Peace,
It seems to be be three occasions per day for mandatory prayer-like activity based on Monotheist translation, although I do not swear by God on this (yet), so take Wakas recommendation. I have not complicated the interpretation of Salah, so it merely means communication, communion or whatever word you want to use. It is something I have learned and it is that you should basically use the word's simplest meaning to show the context in its right. I will probably bring it up in my nearness and guidance thread.

FIVE SALAT A DAY AND THEIR TIME
God gave us the times for the Salat in the QuranThe Dawn salat (Fajr in Arabic) given in 11114, 2458
The Noon salat (Zuher in Arabic) , given in 1778 and 3018
The Afternoon salat (Asr in Arabic), given in 2238
The sunset salat (Maghrib in Arabic), given in 11114
The Night salat(Isha in Arabic), given in 2458From the Quran, God tells us to do our salat at specific times, and then He tells us what these times are.
There may have been 2/3 salat before Muhammed, but Qoran confirms 5 salat now.
I also believe GOD is precise and deliberate with His words in Qoran.
GOD IS CLEAR ABOUT THE TIMING
The Contact Prayers must be performed at specific times
Quran 4103. Once you complete your SALAT, you shall remember GOD while standing, sitting, or lying down. Once the war is over, you shall observe the SALAT; the SALAT are decreed for the believers at specific times.
Why 5 times and not 3?
Also ,. Almighty GOD in the Quran points 5 times at the Sacred Masjid as the direction.( 2 times in 2144)
We have seen you turning your face about the sky.
We now assign a Qiblah that is pleasing to you.
Henceforth, you shall turn your face towards the Sacred Masjid.(1)
Wherever you may be, all of you shall turn your faces towards it.(2)
Those who received the previous scripture know that this is the truth from their Lord.
GOD is never unaware of anything they do.
Quran 2144
( Once in 2149)
Wherever you go,
you shall turn your face towards the Sacred Masjid. (3)
This is the truth from your Lord. GOD is never unaware of anything you all do.
Quran 2149
( And 2 times in 2150)
Wherever you go, you shall turn your face towards the Sacred Masjid;(4)
wherever you might be, you shall turn your faces towards it.(5)
Thus, the people will have no argument against you, except the transgressors among them.
Do not fear them, and fear Me instead.
I will then perfect My blessings upon you, that you may be guided.
Quran 2150A total of 5.
That is my understanding. Keep up your study and check as per 1736.
You claim "clear", "precise" etc yet 3 of the salat names you give do not exist in Quran, have asymmetrical and overlapping timings for these no-name salat, and fail to mention in the 2144-150 verses the commands are in a mix of singular and plural.

My advice is
Do not take anyone s recommendation. Check everything yourself. Ask your creator to guide you to the right understanding.
He is the only guide.

Here is my understanding of the verses I quoted
1- You shall observe the salat when the sun declines from its highest point at noon, as it moves towards sunset. You shall also observe (the recitation of) the Quran at dawn. (Reciting) the Quran at dawn is witnessed
All praise is due to Him in the heavens and the earth, throughout the evening, as well as in the middle of your day.
Noon salat
2- You shall consistently observe the salawat especially the middle salat, and devote yourselves totally to God.
(3rd salat, between noon and sunset)
3- You shall observe the salat at both ends of the day, and during the night. The righteous works wipe out the evil works. This is a reminder for those who would take heed.
( Dawn,Sunset and night salat).
5 salat it is for me.
I follow GOD s authority and His messengers only. Confirmed by the study of His words.I do not follow other authorities ,yours or whoever claims otherwise unless they bring " bayinat" from the author of Qoran.Peace to you..

Thanks for your explanation, however you have just repeated the same errors that many others have made in past discussions in this forum. For example, as others also mistakenly do, you include hamd of 3018 to justify your position, however almost certainly you cherry-pick which hamd/praise verses you use etc.
You have made a lot of posts in this forum so I am assuming you are aware of such past discussions. If not, I linked to them in this thread.
If you are aware of them and still have the views you posted here, then I am very surprised, but each to their own. It does not matter to me how many salat a fellow brother does, however what does matter to me is misrepresentation/misinformation about Quran, hence my previous post to you.

Indeed I am aware of the discussions and studied them. They keep going in circles.
Why do you think GOD sends messengers?

Quran 2458
O you who have believed, let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not reached puberty among you ask permission of you at three times before the dawn prayer and when you put aside your clothing at noon and after the night prayer. three times of privacy for you. There is no blame upon you nor upon them beyond these , for they continually circulate among you - some of you, among others. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.
Quran 2238
Maintain with care the prayers and the middle prayer and stand before Allah , devoutly obedient.
Quran 1778
Establish prayer at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night and the Qur'an of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.
Asr -
Quran 11114
And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.
Maghrib
Approach of the night is not the night - neither it is middle of the day nor is it at the decline of the sun.
Quran mentions 3 names and gives 2 additional time for prayer. . . the names Maghrib and Asr are well chosen and in accordance with times.
So what is it that you actually find misleading?

Regarding Salat, my advice is that you must find out for yourself. Ask The Creator to show you, and don't assume what to find.
This journey includes having lots of patience, sabr. Also, don't wait to reach perfection, the final answer and solution. Just go ahead and do what your current understanding tells you... and then be fully open to adjust, change and improve. Never get stuck or locked on any specific dogma.
Remember the purpose of Salat. This is the important thing... not what it looks like. The purpose should guide us, not the external form/shape. Perhaps you'll be able to feel what is good to do. I'm mean, feel what feels GOOD... not what you think you should do, out of fear. Fear doesn't guide.
