    When the Quran states...

It has been sent down to you in the Book that when you hear Allah?s Signs being rejected and mocked at by people, you must not sit with them till they start talking of other things. If you do you are just the same as them. Allah will gather all the hypocrites and unbelievers into Hell. (Surat an-Nisa?, 140)

You who believe! Do not take as allies any of those given the Book before you or the unbelievers who make a mockery and a game out of your believe. Fear Allah if you are believers. (Surat al-Ma?ida, 57)

... lest anyone should say, ?Alas for me for neglecting what Allah was due, and being one of the scoffers!? (Surat az-Zumar, 56)

When he does learn something of Our Signs, he makes a mockery of them. Such people will have a humiliating punishment. (Surat al-Jathiyya, 9)

My question is, what is this type of mockery Allah is mentioning? Can this even branch to the type of mockery we witness on stand up comedy? Even though people are joking, and know it is for the sake of fun, is this type of playing/teasing/doing impressions of others still forbidden?

      When the Quran states...

.. when you hear Allah?s Signs being rejected and mocked at by people,

      peace,

example when a person say "i believed in God, He cured me from diabetes" or "the doctors wash off their hands, 'not possible for normal delivery' - "thanks God, it was normal delivery in my home" or " i was in a terrible financial situation, i had no other go, i turned to my God, things changed unbelievable in front of me, i am out of my debt" etc.,

the first thing we should not mock at them. they are signs of Allah which we normally mock or overlook out of our pride of our knowledge that says it is impossible for God to do this kind of things. the least we can do is, ask God in our heart to reveal whether it is true and give us clear signs to understand kinda.

leave me i am talking to u from a remote place. but be watchful when a person says to you direct in front of you. you can see by yourself whether this man is telling the truth or lying. your heart will tell you right or wrong, but do not mock.

      peace

Before looking into the the types of mockery, let us see what is mock, mocking, mockery...

To mock is to ridicule, jeer at, sneer at, deride, scorn, make fun of, laugh at, scoff at, tease, taunt, informal josh, rag on, and so on. Hence there cannot be any type of mockery that Allah allows us to derail one's Peace -Salam, which doesn't befit a believer to become a Muslim- The Way to Islam(Salam)

A human with self respect and dignity would try not mocking at self or others,

        3948
And the sinful works they had earned will be shown to them, and they will be surrounded by that which they used to mock.

        982
Let them laugh a little, and cry a lot, a recompense for what they have earned.
