We as humans are the most argumentative creatures (Quran 1854); We love to be informative and detailed, however sometimes too much detail is not good for us (Quran 5101)
Some of God Commands are simple, and easy. Plus there is room for variation and convenience. Yet many religious people seem not to like variety; they'd rather have something to do verbatim and imitate.Consider the Commandment to the Children of Israel to sacrifice A Cow in (Quran 267)
Notice the wording, God ordered the Children of Israel to sacrifice A cow.

Who's Cow?The Command was A cow, that would mean Any Cow! Yet, the simple command was seemingly not good enough; They wanted more detail! Their reluctance might be attributed to the fact that they thought Moses was amusing with them in the first place (Quran 267), but the key point here is the fact that the command was simple and easy, yet they wanted more detail, and more information. Thus, what was a seemingly too simple of a command, turned into a meticulous and painstaking one (i.e They made it harder for themselves)
A similar thing happens with today's Traditional Muslims. The Quran has many commands which are easy and simple, and leave room for variation and convenience. After all, God wants ease for us, not hardship (Quran 2185)
Commands such as standing for prayer (Quran 223, giving to charity (Quran 2219), and Washing/Ablution (Quran 56) are easy and allow room for variation and convenience based on each person. Yet, Traditional Muslims love to ask for more detail like How do you stand? Where do you put your arms? How far should we extend our legs? Exactly how much should we give? How many times should we wash our face/arms?
The answer is it doesn't really matter!
These are just superfluous questions that turn a simple command, into a painstaking one. God wants ease for us, so stop making it harder for yourselves. Just "Do what you're commanded to do" (Quran 267), and thank God it's easy enough! (Quran 2185) -

Something are personal - yet others affect the whole society. And there HAS to be consensus on matters. If everyone chose their own way to pray . . . people will not congregate. Laws - for everything . . . governing a society.
Views such as yours are from a singular point of view . . . broaden it and you will see the issues arising.

How many prayers are there? 3 or 5?
Is Alcohol allowed?
Polygamy?
Evolution?
In a large society - these questions matter. As for "Quran-only" - is there such a society/community anywhere?

I understand your point of having some kind of uniformity, yes that is true. Somethings however, do not require so much as a uniform "how to" verbatim (like ablution, giving the extra to charity etc.). That is what I'm talking about .
As for your other mentioned topics, I believe with proper and more in depth research, we will come to a conclusion. Prayers, Polygamy, alcohol, and evolution do have an answer. Godwilling, I will work on making more articles focusing on the aforementioned topics. Right now I am working on easy topics that require less time; I like to work on easy things first and knock-out them out before getting to the more in-depth topics.

Peace.And in those matters you will find that Traditional Islam - isn't that complex after all. For example - Ablution is really simple from the Quran - washing hands, face, wipe of head and feet - done. The basic obligation is finished. Rest of it comes from the Hadith corpus. And the reward sought is for perfecting what one does in fulfilling the commandments of the Almighty and that's it. My other mentioned topics were not exhaustive or meant be anything other than an example.
