Does Islam allow homosexuality?
-
You will have to clarify that question, I'm not even sure it's addressed towards me...
Evidence for what?
-
Well you are a homophobe JavaLatte.
If you want to say that to me even a thousands times, then you should know that it is not something that can discourage me, God willing.
And yes, God is the Most Merciful, but do not hide behind God's attribute to defend something which is not blessed by Him. That is unrighteous.
-
I'm not even defending anything. I'm saying there is no reference to homosexuality being condemned in Quran whatsoever. If you think there is the task to prove there is, is up to you. Provide your sources.
Or do you condemn anything that's not mentioned in Quran at all?
-
Some of you might be unaware this homophobia within Islam is something that is pretty modern and was totally absent in history

Persian manuscript from the Qajar dynasty. Showing Mahmud of Ghazni with Ayaz and poets Ferdowsi, Unsuri and Asjadi (Walters Arts Museum, Baltimore)
Sultan Mahmud was ruler of the Ghaznavid Empire, which he ruled from 997 til his death. The first to use the title of sultan in Islamic history. Mahmud fell in love with Malik Ayaz, a Turkish slave. He promoted Ayaz to general in his army and later gave him the throne to Lahore where he became the first islamic ruler. The relationship between Mahmud and Ayaz in islamic culture is legendary. Especially among sufi poets it is praised for its qualities.

Then I ask you
If someday, there are people who ask you to be a witness in a gay wedding.
Will you accept it? Will you be their witness, to approve their marriage when they're making solemn oath before Allah?
-
I dont like to go to weddings and certainly not as a witness. But I have no moral objections to doing such a thing outside that. The wedding ritual as performed today is not one of Gods instructions.

The question is crystal clear!
Didn't you just say
I will have issues with you once you attribute such narrow mindedness to God.
Talk is cheap!
Where is your proof (from the Quran)!? -

That's "unclear/vague" answer.
I suppose you avoid to answer my question with simple answer YES or NO

The next link refers to the story of Babur, a descendant of the legendary conquerors Timur Lenk and Dzjengis Khan and who founded the Islamic Mogoldynasty in India.

Still not convinced this homophobia is not even historically islamic?

Soccer is not in Quran.
Ducks aren't in Quran.
Internet isn't in Quran. Are you condemning those as well?

My my... No objection means I have no issue to do so, outside my disliking for attending wedding rituals. Rituals aren't Islamic to begin with.

Btw JavaLatte, your avatar depicting rainbow colors is also known as the gay pride flag. You may want to change your avatar, just saying rotfl

Nop! because instead of teaching us how to play man-made games (such as soccer), or how to use man-made things (such as a computer) or what not, Our Master teachs us to be authentic, guard our chastity by avoiding lewdness, AND EMBRACE THE (COMPATIBLE) MATES THAT WERE ASSIGNED TO US (in my case a female).
-
God never appointed you to define by yourself what lewdness consists of nor did he appoint you as a judge to decide what compatible mates are outside your own person. The fahisha God refers to has no example whatsoever of being a sexual sin. Maybe homosexuals think what heterosexuals do is lewd. All these subjective considerations are inferior to Gods definition of fahisha in Quran. The fahisha in Quran nowhere speaks about sexual orientation. The only thing you can conclude from that is that lewdness is not exclusive to any sexual orientation but one can act lewd no matter their sexual preference.
