547 And let the people of the Gospel judge with what GOD has sent down in it. And whoever does not judge with what GOD has sent down, then these are the wicked.
6114 "Shall I seek other than GOD as a judge when He has sent down to you the Book fully detailed?" Those to whom We have given the Book know it is sent down from your Lord with the truth; so do not be of those who have doubt.
6116 And if you obey most of those on the earth they will lead you away from the path of GOD; that is because they follow conjecture, and that is because they only guess.
7185 Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that GOD has created? Perhaps their time is drawing near; so in which narrative after this one will they believe?
1689 And the Day We send to every nation a witness against them from themselves, and We have brought you as a witness against these. And We have sent down to you the Book as a clarification for all things, and a guidance and a mercy and good tidings to those who have submitted.
1736 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and heart, all these you are responsible for.
2530 And the messenger said "My Lord, my people have deserted this Qur'an."
2951 Is it not enough for them that We have sent down to you the Book that is being recited to them? In that is a mercy and a reminder for people who believe.
3923 GOD has sent down the best narrative , a Book that is similar, dual. The skins of those who are concerned towards their Lord shiver from it, then their skins and their hearts soften up to the remembrance of GOD. Such is the guidance of GOD; He guides with it whoever He wills. And for whoever GOD misguides, then none can guide him.
6836 What is wrong with you, how do you judge?
6837 Or do you have a book which you study?
6838 In it, you can find what you wish?May ALLAH see fit to Guide all seekers.

I'm still not sure whether to give up hadith entirely... but then I keep asking myself, if Umar and Abu Bakr are still alive today, wouldn't they burn the hadith books or prohibit the sayings? as stated in the hadiths...

Disregarding the apocryphal narrations would be the most wise, and intellectually honest choice to make (456). Put your trust in G?D (alone), and adhere to His Guidance the most closely and accurately you can. ALLH gave us brains to think, and a Book to learn from. Peace be unto you ^_^

Even hadith is not fabricated, we forbidden take somthings beside Quran for our guidance (7750, 456). -
All right. I can't take it anymore... after two days of reading various materials and debating within myself...
There is no god but GOD ALONE.
I am 19 years old and for the past 5 years, I've been Sunni but then I had a lot of doubts in the past one year (esp. on reconciling my scientific and political views with Sunni Islam) ... I think this is not a coincident.

I am glad that you have discovered the straight path. People have a tendency to turn their religion extreme in different ways. It can be many ways I think, even in the Quran alone belief to be honest. I think we tend to forget the most important part of Quran just to follow what we believe is right, ie we forget to be good people doing righteous deeds and behaving well. God's religion is not so much about being a professor of what a scripture says but more the behavioral aspect and Quran witnesses about that itself. We seem obsessed with the various parts about Messengers or rituals while the main point in the book is the behavior of a pious Believer.

Just wanted to say that this verse blew my mind. I've overlooked it all these years
?And if they commit evil acts, they say ?We found our
fathers doing such, and God ordered us to it.? Say ?God
does not order evil! Do you say about God what you do
not know??? (Qur?an 72Sunnis condone evil acts perpetrated by hadiths... this verse clearly condemns it. It is as if God is speaking to us directly!!
