I am safe? I dont think that anymore

I posted a post that I was relieved. Since had read on several websites that Allah forgives all sins, even apostasy again and again only if you repent before you die.

On the webside it says

And He says

?Verily, those who believe, then disbelieve, then believe (again), and (again) disbelieve, and go on increasing in disbelief; Allaah will not forgive them, nor guide them on the (right) way?

Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Tafseer al-Qur?aan al-?Azeem (1/753)

Here Allah tells us about the one who enters Islam and then recants, then comes back to it, then recants and persists in his misguidance, and increases in it until he dies there is no repentance after his death and Allah will not forgive him or grant him any way out from what he is in, and there is no way he could be guided. Hence He says ?Allaah will not forgive them, nor guide them on the (right) way.? Ibn Abi Haatim said ? It was narrated that Ibn ?Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said concerning the verse, ?and go on increasing in disbelief? They persist in their disbelief until they die. This was also the view of Mujaahid. End quote.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Majmoo? al-Fataawa (16/28-29)

Concerning these whose repentance will not be accepted, there were several opinions

It was said that it is because of their hypocrisy, or because they repented from sins less grave than shirk but did not repent from shirk, or it was said that their repentance would never be accepted after death. But the majority, such as al-Hasan, Qataadah, ?Ata?, al-Khorasaani and al-Suddi said Their repentance will never be accepted when death comes to them. So this is like the verse in which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning) ?And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says ?Now I repent;? nor of those who die while they are disbelievers? .

And the same applies to the verse in which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning) ?Verily, those who believe, then disbelieve, then believe (again), and (again) disbelieve, and go on increasing in disbelief; Allaah will not forgive them, nor guide them on the (right) way?

Mujaahid and other mufassireen said ?and go on increasing in disbelief? means, they remain steadfast in that until they die.

I say That is because the one who repents is giving up kufr, whereas the one who does not repent is persisting in it and adding kufr to kufr. The words ?and go on increasing in disbelief? are like saying, they persisted in kufr and continued in kufr and remained in kufr. So they became disbelievers after becoming Muslim, then their kufr increased and did not grow less. The repentance of these people will not be accepted, referring to their repentance when they are dying, because the one who repents before death comes has repented soon enough and recanted his kufr, so it did not increase; rather it decreased, unlike the one who persisted in kufr until the time of death. End quote.

There is no difference of opinion among the scholars that if the apostate repents sincerely and comes back to Islam, Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, will accept him and forgive him for what is past, even if he has apostatized repeatedly.

This is with regard to Allah in the Hereafter.

As for the rulings in this world, some of the scholars said that if a person apostatises repeatedly he should be executed and his repentance not accepted. The difference of opinion among the scholars about accepting repentance has to do with rulings in this world only and does not have to do with a person?s standing before Allah in the Hereafter, may He be glorified and exalted.

Ibn Qudaamah said in al-Mughni (12/271)

To sum up, the difference of opinion among the imams concerning the acceptance of their repentance has to do with rulings in this world, not executing them, and affirming that they should be treated as Muslims.

As to whether Allah accepts their repentance and forgives the one who repents and gives up (apostasy) both inwardly and outwardly, there is no difference of opinion concerning that. End quote.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Majmoo? al-Fataawa, 30/16

When the fuqaha? differed concerning the acceptance of the repentance of one who apostatises repeatedly and the acceptance of the repentance of the heretic, that only has to do with the ruling on outward appearances, because the repentance of such people cannot be trusted. But if he is sincere in his heart towards Allah in his repentance then he is included in the words of Allah (interpretation of the meaning) ?Say ?O ?Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allaah, verily, Allaah forgives all sins. Truly, He is OftForgiving, Most Merciful? .

According to the correct scholarly opinion, the repentance of one who has apostatised repeatedly is to be accepted with regard to rulings in this world too, and he comes under the same rulings as any other Muslim. This is the view of the majority of Hanafi and Shaafa?i scholars and is the well-known view among the Maalikis, and is the second of the two views of Ahmad ibn Hanbal.

See Haashiyat Tabyeen al-Haqaa?iq, 3/284; Fath al-Qadeer, 6/68; al-Insaaf, 10/332-335; Tuhfat al-Muhtaaj, 9/69; Kashshaaf al-Qinaa?, 6/177-178; al-Mawsoo?ah al-Fiqhiyyah, 14/127-128. In al-Mabsoot (10/99-100) it is attributed to ?Ali and Ibn ?Umar that they did not accept the repentance of one who had apostatised repeatedly.

Based on that, the repentance of one who had given up prayer is acceptable if he is sincere, even if he repeatedly gave up prayer, but he should beware, because death may come before he is able to repent and Allah may cause his punishment to come in this world before the Hereafter.

We ask Allah to bestow upon us and you His great mercy.

And Allah knows best. "

But im not so I'm not so sure anymore. Because it says ?Verily, those who believe, then disbelieve, then believe (again), and (again) disbelieve, and go on increasing in disbelief; Allaah will not forgive them, nor guide them on the (right) way?
It DONT say you are saved if you belive again before Death in that surah.

I'm doomed to hell? Should I just give up? I am afraid. I'm not so sure anymore

I know I for a while was relieved that the scholars were agreed that it is forgiving before death, but according to the Koran am not really so sure anymore (.

It DONT say you are saved if you belive again before Death in that surah.

Yes, it does! Right after , the Qur'an immediately describes the worst offenders to the rule the hypocrites during Muhammad's time.

Now the hypocrites of Madinah were an opportunistic group. When the Muslims were on top, they'd side with the Muslims, but when the Idolaters gained the upper hand, they'd side with the enemies, and so on and so forth. They believed, then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, again and again, until they died.

So, they were the worst type of people, and the Qur'an says that they'll burn in the lowest level of Hell. BUT, even then, after all of that, they would still be saved if they repented sincerely.

Those who believed, then rejected, then believed, then rejected, then they increased in rejection; God was not to forgive them nor to guide them to the path.

Give news to the hypocrites that they will have a painful retribution.

Those who take the rejecters as allies instead of the believers "Do they seek glory with them?" All glory belongs to God.

And it has been sent down to you in the Book, that if you hear the revelations of God being rejected and mocked, then do not sit with them until they move on to a different narrative; if not, then you are like them. God will gather the hypocrites and the disbelievers in Hell all together.

Those who linger and observe you, if you have a victory from God they say "Were we not with you?" And if the rejecters have success, they say "Did we not side with you and deter the believers from you?" God will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection, and God will not grant the rejecters any success over the believers.

The hypocrites seek to deceive God, while He is deceiving them; and if they stand to make the contact prayer, they do so lazily, only to show the people; they do not remember God except very little.

They are swaying in-between, neither with this group nor with that group. Whoever God will misguide, you will not find for him a way.

O you who believe, do not take the rejecters as allies instead of the believers. Do you want God to have a reason against you?

The hypocrites will be in the lowest pit of the Fire; and you will not find for them a victor.

Except those who repent, and amend, and hold fast to God, and are loyal in their system to God; then these will be with the believers. And God will give the believers a great recompense.

What would God want with your punishment if you were only thankful and believed? God is Thankful, Knowledgeable.

How can God guide a people who have rejected after believing, and they had witnessed that the messenger was true, and the clarity had come to them? God does not guide the wicked people.

To these the punishment will be that the curse of God will be upon them and that of the angels and the people all together!

Abiding therein, the retribution will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.

Except those who repent after this and make amends, then God is Forgiver, Merciful.

Those who have rejected after their belief, then increased in rejection, their repentance will not be accepted, they are the strayers.

Those who have rejected and died while they were rejecters, if the earth full of gold were to be ransomed with it would not be accepted from any of them. For these there will be a painful retribution and they will have no supporters.

Repentance is only for those who commit a sin out of ignorance and then repent soon after; these will be forgiven by God, for God is Knowledgeable, Wise.

And there will be no repentance for those who commit sin then when death comes upon any one of them he says "I repent now!" Nor for those who die while they are rejecters. For those We have prepared a painful retribution.

You'll find repeatedly phrases like "God guides whoever he wills." What this means is that "God guides anyone who wills" or "God guides anyone who wants to be guided." Obviously, people who increase in rejection do not want to be guided, thus God would not guide people who increase in rejection. And obviously, God will guide people who repent/come back to the path.

The Children of Israel worshiped the golden calf, and their repentance was accepted. This is even mentioned in the same surah as

The people of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. They had asked Moses for even more than that, for they said "Show us God openly!" So the lightning strike took them for their wickedness. Then they took the calf after the clarity had come to them, and We pardoned them for this; We gave Moses a clear authority.

If even the Children of Israel and the hypocrites of Madinah could be forgiven, then obviously your sincere repentance would be accepted.

Say "O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of God. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Merciful."
