I'm glad I have found this forum as my discontent with the Hadiths & Sunna has grown more and more over the years. I have to admit that my Dad has always pushed me to question and he himself refuted a lot of Hadiths as being "ridiculous" or not applicable.
After some research on Islam I discovered that these added man made books were written ~300 years after the Prophets death! When I started bringing up these issues, the scholars/imams would imperatively ask me to stop questioning and follow....! I am versed in all the Abrahamic religions and If my understanding is correct, Allah is seeking to free us from men made shackles. When one asks me to stop questioning and follow aren't you they against that? Moreover the trends of modifying the "truth" are seen in Judaism, Christianity and other traditions. A few decades after the messenger's death, an empire/group tries to codify the religion by either modifying it or adding books to it when they can't do it directly.
Moreover I was tired of the rhetoric by the Ulama and Imams about Arab/Muslim supremacy. It just felt divisive for our species in general and contrary to the unity that is found in the Quran and in faith in general.
Thirdly the exalting of Muhammad (PBUH) was too much. I mean he's human and he was a good person, but to go from there and start a idolizing just felt shackling to say the least. I also saw a lot of parallels with the Christian version of Jesus and how everything had to go "through" him ( the patterns the Quran was sent to break are indeed repeating themselves).
Of course I'm not refuting all the Hadiths but as all things, they must be brought to the test of logic and rationality.
I'm a stoic. I believe in Objectivity because everything is logical in the universe. Even if we think it's magic, Allah has superior logic; always. This also invigorates the thirst for knowledge and discovery of Allah infinite knowledge and masterpiece of existence.
So whenever something doesn't stand logic and objective truth, then I let it go. It's very simple and enforces staying present in order to pick up the data and sensory input of the Now.
Anyways there's a lot to talk about and hope to participate in this forum.
Allah Knows Muslims need to be freed from the Shackles of the Hadith & Sunna.
Although I don't have a problem with these books as "Historical books", they are enforced as "The Interpretations". This is very dangerous as it blocks any other form of interpretation.
Dangerous Hijacking of the Deen, which we see more and more the results with all the Fringe violent groups which are the result of the oil dollar fueling Wahabism/Salafist draconian exclusive perspectives on the truth.

The last issue I'm seeing is Muslims leaving Deen because they can't stand the shackles anymore. Even if they try the Quran, they'll read it literally and that in itself is a prison.

It is Shaytaan (instincts) which has caused them to not let you question them.
They are deceived by Shaytaan (instincts) so that their practices feel appealing to them and this reinforces their belief that they are right (pride). They also do not know what Shaytaan is so they think man is having to do with whispers of a separate entity and that man cannot be wise to deal with it. And they also think Shaytaan is more than instincts so they think it is an entity which can plan and think. But Shaytaan is only a feature of our fleshly body, namely instincts, mainly (beastly) desire. If we do bad it is only from ourselves and that we let our instincts control us.

The day I stopped viewing Shaytan as some magical other, is the day I truly felt ascending in faith.
Second, I've never met any pure evil. Everyone is deluded towards their sense of happiness. Even if their definition of happiness is harmful to others.
Third, when a relative of mine was quoting some hadith superstition, I told her Throughout my life, It is not superstition that gets me out of trouble but logic and reasoning, and that in its own self is the miracle and blessing from Allah, Al Hamdoulilah.

The trap in seeing Shaytaan as a separate entity, and GOD too, is that you risk being passive because you expect GOD to do everything for you through (often blind) worship and you are afraid (fear - instinct = shaytaan) that if you think independently then Shaytaan will mislead you for it is the curse traditional interpretation of Quran shows of the removal of GOD's grace if you question anything, and traditional interpreters are saying if you show disbelief in any parameter then GOD will stop guiding you and you are susceptible to so-called "whispers of Shaytaan" which is beyond your capability to deal with (according to them). It is an evil circle, this reasoning and hard to get out of.
The irony is that this fear is the whisper of Shaytaan in itself and is like shackles. And the clergy uses it to control people out of fear and persecutes those who deviate to protect the community which becomes a horrendous thing.
When you do an unrighteous act then the deed is from yourself and not some whisperer in the dark. It is due to instincts and nothing else besides lack of knowledge and wisdom, and willpower. That is your Shaytaan. Do not blame someone else, it is misconception.
The flock instinct is Shaytaan, i.e. to easily accept superiors you admire.
It all comes down to yourself, your ego. Reduce or remove it completely and you are well off. Then you can truly listen to wisdom.
Same if you pray about some personality change in life to GOD, you need to realize the prayer in GOD (Allah). No way that GOD does the hard work for you while you are lazy and lay back and relax. So it is true that all the good is in GOD but the bad is from ourselves, no blaming of an image called Shaytaan. In GOD you can be perfected.
And we should be careful in listening to other people because they may be a wolf in a wise man's garment. If they are very instinctive then they are not spiritual guides. Best is to use our own intellect and deem for ourselves.
