The Dark Age of Islam

^This is a pdf file, you'll need Adobe Reader to read it. Section 'B' from page 6 to 9 (of the pdf file, not the actual book) are specifically about the non-political reasons for the fall of Islamic civlisation.
It would be good if more people read this and reflect on the past. Things dont seem to have changed much you'll see.
The pdf itself is from a muslim philosophy site
http//www.muslimphilosophy.com/
Under the 'History of Muslim Philosophy' section.
I shall soon be reading more about Ibn Sina and Al-Ghazali, great thinkers of their time, who were not afraid to free their minds. Is it too idealistic of me to hope for a second renaissance?

Salam Beatnik,
unfortunately I cannot open the pdf file but thanks a lot for the great link of muslim philosophy with its many interesting sources!
I actually started reading a book from Al Ghazali about our return to God. But I didn't get that far yet so I cannot say anything about it yet.
Salaams
