What does the phrase "God did not make any man with to hearts in his body" really mean?
God did not make any man with two hearts in his body. Nor did He make your wives whom you make estranged to be your mothers. Nor did He make your adopted children to be your sons. Such is what you claim with your mouths, but God speaks the truth, and He guides to the path. 334

Please note that the word - at the end of words that have it is a male PLURAL possessive pronoun.
That's why the possessed nouns have also to be plural right?

It seems to me like the phrase says a man should only have one wife. ??? (Oh well I know abouf verse 43, it is an exception because it is only in the case of orphan. However, even in verse 43, God still says that ONE is the best /better)peace

Allah the Exalted has not declared permissible for a man to make diametrically contradictory statements as if emanating from two hearts within his interior.
Neither Allah the Exalted has declared your such respective wives as your respective mothers those whom you at your own declare ineligible as if they are your mothers.Nor Allah the Exalted has declared your so called adopted sons as your sons.
This is oral utterance of you people merely with your mouths void of reality.
Learn; Allah the Exalted expresses only the infallible fact;
And He the Exalted guides to the aright Path. -

Maybe the statement belongs to the previous paragraph; ie. from the structure,
(first subject) "AND sufficient is Allah as" ..(the statement)..
(second subject) "AND".... He has not made your wives....O Prophet, fear Allah and do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
And follow that which is revealed to you from your Lord. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.
And rely upon Allah ;
and sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs. Allah has not made for a man two hearts in his interior.
And He has not made your wives whom you declare unlawful your mothers.
And he has not made your adopted sons your sons. That is your saying by your mouths, but Allah says the truth,
and He guides to the (right) way.

It means a PARADOX, i.e. a CONTRADICTORY statement. At the time the culture of JAAHILLIAH was full of man-made paradoxes. In 334 two clear examples are shown. One is that when a man for unjustifiable reasons was trying to get rid of his wife, would say to her, that his feelings towards her is like his feelings towards his own mother, so this would had made his wife unlawful to him. The other one is that they falsely used to believe that adopted sons are like their real offspring, so in cases of divorce or death the adopted son's wife is forbidden to marry the adopter father in-law. 334 puts an end to these two false beliefs.

Maybe kgwithnob's answer is the best.I asked this because......... to be honest even before Israfeel showed this verse and the phrase that I am asking now , I had already had the will to ask about this phrase in verse 334.

These are three sentences compounded by conjunction . The verb is repeated in all the three sentences and it is a doubly transitive verb. In the later two sentences both the objects of the verb are mentioned.
