Salat According to the Quran and a Critical Remark
-
I am deeply saddened by the plight of the Muslims here, the Quran lays general rules and it is open to interpretation and refinement through explanations provided by the Holy Messenger (sawa), i am sure you are not that naive to assume that people did not go back to the Prophet (sawa) for clarification on Quranic verses which were unclear to them.
Can you please provide for us NABI MUHAMMAD'S FULL AND COMPREHENSIVE EXPLANATION OF THE QURAN?
Where is such an explanation? Is it to be found in the contradictory books of tradition and "tafseer" that the Shias and Sunnis resort to?
Go now and visit any Islamic library, and you will found 100 different tafseers of the Quran. You will find, among others
Tafseer Ibn Katheer
Tafseer Qurtubi
Tafseer Jalalayn
Tafseer al-Razi
Tafseer al-Tabtabaiy
Tafseer Sayyed Qutb
Tafseer al-Shirazi
Tafseer al-Tabari
Tafseer Ibn Mas3oudAnd the list goes on and on. What is the purpose of all these "tafseer" references, as you call them? And why do they all contradict each other? If Muhammad (P) did indeed explain the Quran, as you are claiming, then what is the need for all these others? Should they not all be discarded to the garbage can?
Failure to produce the so-called TAFSEER Al-NABI MUHAMMAD is a testament to the falsehood uttered by the sectarians, who have resorted to references penned down by men, centuries after Muhammad's day and age, transmitted through word-of-mouth hearsay that no sane mind can accept. Your so-called "science of hadeeth" is a farce, and an insult to human intelligence.
The same people you were talking about also compiled the Quran.
They did no such thing. All they did was make commentaries on it and place the dialectic marks over its silent letters.
i am sure you are not that naive to assume that people did not go back to the Prophet (sawa) for clarification on Quranic verses which were unclear to them.
They didn't need to, because the Quran was revealed in their own tongue; and not in some foreign, alien language that needed a translator. As for the symbolic and metaphoric signs in the Quran, the Quran ITSELF tells us that we should ponder over their meanings, and reflect, and that not all people are equal in intellect. And this command to ponder and reflect is as much valid today as it was during the era of the Quran's revelation (which I am beginning to seriously doubt was the 7th Century to begin with). The claim that Muhammad gave the final and full interpretation of the Quran defeats the purpose of Allah's commands.
Regards.

Salaam,
No. I do not believe that the Quran was Muhammad's own words. He delivered a Message and was a delivery boy, even though a special kind.
Muhammad wrote Quran's passages, but it is narration from God.
What Muhammad was instructed to say was explicitly told in Quran and he did not just say anything. God helped Muhammad how he could reach the contemporary people.
Quran remains as a good testament still as of today and can be used for help on how to be as a human being.
God bless you

Salam, Alkitab,
Pl refer your preceding post.
I hope you remember wherefrom you had picked up the sentence and explained about it.
I raised the querry in this regard
Leave it aside.
You may enlighten me about its formation. What I see seems Waw of Root is retained, its vowel is omitted; dagger alif is placed on sakin waw, and then Ta marboota is added perhaps to indicate that waw and not Ya is the original consonant of the root. Can you please help by elaborating the rules for in respect of nouns of Roots with last radical Waw?
Salam Mazhar ,
We will be discussing this further incha allah with brother al-amiyr .

So you recognize the person who delivered the Qur'aan. My post you responded above was for this comment of you
Whether Muhammad existed or not is irrelevant or whatever salat this ancient person did. We live in the 21st century and it is a new community and not Muhammad's. The prophet of Quran had his job and we have ours. He delivered the Quran and that was his service and he was probably rewarded for that.

Salaam,
Well. It is because otherwise some people here shovel the question if Muhammad existed or not at me and it was irrelevant to my commentary.
God bless you

Being in Arabic alone is NOT sufficient, you must understand the context and purpose of a particular verse. Quran has apparent and hidden meanings, now if you dispute hidden meaning, Aleef Laam Meem, what is the meaning of that word?
Even at the apparent level, it is not possible for people during the time of the Prophet (sawa) to have completely understood its meaning and significance. I am shocked at the hight of ignorance, how can you deny the fact that people went to the Prophet (sawa) to seek clarification. People have different levels of understanding. Many were illiterate during that time and may not understand the Quranic verses.
As for the issue of the existence of conflicting tafseer, this is largely due to the political upheaval that the Muslims faced, infighting and bloodshed was at its height and thanks to the Ummayad tyrants, they murdered many people of knowledge and prevented people from approaching the Ahlul Bayt. All these contributed towards the apparent division amongst Muslims.
Even amongst Quranists there is a difference of interpretation, so humans are not robots and this is a fact well acknowledged by the Prophet (sawa) while keeping in mind that he wanted to maintain uniformity in certain key aspects of the religion.

Are you Muslim? If a person claiming to follow the Quran and has no love or connecting to the Holy Messenger (sawa) then he is not from his community.
You are cut off from his community. May Allah curse those who bear grudges against his best creation Muhammad Al-Mustafa (sawa)

All those who narrated ahadith were fabrication but they choose to ensure the integrity of the Quran, dude who are you fooling? rotfl

Salaam Sword,
I believe in God, eternal existence and I struggle hard to be a good person. He decides who is Muslim or not, you may be amazed who was a good Muslim on the Judgment Day.
It is your misconception about "loving" the prophets. I respect the man for the job he did and I confirm him as a Messenger and Prophet. I believe in Quran and thus I accept his Messengership. More than that I have Quran and God's real-time guidance to rely on. Muhammad is dead and cannot himself say what is a lie or not so we have to use our intelligence.
I would rather be called astray than follow your idolatrous deen. So go on and say whatever you like. I will hopefully never succumb to your attempts at luring me to idolatry.
God bless you

Best creation? That sounds very idolatrous!
God bless you

Integrity? By making the Qur'an look like a book hate?

I see hesitation in your "respect". I wish to emphasize the love for the Holy Messenger (sawa) and His Family is the root and foundation of this religion.
Perhaps you are less acquainted with historical events. The bloodshed in Karbala was the direct result of the so-called piety and righteousness in putting the Quran ahead of The Messenger and His Ahlul Bayt who were the friends of Allah. According to the Uthmanis (Proto-Sunnis) that everyone must abide by the Quran that the Ulil 'Amr must be obeyed as mentioned in the Quran therefore anyone opposing this can be murdered.
That day, the blessed head of Imam Al-Husayn (as) was severed, the women of the Family of the Prophet (sawa) were humiliated, his children and cousins were all murdered except few that survived to tell the tale. Syeda Zainab (as) lamented O Prophet (sawa), see what your community has done to us, they brought us in shackles!
When the head of Imam Al-Husayn (as) was severed they chanted Allahu Akbar! Then more bloodshed came..

Salaam,
Wrong. The love of God is the foundation of this religion.
Also more wrong, the Sunni and Shia were fighting was over power and dominion, as man has done for all ages and not over following the Quran alone or not. If they followed the Quran as it is taught there would never have been so crude treatment of Hussein and his family. The Quran teaches how to be a righteous person and that very well too.
I have studied this problem a bit and I suspect that the first followers of the prophet were righteous men although I am not sure about it after the massacre at Karbala.
Ali and company's adversaries tried to pervert the religion in various ways, but how we do not know except rumors. I have heard that they tried to change the Quran and that the original transcript was burned.
The enemies of God got in motion as soon as Muhammad died and forgot everything that the revelation had taught about behavior and good deeds. All transformed into a fight for power instead of being humble.
As much as I know Ali accepted (unwillingly or willingly I do not know) that he did not become the first caliph. If historical documents are right and not seriously biased I do not know though.
The Sunni side with these guys had nothing to do with religion. They were just after power and were enemies of God. Ruling the early "ummah" probably meant much wealth and fame.
You need to remember that the majority of people are not believers. This means most people, even Uthman, Omar or other people back then were likely victims to greed and arrogance. I am not ruling out descendants of the prophet too. Bloodline has nothing to do with being righteous or not. When Ibrahim asked if God's covenant would cover his offspring God replied that His covenant does not cover the unrighteous. It is easy to conclude that it means bloodline has nothing to do with righteousness although the knowledge that may be transferred from father to son may give him an advantage, but it then depends on this individual.
All of Jacob's sons were not righteous, despite being his offspring.
In conclusion; the following conflict after Muhammad's demise was only due to the shortcomings of man, greed and selfishness. You had what you needed from the Quran that just had been finished. But very few people followed the Message from God and it remains the same today. Very few follow the Message without extra-religious teachings or assigning partners with God, as you do according to your last post were you said the foundation of Islam is to love the prophet and family.
God bless you

You believe in all of this because this is what you have been taught by the professional shia priests since childhood. They are no different from the professional sunni priests. You need to objectively study the religion you have inherited from your parents instead of following it blindly.
The major difference between those who believe in ONLY the Quran and the shias and sunni crowd is that they consider God to be their teacher. They study the Deen and form their own understanding from the Quran only perspective.
Your belief system is hypocritical and makes no sense. You lament the death of Husayn and shed blood every year during Muharram to remember that event. However, the same humiliation was suffered by Isa when he was allegedly put on the cross by the jews/romans. I have never seen him mentioned in the emotionally charged sermons the shia priests give during the month of Muharram. Was prophet Isa any less than Husayn?

It's not just a major difference. Religion and the Deen (in arabic) of Allah (in arabic) are two fundamentally different things. They are not different versions or styles of faith. The are two totally different approaches to life, reason and Allah. They are two totally different ways of using your mind, leading to opposite directions. The more deep you get into elaborate religion, the further away from real life and the natural system of Allah you get. Religion encourages blind faith in historic and fantastic fairy tales, with no regard for logic, reason and sense.

Was prophet Isa any less than Husayn?
Isa (as) was a great martyr, we have lots of respect for him. However he was only one single person crucified.
Imam Husayn (as) was not alone in Karbala, his whole family was mercilessly slaughtered! His head was severed, his ribs were crushed! The problem lied in the interpretation of ulil amr minkum. If you interpret it independently it means to obey any person in power.
I have emphasized this many times over, you have to study political history. You have rightly pointed it our that the Ummavis or Uthmanis were manipulating the Quran. Amongst those accused were Marwan bin Hakam (May Allah curse him), Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad (May Allah curse him), Hujjaj Al-Thaqafi (May Allah curse him) and Abdul Malik bin Marwan (May Allah curse him), allow me to quote to you
Marwan ibn al-Hakam had these burnt since the copies of Qur'an ordered by Sayyidna 'Uthman (radhiAllaho anhu) were ready at that time, and a consensus of the ummah had already been reached to the effect that following these copies of the Qur'an, in script and arrangement of Surahs, was obligatory. Marwan ibn al-Hakam thought it inadvisable to let any copy which was contrary to this script and arrangement remain in existence (Fath al-Bari, 9/16)
Those were explanations given, if the problem was only arrangement I am sure the Quran will not be burnt. Burning a book is a crime what more burning a Quran.
