Audience of the Quran

Are we meant to read the Quran through the eyes of the Prophet?
What I have noticed is that the Quran directly refers to the Prophet as "you". eg
In places where the Quran speaks to another people, it mentions the people by name in the beginning. eg
Otherwise the people is referred to in the third person. Therefore it seems that the Quran is originally a book of guidance for the Prophet, who in turn should guide the people with its message.

Indeed it is written as a prophecy for a prophet or rasuul. And it could be interpreted as a manual of preaching its message. The intention is to help people find their spiritual selves and separate the fleshly world and hence make people reflect upon it. The purpose is to realize there is no physical reality but it is just an illusion made of abstract energy.
