God and Feelings/Emotions?

it clear in the Quran that the all mighty wants us to stay on the other side of aggression and that it is wrong.to keep that balance is like mathematics ,there is no feelings in it,and yet we can put feelings to it as well.but it runs like mathematics.
as for "Allah" there is so little known about "Allah" the Quran states that he likes yet our own understanding and imagination rules our understanding for when we think of gods actions and we put it in our own mental capacity.
often you find that our feelings are always a result of our experiences ,we shape how we feel my what we experienced in our lives and the out comes.
a feeling towards a child you have raised and then you feel you want to protect ,those feelings as you can see are relative to ones experiences.
Allah is beyond those experiences and is not subject to progressive change in understanding affected by visual stamina.
i would strongly suggest that Allah is beyond feeling when we see feeling as emotion or human interaction.
Allah wills what he wills.his will shall be .
if we can separate our feelings and look at things in proper balance then things shall become clearer to us.
see emotions are not always a good thing.
that separates the Quran from most religions now a days.
the Quran speaks of a balance of what is good and to help others ,that shall keep the balance ,if a human being gives in to greed he would eat his brothers food.the balance is important " al meezan " " al 3adl" .
we still deal with our lives through our emotions ,we are human beings but we have to be free to look as well.
free from our own emotions.
"lukman" says in the Quran . that wisdom is to be thankful to Allah.
i hope that i have answered with some how closer to truth of an answer but i don't claim that all is say i right ,so please think about it and get a clearer conclusion.

As far as GOD is concerned
1-All of us will taste death.
2-Death does not necessarily mean something to feel "sorrow" for because there will be justice and rewards/consequences.
3-GOD created life and death to try us. Those who die through injustice/oppression because of our own decisions/badness will see justice at GOD.
4- This fleeting life is not what matters. The hereafter is the real life.As far as we are concerned we feel sorrow . But if we know that GOD is just and most Merciful that should help a bit.

The question was more based on does god have the same feelings as us, not about us and how we see life and what our feelings are. My mums point was if we feel sorrow for people, doesn't God, and I tried telling her God doesn't but my evidence to support it was nil.

Love ,pleasure , wrath , anger etc are expression of human emotions. God loves, does not love , have pleasure , wrath etc.
3162 Is one who follows the pleasure of God, as one who draws the wrath of God and whose abode is hell? What a miserable destiny!
3045 So that He will reward those who acknowledge and do good works from His grace. He does not love the ingrates.
3146 Many a prophet had a large number of devotees fighting with him. They did not waver by what afflicted them in the cause of God, nor did they become weak, nor did they become discouraged; and God loves the steadfast.

I don't know why should God, or we be sad for someones death... won't it happen to everyone ?
I mean it happened to everyone before us, and happens to everyone now, and those to come. I'm not saying be a rock-solid emotioneless person, actually the death of someone is very emotional and can trigger strong responses, but our emotions should also be directed in the right direction. Be sad because you will miss him/her.. but be happy they have finished their journey here too. )The purpose is not live here, the purpose is to live in the afterlife, forever. So I'm actually happy, and I think, so should people, because really if you look at the Qur'an, you will conclude that the after life is much better than this life... So if we are going somewhere better, why not be happy ? D I'll try my best here, hopefully be from those whom Allah will have mercy on the other side too.

I think this is quite enlightening. So we know that God has feelings but does not let its feelings or emotions distort true justice and the natural laws of this world, nor does God intervene with free-will. Whereas we are different because our emotions and feelings can sometimes misguide us and distort us from the path of justice.

if we question human emotions first ,we need to observe our selves in anger or in happiness.
it is clearly an emotion which is a reaction to what we forecast project in our minds ,if the out come was something we like we are happy ,if the out come was something we hate we are not happy,so we are sad or angry.
lets go deeper with this,what is happening on the inside?
eg, i want more money or i want my wife to love me. and if i get the opposite then i am really disappointment and the negative feeling arises or if i get what i want i become happy.
so these feelings are linked to my projection or what i wanted ,what i have put forth,they go against the order of the Quran to be " patient" "sabr ".
If ask this interms of Allah the all knower or if wills something he simple says " be and it is" .
there could be misinterpretations of the quran where we start using some words used in it ,towards ourselves . those words from the quran referred from the Ayas about Allah are true but we use these words today to describe our reactions and feelings ,and that is a mistake . we cannot use those words to describe our emotions ,it is wrong .
as for the emotions we have resulting from a reaction. lets look deeper into that and we find out that these reactions to certain situations will go away in a while.a broken heart will mend in time.
anger can die in time.
so my question would be would there be some thing else connected with those feelings.
at the time of anger man knows nothing but he is angry ,often missing the reason why . and would run into many mistakes while not knowing how to react.
yet if we look further again we find out that at this moment man is anger nothing but anger,not a result of a situation any more ,but just anger.
those feelings seem to come for a reason but later will live on with out the reason.and we all share them.
what brought them around? why did we have them?
are they biological or just psychological ?
i have reason to believe that these feelings are some how to do with our " qareeen" it helps in on them.
it is very human for we all have a "qareen " .
this definitely needs deeper observation ,but the answer is clear ,ALLAH is not human and does not share human traits . he sees it he knows it ,but he is not of it .

Hi there guys,
I was having an argument with my mum about something. She said "Doesn't God feel pain and sorrow when he sees his creation dying?" I was like "no God doesn't feel those things." She wanted evidence that God doesn't feel human emotion but i couldn't find any evidence.... can anyone help me out?

The thing is God is the maker of everything, also of our emotions, of our sentiments, of our passions. He knows them in and out. God loves, He says so en the Qur'an, He likes... But is the love of God the same as human love? I think it is beyond our grasp as everything concerning God is beyond our grasp. We grasp, experience some of Him through ourselves and through the whole creation, which are a projection of him in which we are conscious of what He wants us to be conscious. Nothing that exists is strange to God, he is the shaper of it, including our emotional setup. Teh one of each of us. Therefore He is not a stranger to human emotions, no, He created them, and as everything created by Him, which is everything, everything has His mark, but He is beyond anything we are able to conceive. When God speaks to us in the qur'an, he speaks so we understand Him, it would be useless to try to speak to us about things we could never conceive. He tells us He loves, but His love is not like human love, although human love is from Him and has His mark. What God's love is, what He means when He says He loves is for our consumption and orientation. His love, His anything we cannot grasp. However, what we can grasp should be sufficient for us regarding Him. That is, He is not playing an emotional game with us, He is truly guiding us through our destiny. We are His, He knows of everything we feel, think and do, but He is way beyond our grasp, although the very, very little we do grasp is true, completely true.
