Why didn't you quote 3350 in its entirety...then there would not have been a need to ask the question.

    Peace Israfeel,

The entire verse concerns only the prophet.

      Peace brother.

General Rule as to Justice in Polygamy - No Justice

And you will never be able to be equal between wives <- No Justice. It is against Islam.
      even if you should strive

      General Rule - One Wife

      O Prophet, indeed
We have made lawful <-- vs. unlawful (zina - (1732) (243))
to you your wives <-- more than one, doesn't matter Prophet had 2, 3, 4, .. 11 or 100 wives..
what matter is more than one, i.e. wives (plural)

      (1) to whom you have given their due compensation <- refer to our situation (nikah)
      (2) and those your right hand possesses from what Allah has returned to you
      (3) and the daughters of your paternal uncles
      (4) and the daughters of your paternal aunts
      (5) and the daughters of your maternal uncles
      (6) and the daughters of your maternal aunts who emigrated with you
      (7) and a believing woman if she gives herself to the Prophet
if the Prophet wishes to marry her

only for you, excluding the believers. <- General Rule, one wife.

We certainly know what We have made obligatory
      upon them concerning their wives
and those their right hands possess
in order that there will be upon you no discomfort
And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

      Exception

And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls <- Condition for Exception
then marry those that please you of women <- Exception
      two
      or three
      or four
But if you fear that you will not be just <- No Exception, even for the benefit of an orphan
then one <- Reinstatement of General Rule in Sura (3350)
or those your right hand possesses
That is more suitable that you may not incline .

        Peace Israfeel,

Not true. Allah has addressed the entire Quran to the Prophet (peace be upon him), does it mean the Quran is guidance only for the Prophet peace be upon him?

You have a very narrow and weak understanding of the Pure Quran.

          Salamun alaikum,

Not exception but command. For exceptions command verbs are not used. For advice, mood of verb is jussive; for discretion mood of verb is subjunctive.

Polygamy as a Custom of having many spouses for pleasure is not allowed in the Grand Qur'aan

The Pure Quran talks about having multiple wives (polygamy) as being normal

Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives (2187)

But do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques (2187)

Your wives are as a tilth unto you (2223)

For those who take an oath for abstention from their wives, a waiting for four months is ordained (2226)

In what your wives leave, your share is a half (412)

And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes (2574)

**Why would Islam discourage polygamy when Muslims are taught by the Quran to pray for wives (plural)??

Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body nor has He made your wives whom ye divorce by Zihar your mothers (334)

Enter ye the Garden, ye and your wives, in (beauty and) rejoicing. (4370)

Erroneous way of reading texts. The pronoun for men is plural whereby the following word "wives" is plural. It denotes respective wife--respective wives if a man has married others to fulfill the obligation imposed upon him.

The word 'man' (Rajul) is singular in this Ayah. That destroys your argument.

Very gooooooooood at twisting God's words to fulfil your sex-maniac desires.

The verses that you showed were not this verse.
You lost your argument against Mazhar then you bring another verse that uses singular noun to support and suit your evil sexist mysogynist unjust desires. LOL

I've reported this post to the mods for being a personal attack. Hopefully they will ban this person.

Also like to make clear that the verse I quoted 334 is talking about man (Rajul) in the singular.

Looks like Hadith-rejectors when they can't answer with arguments resort to personal attacks. How sad.

This is a very bad thing to say. I do not think that you realize or have realized the implications of what you have said. I think that you should immediately apologize to brother Israfeel. Do not generalize nor personalize! Continue your arguments constructively!

                          Salamun alaikum,

Try to find out what is a "legal exception/exemption".

                          General Rule Exception
Forbidden to eat -> Can eat flesh of swine
                          flesh of swine (Emergency)
                          (2173) (2173)

                          Cannot kill -> Can kill
                          a person (War)
                          (22.39)

                          One wife -> Multiple wives
                          (3350) (orphans)
                          (43)

                          and so on..

If fear of unjust to wives, Allah command for one wife, i.e. the reinstatement of the general rule in (3350), and even in the situation for the benefit of an orphan. One wife.

                          Peace brother.

                            Salaam Israfeel,

I didn't say that you were wrong about the verse 334.

But you used the verse to say that the verses (that contain the word women) you showed to Mazhar also talked to singular man.

The Pure Quran talks about having multiple wives (polygamy) as being normal

Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives (2187)

You gave the verses that talked about WIVES. Then Mazhar responded to you that the verses talking about WIVES also used the plural PRONOUN (see what pronoun is, i.e. I, You, He, She, It, They, We) of man.

Then you responded to Mazhar only by using the verse 334 that uses singular NOUN of man to prove that a man is normal for having multiple wives.

You hope that I would be banned?
Why don't you yourself read your own posts that may make people hate Islam?
Because of people like you, Ali Sina and his buddies keep laughing at Islam.

You want me to get banned?
This forum is dedicated to God and study His scripture. This forum is a Qur'an-alone forum.
You are angry with my words now?

Why don't you re-read Mahar's response to your posts of verses that you higlighted in red the word wives?

Instead of wishing me to get banned, why don't you yourself read your posts that ridicule your own religion Islam and the Qur'an?
                            You breach rule no 2.
I also have the right to report your posts that ridicule the Qur'an.

I apologize for the 'insults' but why don't you yourself understand why I used the words? But it is true that you try your best to twist God's words to suit polygamy-without-exception?

Anyway I was saying about your desires. Not yourself! Why are you even angry when I said such things? Why don't you look at countries like Afghanistan (some parts), Yemen, Mali, Saudi Arabia where women are treated like garbage because of male-dominated ideology?

                            Regards,
                            Yuliana

Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body nor has He made your wives whom yedivorce by Zihar your mothers (334)
Anyway, the phrase "Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body" has pwned and disproved your view on polygamy(polygamy-without-exception).

                                salaam Yuliana

This is a very bad thing to say. I do not think that you realize or have realized the implications of what you have said. I think that you should immediately apologize to brother Israfeel. Do not generalize nor personalize! Continue your arguments constructively!

                                  Peace.

And DO NOT APPROACH unlawful sexual intercourse
Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way.
                                  (<a href="http//quran.com/17/32">1732</a&gt

"Do not approach" adultery means deeper than the words "Do not commit" adultery. "Do not approach" means do not approach whatever that can leads to adultery. The difference between lawful and unlawful sexual intercourse is marriage; ie. lawful or unlawful marriage.

Therefore this will bring us to a new question, what is unlawful marriage according to the Qur'an?

Sura (3350) describes what is unlawful to the Believers; ie. unlawful marriage.

                                  (3350) = Unlawful marriage
                                  = Unlawful sexual intercourse
                                  = Adultery
                                  = "DO NOT APPROACH"

It has nothing to do with any view I support. I even support some of your views. I was referring to the personal name calling. Do you disagree with what I said in the previous post?

Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body nor has He made your wives whom ye divorce by Zihar your mothers (334)

Two sentences are independent clauses; these are compounded by a conjunction waw. Independent since the verb is repeated.

The first sentence needs a careful parsing. "Two hearts" is not there; instead it is a prepositional phrase with Min "something emanating from two hearts" and then is adjectival description for the dual noun by a prepositional phrase coupled with possessive phrase. The object of verb is elided.

The discourse is about not accepting the word of the Non-Believers and Muna'fi'qeen Imposter believers.

Now one has to research as to what is the relationship of uttering a word-expression with the heart and chest.

When next wives are mentioned the pronoun for men is again plural.
