- Any one can tell me the explanation of below mentioned quran verses 341, 3 42 & 343.
341 He said ?My Lord, make for me a sign.? He said ?Your sign is
not to speak to the people for three days except by symbol, and
remember your Lord greatly, and glorify at dusk and dawn.?342 And the angels said ?O Mary, God has selected you and cleansed
you, and He has selected you over all the women of the worlds.?343 ?O Mary, be dutiful to your Lord and prostrate and kneel with
those who kneel.?a) As far i understood from this verses that the mariam was taught by God how to pray if not please explain.
b) In 341 "it is mentioned that remember your lord greatly and glorify" (My understanding is to say the GODS 99 names mindfully) is it correct -

a) are you using the word "salat" for "pray"? If so, this word is not mentioned in these verses. It may or may not be referring to that.
b) It does not specify the remembrance/glorification.

For the the first verse, my understanding would be to do what is said in the verse. If you do not talk to people for a few days and glorify God constantly, the reality of his existence and signs will readily become clear to you, all around you. You will notice things you never have before and gain new wisdom about reality and God. God has a relationship with an individual, it's never you and people around you or a society. If an individual has a desire to be close to the Lord, he will do what God suggests and be rewarded with the signs He seeks if he prays for them. Try it out yourself - speak to and glorify the Lord in earnest and I am sure the meaning of the verse and more will clear up within you. Also, don't let yourself be influenced by others in your faith. Faith is a very private thing - you are only going to be judged as an individual, not a family unit or cultural entity. Therefore, if you want signs of God, you truly need to perceive them yourself rather than hear about them from others. It is the best way to believe. This verse, in my understanding, is a guidance to finding signs to increase one's faith.
As for the next verse, I think it's fairly straightforward in that the angels are telling Mary that God has given her favor above all others. Believers should appreciate what they have been given. The last one is even more straightforward. Somewhere in the Quran (the 2nd Surah) it is said that there is no need to question every verse from the Book, that many are lead astray by just pondering on minor details. Please take heed.Peace.
