I disagree!
To dominate, to lead and to hunt are aspects of the human nature. As survival tools, males and famels are born equipped equally with them. The only difference is that males have different weapons than females

Taj, I can understand your defensive position on this because of the abuse men have done to women. But while we are making our path back to the God, we have to leave all the baggage aside.
Please explain the roles of Testosterone and Estrogen, while BOTH male and female have these hormones, men have more testosterone while women have more estrogen, why is that?
Which gender is physically stronger?
This is not about BETTER, it is about ORDER. On your job, do you consider your boss/supervisor as better than you because of the ORDER?

Both sides have baggage. Men are not superior than women, each have diferent strengths for different purposes.

Yes, but we will deal with that problem seperately. Right now we were talking about order and the statement was made that women are equal to men in the act of hunting. While thre are women who have developed thierselves to be BETTER, they most likely have hurt themselves in another area.

my dictionary says that 'testosterone' comes from Greek 'stereos' = 'vigorous', and 'estrogen' comes from Greek 'gennos' = origin, birth.
Just using Etymology as a start.
Couldn't it be that the usual roles have been taught, insisted, and learnt?

I hate to see that its these religious people with superior/inferior attitude in them. My male friends are like angels, they never say even physically they are stronger than women. If anything, they encourage and help me out a lot. And guess what they aren't relgious or even muslimz. Maybe that's why I stay away from religion. They're all the same. And talk about emotions...oh pahleeeeeeeeeez! shock
But, anyhoo unless i forget my password yet once agian, I'll shall log back in 2005, God willing.

I am very sensitive too to the subject of men dominance, something that has damaged them a lot too, forcing them to remain in that unnatural position, there are so many examples that the whole issue is overwhelming, starting from the 'evil' Eva tempting the 'innocent' Adam, Bible, to the Imam of Fuengirola, a city in Spain, released yesterday from jail where he was after having written a book about women including how to beat them based on the quran (yes, you have read correctly, specific tips on how and where to beat, and explanation of ways to not leave marks...) The time in jail has been changed by the judge for the duty of taking a course on Spanish Constitution,but really we are mixing up different topics here, I don't see any attack on women from the Idolfree's posts, and where has he said that women are inferior???

This is what I hate about women and feminism. Demanding equal rights and what not of that crap.
I am in NO way saying that men are better than women.
I am in NO way saying that women should be the slaves of men.
I am ONLY ACCEPTING the natural order of things.
To put it as simple as I can, there is no possible way that I can be pregnant. As much as I may wish to carry a child for nine months, it is not possible. This is the way nature/GOD has ordained it.

Now I am also defnitely NOT saying that I know the roles for both men and women, but I am merely saying that each s.ex has their specific strengths and weaknesses (in a naturalistic sense) and that these things should be taken into consideration.
E.g.
Based on the laws of evolution and survival of the fittest there is another great, scientific explanation for a man having 4 wives.It has to do with alpha and beta males, maybe people should look this up.
Anyways back to my original point, in trying to determine or explain such things do not forget our natural instincts, do not forget who we are. Many evolutionary concepts link exteremly well with Quranic concepts.

Do excuse me but I have a habit of being dead blunt.
I hate (yes hate) the feminism movement. Because men have never been more confused about their roles. Men have become helpless and in need of dire assistance.
Why is this?
Because as mentioned our natural instincts of leading the pack, of hunting, of being a dominant male have been curbed by society's conduct of equal rights for females.
I'm definitely not saying bring back a world of beating women, etc, but what I am saying is that men have to re-capture parts of their natural essence.
For the past two years I have been studying the dating game, I have been forced to study the dating game. Why???????
Because with the way society is set out, men are brought up with no clue of what to do.
Had some of our natural essence been allowed to thrive men would not have half the problems they have today, and as a consequence I strongly believe that rape, drink doping would drastically reduce in numbers.
Tell me why is it that no woman goes to the zoo and complains to the zookeeper about one male lion having many female lions at his disposal????????????
Dead, blunt, and simple, we (humans) have to learn to accept some of our natural tendencies.
And NO some of those natural tendencies are not compatible to both s.exes.

lol Well, the truth is that is what we are trying to do, gain control. Unfortunately the sister does not understand what I am saying because she is ANGRY at the position women have been put in after years of oppression. But ANGER, nor ANY EMOTION except PEACE can bring us the answer.
All of this SCIENCE is very old, the Egyptains followed it, the Greeks, the Jews and thier Kabala system, the Hindus, the Chinese philosphy and much of this is shown through movies like Star Wars, Matrix, I robot, A beautiful Mind, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, etc.
This reading(quran) is teaching us the same thing, but we have to be at peace so we can understand.
All I am trying to show is the NATURAL ORDER of things. In ancinte Egypt, this was understood, but had sister Dell allowed me to finish, the women were QUEENS! It was the western nations that came in and did not like thier women getting so much power, so they OVERCOMPENSATED when trying to opress them. It is there in recorded history, or we can see the signs in todays reality.

I am for the UPLIFTMENT of the woman, she is the KEY. But it starts at proper understanding of our different natures. Once that is understood then MEN would see the LOGIC of uplifting the WOman, not putting her down. But you did not even let me get to that. You took the symbolisms I gave and made them physical. Thats just it, these STRENGTHS and WEAKNESSES direct us to the ROLES! It is very simple once people can settle the emotions. You see, emotions are responses. The Human mind can reprogram its responses, this is the powerful truth that we must learn to get to PEACE.
