      Salaam,

See the following thread which I believe has some relevance to this in regards to the subject of the 'majority'.

          Salaam Mz,

The whole revelation was to the nabi because he achieved the heights. Now we shall learn from him in how to get there via his experience.

For a short period I was wondering from this statement whether the majority of people on this planet could ever be muslims, then figured that the verse still holds true for everyone. As long as they find their way to the majority via the Quran rather than rely on what the majority says, then it works out. It all goes back to the argument of questioning tradition, and using your intellect to figure out your purpose in life, which in this case is outlined in the Quran.

So the Quran is the partner with the God?

What about the others who have faith in the God, faith in the ending time, and lead a righteous life, but do not have the book being called "Quran"?

...really?! So what about the nearly 1.3 billion people that disagree with you, are they wrong and have been for more then a millenium or what!?

Cool verse, it went directly up to the 1st place on my "God's lecture billboard list"! D

                    Peace,

I think there's a great thread Marie posted, "the few vs. the many". God never promises the believers large numbers, He promises victory, success and that His deen will prevail over all other ways of life. It always irks me when I read those brags, "Islam, the fastest growing religion in the world". I guess that's the key, the man-made religion they call islam is growing; pitiable if it's true.

                      Peace,
God never promises the believers large numbers.

Grourself, the ayat below speaks otherwise.

                      016.018
If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
