventually ask you why and how did you adopt islaam as your religion, but the probability they insult you is very low I think. I remember once I was going at the university, I was in the bus sitting near a bunch of guys who were criticizing islaam, saying "but me I don't care about doing 5 prayers a day" but they didn't know what they were talking about.

ALLAAH will judge all your actions by your intentions. I have the perfect knowledge of the law to tell you what is the best thing to do. All my fore fathers were all great scholars of islaam (44 generations up to the prophet(S+). They have taught more people( including of the greatest scholars, kings and emperors) about the qur'aan and islaam than any family in the history of the world. Everything is historically recorded. Have no fear! Serve ALLAAH as best and as beautiful as you can inshaa ALLAAH.

When my great grandfather the great shaykh of knowledge Abu Bakr Effendi al-Qurashiy al-Amjadiy left the capital city of the islamic government in Istanbul in 1862 - he was a gift to Queen Victoria - to reintroduce islaam again in Southern Africa- he reintroduced the Muslim women to wear hijab. If you can wear hijaab wear it. If it is difficult for you, hide it in your bag or wherever it is easy for you to reach. When the occasion arises for you to put it back on put it back on. May ALLAAH guide all to his right road and make it easy for them inshaa ALLAAH.

Did the staring and mocking occur in the mosque, as you said you were in the mosque when a little boy said "Norway hehe"?
I know from my husband's experience, he is a Swedish Muslim, that often the Muslim people are the ones who stare at you and make you feel uncomfortable. They are not willing to accept suggestions from non Muslims, o new Muslims. My step daughter who is half Swedish, was bullied, in a Muslim school that she attended as a child. Today she is far away from Islam, so please do not be put off by some racist ignorant people.

The word hijab that occurs in Quran does not refer to head-cover but barrier.

In Sura An-Nur 24 Ayah 31, it does not command women to cover their hair. The word khumur in the verse is mistranslated into veils/head-coverings. Khimar (singular of khumur) is anything that covers something such as the table cloths that cover the table. Don't listen to al-amiyr, he is traditional/sunni Muslim. If you are a Quran-alone muslim, you should not considered hijab to be compulsory. But if you want to wear, just wear it. If you don't want to wear, don't wear.

I am an ex-Sunni. When I was 14, I was really scared. I didn't consider God to be merciful. I used to believe that God would punish people whomever He wanted. I wore the hijab even though I didn't like it. I didn't understand why God The Merciful would punish people just for not covering hair.

I shivered when I browsed and found ridiculous hadiths. I monologued "Is this a true religion?". Thank God, there was someone who told me "Hadiths were written centuries after Muhammad. If there are hadiths that go against Quran, they are not trustworthy". He is actually a Sectarian Muslim but just picks and chooses hadiths whichever sound good.

Thank God, I have found the truth. The pure islam is the creed of Abraham, a true monotheism. Muhammad didn't follow a new religion. Muhammad followed the creed of Abraham. We are only commanded by God to take Quran alone as source of religious legislation.

If you consider head-covering to be compulsory, you are no different than the Sunnis, the Shi'a 'Muslims'.

Aaleyah, it seems like you ignore links that have been given by Brother Wakas. Fine, if you want to follow al-amiyr's path. He is a traditional/sectarian Muslim who loves hadiths. I am not saying that it is wrong to wear the hijab but if you consider it to be compulsory, don't dare call yourself a Qur'an-alone muslim. Have you ever read Wakas' links?
To be honest it seems like you totally ignore links that people, such as Wakas have given you. I feel upset.

If you consider women who don't wear head-coverings would be burnt in hell, you are no different than the Sunnis/Ahlul Sunnahs the Shiahs/Shi'ites.
I do wear head-covering sometimes---When I'm forced by my parents, at school , at mosque and the places that are considered to be religious/holy places in 'Islam'.

This dwelling on the clothing of women as if it was a thing different from anybody else's clothing and a consecrated part of religion for women and apart from everything else and very important is obssessive and sick.

THE QUR'AN DOES NOT DO THAT.

Muslims, in whichever sense we take the word, will never get anywhere as long as they put women's clothing as a source of anything or a meaning special aside form everything else. Clothing of women is of no more consequence than clothing of men. and what 24.31 says is not about clothing but about an attitude and it is for the sole benefit of women as human beings and not for the benefit of any purported "modesty". By the way a very convenient word "modesty" becuse of its ambivalence you can switch from meaning something to do with decency, sexual decency, to mean humbleness. Very convenient to manipulate women and their feeling of guilt.

Here is what I wrote in a thread, -another one of the many hundreds-, on hijab and that crap. The hijab question is no question at all it is crap.

"It says "yubdina", that is to show, to exhibit, to make obvious. It means that one does not make a show of it, does not make and end of making anything obvious. One thing is that whatever is seen and another thing is that it is shown, displayed, exhibited, paraded. You may wear a silk scarve on your neck, it is seen, but it is not necessarily shown. If you show it, you draw atention to it, you wnt that people detain their look on it observe it, tke notice of it. So it is about not making a show of themselves, not that if a leg is seen it is a sin, or something like that it is to make a show of the legs or of the hair or of whatever, of the breasts even if they are covered, one can make a show of anything even if it is covered. Women are being advised against vanity, which as happens with hips, breasts,etc. in women it is very much encouraged to make it a valuable asset. Women are made to rely a lot on their looks parfticularly the most "feminine" parts of them. That is the whole point. The Qur'an wants women to keep from basing their value on looks nd warns clearly about it."

The Qur'an here is not preseving women from indecency but from vanity, from letting themselves be cornered into basing their value, their social value on looks, on being attractive. It does not tell them to clothe this or that part, save for the breasts, but to not exhibit themselves and become a walking shopwindow of themselves for their own sense of self value. For temptations, the Qur'an hs the same recipe for males and females Guard yor privagte parts and lower the gaze. There no different recipe for the sexes, and this is born out very well in Yusuf's story, where a male tempts very much the females to the point of making them harass him sexually, but he keeps his virtue. In spite of that, that the only illustration that the Qur'an gives of sexual temptation is that of man, still women are pounded upon with their looks as something that affects males. Enough is enough. Women should avoid vanity for their own valuable sake, not for any nonsense that obssessed people may invent. Hijab is not in the Qur'an in any form or shape. It is fraudulent to push in.

It is the same tactic followed to condone salvery or the sexual femle slaves for the men's "needs". Not to be tempted by women hair, walk or existence seems to be another product of those men "needs" that seem to be the source olf law for many muslims. May for the power thirsty or the obssessed, who may be the same ones, but they hid their power trip behind a purported sexual obssession.

What surprises me is that many women still seem to be under the spell of this fraud.
