Top 10 Intellectual reasons, why I believe in God/A Higher Being

So I came across a post of "Reasons to believe in God", and honestly, It wasn't convincing enough for me, even though I myself believe in God. So I went off on my own and compiled my own intellectual reasons, which I personally believe hold more ground and basis for a belief in God. (This is a draft)

My points will stem from the notion that, "If there is a higher being that created and made the universe, then that being should very well know how it functions, it's mechanisms, it's systems, what's in it and whereabouts etc."As a student of world Religion, I like to use multiple scriptures and cross references, but for time constraint, The main scripture I will be using here is the Quran & the Bible

Reasons to believe in God

Reason #1) Genetic Modification/Creation
To start, I want to define God as the Creator (i.e the one who created us). Nowadays, it is not far-fetched to grasp the idea that some Higher being can create species, why? because we humans have the same power; the power to create and genetically modify a specie and change it to our liking (Keeping in mind that we only have had this knowledge for a little more than 50 years, Imagine what would a thousand years worth of knowledge of genetic modification could bring about...)
"We have created you, if you only you could believe! Have you noted the semen you produce? Did you create it, or did we?" ( Quran 5657-9)

Reason #2) The Formation of the Universe
It is now a held fact that the Universe began from a single point, and exploded into the Big Bang, continuing to expand over time. In the Scriptures, We see this Entity telling us how it created the Universe and how will it end itThe Big Bang?Do those who unbelieve (In God) not realize that the heavens and the earth used to be one solid mass that we Exploded into existence? And from water we made all living things. Would they (now) believe? (Quran 2130)

-The Gaseous state of the universe/neubulas produce Stars and planets
"He turned to the sky, when it was still gas, and proclaimed to it, and to the earth, "Come into existence!..." (Quran 4111)

-Expansion of the Universe
"We constructed the sky with our hands, and we will continue to expand it" (Quran 5147)"It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in." (Isaiah 4022)

-Big Crunch theory
"... we will fold the heaven, like the folding of a book. Just as we initiated the first creation, we will repeat it. This is our promise; we will certainly carry it out." (Quran 21104)

"In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. Even they will perish, but You endure; And all of them will wear out like a garment; Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.?" (Psalm 10225-27)

Black holes
"I swear by Black holes, the ones that run and sweep everything in their path" (8115)

Reason #3) Formation of Matter, Energy, and Gravity
Most of this universe is made of unexplained, unseen Dark matter and Dark Energy that apparently plays a big role in the movement and stability of the universe. Who is this Dark, unseen energy?

"God is the One who holds the heavens and the earth, lest they vanish. If anyone else is to hold them, they will most certainly vanish. He is Clement, Forgiving." (Quran 3541)
" He is the One who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; each floating in its own orbit. (Quran 2133)

"Do they not see the birds committed to fly in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up in the air except God. This should be proof for people who believe." (Quran 1679)

Reason #4) The formation of planetary systems

-Gaseos neubulas produce Stars and planets
"He turned to the sky, when it was still gas, and proclaimed to it, and to the earth, "Come into existence!..." (Quran 4111)

-The sun gives shining light, not the moon
"He designed the moon therein to be a light, and placed the sun to be a shining lamp." (Quran 7116)

-Positions of stars (since Stars are in constant motion, it's hard to keep track of their positions)
"I swear by the positions of the stars. This is an awesome oath, if you only knew. (Quran 5675-76)

-Everything has an orbit
"The sun is never to catch up with the moon, neither does the night overtake the day. Everything is floating in its own orbit" (3640)

Reason #5) The Formation of the Earth

-Continental drift
"When you look at the mountains, you think that they are standing still. But they are moving, like the clouds. Such is the manufacture of God, who perfected everything. He is fully Cognizant of everything you do" (278

-The Earth is Spherical
"After that God shaped the Earth into an egg-shape" (Quran 7930)"
"It is He who sits above the circle of the earth..." (Isaiah 4022)

Reason #6) The Formation of the Atmosphere

-Seven layers of atmosphere and earth
"Do you not realize that GOD created seven skies in layers? (7115)
'God created seven layers of sky and the same for the earth. The commands flow among them. This is to let you know that God is Omnipotent, and that God is fully aware of all things? (6512)...

-Air thins in Upper Atmospheres
"... He renders his chest intolerant and straitened, like one who climbs towards the sky..." (Quran 6125)

-Ozone layer/Electro-Magnetic Field
?We made the sky a preserved and protected roof yet still they turn away from Our Signs.?(Quran 2132)

Reason #7) The Formation of Rain & Water
"Have you noted the water you drink? Did you send it down from the clouds, or did we? If we wish, we can make it salty. You should be thankful! (Quran 5669-70)

"God is the One who sends the winds, to stir up clouds, to be spread throughout the sky in accordance with His will. He then piles the clouds up, then you see the rain coming down therefrom. When it falls on whomever He chooses from among His servants, they rejoice. (Quran 304

-Natural Barrier between salt and fresh water
"He has let loose the two seas, converging together, with a barrier between them they do not break through. (Quran 5519-20)
God said, "Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water." (Genesis 16)

Reason # The Formation of Man

-Human Embryology
"? we reproduced (Man) from a tiny drop (semen) that is placed into a well-protected repository (Womb). Then we developed the drop into a hanging (embryo), then developed the hanging (embryo) into a bite-size (fetus), then created the bite-size (fetus) into bones, then covered the bones with flesh. We thus produce a new creature. Blessed is God, the Best Creator! (Quran 2313-14)

-The Husband semen determines the baby?s gender
?He is the One who created the two kinds, male and female, from a tiny drop of semen? (5345) "We have created you, if you could only believe; Have you noted the semen that you produce? Did you create it, or did we?" (Qurann 5657-9)

-Finger Prints
"Does the human being think that we will not reconstruct his bones? Yes indeed; we are able to reconstruct his very own finger tip." (Quran 753-4)

Reason #9) Origins of Life and life products
"God created every living creature from water. Some of them walk on their bellies, some walk on two legs, and some walk on four. God creates whatever He wills. God is Omnipotent." (2445)

-Methods of pro-creation
"Glory be to the One who created all kinds of plants from the earth, as well as themselves, and other creations that they do not even know." (3636)

Honey originates from bees? stomachs
?Your Lord inspired the bee; build homes in mountains and trees and in (hives) they build for you. Then eat from all the fruits, following the design of your Lord, precisely. From their bellies comes a drink of different colors, wherein there is healing for the people. This should be proof for people who reflect? (Quran 1668-69)

Origins of Milk
"In the livestock there is a lesson for you we provide you with a drink from their bellies. From the midst of digested food and blood, you get pure milk, delicious for the drinkers. (Quran 1666)

Reason #10) Fine tuning of the Universe, Evolution, Natural Selection, and Phi ratio

"God created seven universes in layers. You do not see any imperfection in the creation of God. Keep looking; do you see any flaw? Look again and again, your sight will return to you dazzled and exhausted!" (Quran 674)

"Do you not realize that God sends down from the sky water, whereby we produce fruits of various colors? Even the mountains have different colors; the peaks are white, or red, or some other color... Also, the people, the animals, and the livestock come in various colors. This is why the people who truly reverence God are those who are knowledgeable. God is The Almighty, Forgiving. (Quran 3527-2

"They can never fathom the greatness of God. The whole earth is within His fist on the Day of Resurrection. In fact, the universes are folded within His right hand.* Be He glorified; He is much too high above needing any partners. (3967)

There are some points you have listed which I don't think qualify as intellectual reasons for believing in God.

Reason #1) Genetic Modification/Creation

the power to create and genetically modify a specie and change it to our liking (Keeping in mind that we only have had this knowledge for a little more than 50 years, Imagine what would a thousand years worth of knowledge of genetic modification could bring about...)

What do we create? At best we alter what has already been created, usually with negative side effects. A thousand years worth of research into GM might bring about the knowledge that we can alter and create new species sure, but it also may bring about the knowledge that we cannot improve upon the nature God has created, we really don't and can't know either way until more discoveries are made.

Very interesting, I have never come across this translation before.. where is it from? The ones I read are all either "I swear by the stars" or "planets".

Reason #3) Formation of Matter, Energy, and Gravity

This is a God of the gaps argument, any atheist would be right in dismissing it since it relies on a lack of knowledge. Yes God sustains our existence and we could not exist even a moment without His constant sustenance but it is a big leap from that to say that He is dark matter and or dark energy, more likely these are just tools He uses, like gravity, radiation etc.

Also we know that dark energy exists since we can detect it, I don't think we could detect God with scientific equipment.

-Air thins in Upper Atmospheres

Anyone who has climbed a mountain would know this, not really divine knowledge.

Reason #7) The Formation of Rain & Water

Same as above, any sailor who saw the rising condensation on the sea could come to this conclusion.

Reason #10) Fine tuning of the Universe, Evolution, Natural Selection, and Phi ratio

The only problem I have with this is that I don't believe evolution theory is adequately supported by scientific findings.

Logical sense tells us that for every reaction there is a cause. The beginning of the universe must has a cause, a power that can create something out of nothing and make the entire universe started out as a singularity.

Prof. Stephen Hawking says that the total energy within our universe is 0, by adding up positive and negative energy. His idea shows that our universe began from nothing. This automatically invalidates other universe models such as "eternal inflation", "cyclic universe" and "cosmic egg".

For me the reason why I believe in God (or a supreme authority) is my consciousness. For me my consciousness is the only absolute reality. What I see with my eyes ? what I hear with my ears ? what I touch, taste and smell can all be illusions ? the trick of my brain, but when I close my eyes, and feel me inside ? that ?me? inside is real ? there is no chance whatsoever that this ?inner me? is an illusion ? a mere product of random actions and reactions of some molecules. And there is no shadow of doubt ? this ?inner me? is the greatest possession that I can possibly have ? all the magnificent beauty of the world, all its resources and pleasures would mean absolutely nothing to me ? if I was not created as a conscious entity.

So where did I get this consciousness from? Of course I did not create it, nor did I apply for it ? it has been just given to me as a generous unsolicited gift. Who gave me this gift ? I don?t know ? but that does not mean I have to believe this came out of nothing. So here I am searching for the face of the One who gifted me the greatest gift ever - the ?inner me?.

May Allah guide us all to the straight route.

I really can say I believe because of some "reason". It is like love. ?Why do we love? For no reason, we are made that way. Belief is a condition of gthe human being, like love. And like love, it has different colours and grades. All good people believe. Full stop. The religious minded may call it believe in God, the "godless" may calle it belief in justice, others may call it nothing, but all people belief except the people who are unfaithful to a very high degree, who do not keep faith with anything or anybody who treat everything as it it was merchandise, who only love money. They are twisted natures who may not be able to love or to believe "in anything", although they may say and affirm they believe in God and may do their rituals and so on.

So I believe, because I do not know how not to believe and I am not interested in learning. And that, for me, is plenty of reason.

People tend to subject the Quranic text to newest scientific finds to get confirmation for themselves.
Science is of course infallible.
