Salat when practiced one comes closer to Him and make oneself available to Him.
Reciting verses about Him, about His attributes is the core and the ways and the times vary.

        Perfect.

Keeping in mind that poojah has been embodied by people after the quran by mistranslating or re-defining words..........

        We can actually understand this from;

        4102
YUSUFALI When thou (O Messenger) art with them, and standest to lead them in
prayer, Let one party of them stand up (in prayer) with thee, Taking their arms
        16
with them When they finish their prostrations, let them Take their position in the
rear. And let the other party come up which hath not yet prayed - and let them pray
with thee, Taking all precaution, and bearing arms the Unbelievers wish, if ye were
negligent of your arms and your baggage, to assault you in a single rush. But there
is no blame on you if ye put away your arms because of the inconvenience of rain or
because ye are ill; but take (every) precaution for yourselves. For the Unbelievers
Allah hath prepared a humiliating punishment.
PICKTHAL And when thou (O Muhammad) art among them and arrangest (their)
worship for them, let only a party of them stand with thee (to worship) and let them
take their arms. Then when they have performed their prostrations let them fall to
the rear and let another party come that hath not worshipped and let them worship
with thee, and let them take their precaution and their arms. Those who disbelieve
long for you to neglect your arms and your baggage that they may attack you once
for all. It is no sin for you to lay aside your arms, if rain impedeth you or ye are sick.
But take your precaution. Lo! Allah prepareth for the disbelievers shameful
        punishment.
SHAKIR And when you are among them and keep up the prayer for them, let a
party of them stand up with you, and let them take their arms; then when they have
prostrated themselves let them go to your rear, and let another party who have not
prayed come forward and pray with you, and let them take their precautions and
their arms; (for) those who disbelieve desire that you may be careless of your arms
and your luggage, so that they may then turn upon you with a sudden united attack,
and there is no blame on you, if you are annoyed with rain or if you are sick, that
you lay down your arms, and take your precautions; surely Allah has prepared a
        disgraceful chastisement for the unbelievers.

Now here in the middle of a war , what will the prophet advice the fighters with - of course the war tactics which they need so they can overcome the enemy.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with the poojah or Namaz.

In Sura 4102, G-D commands His messenger to follow a certain pattern/procedure when assuming the role of a conciliator.
That's why G-D emphasized the importance of carrying weapons ...

This is my humble understanding (as an apprentice) ~ our Master knows best.

so many verses are there to explain?

Salat is not new but its refined by the prophet as per his ideas rejecting the idols and other symbols of God.

I know literally what "salat" is and I have written about it quite frequently in the forum. Of course it is up to people to accept whether I am right or not, but I argue that I have a solid stance.

Since I wrote articles about it some months ago my insight has by far increased, but I wrote briefly about it a while ago with the pinpointed exact literal meaning.

I am working on the documentation and a careful scientific analysis on my Personal Computer to be more solid in my arguments at the moment, but it is a tedious work obviously to unravel one of the biggest scams of the millennia. I also have to decipher a whole bunch of passages which need utter reinterpretation because they do not represent the truth even remotely, e.g. 4102, 2458, 11114, 56(!) Etc

The real meaning is something as weird as "guidance" despite that traditionalists use 'hudan' for that. The famous aqum al-salah is nothing more than "firmly follow the guidance" basically loosely paraphrased. Qum means to "stand firm" while committed to something as having a solid intention. When GOD speaks to Moses GOD simply says "I am with you as long as you 'are committed to the guidance'" and not as long as you uphold some ritualistic prayer or (magic) prayer connection at all.

The alleged "praying birds" are no more than being guided autonomously.

Shu'ayb's people are inquiring him about the guidance he is proposing.

Guidance can obviously be information for a person so therefore salah refers to the resultant object for a person who has been guided by someone OR something (a wise text for example). This guidance is al-ketaab which is knowledge in REAL Arabic.

Salawa has valid lexical connotations as "follow closely" and a leading horse in a horse race is musalla which is the reason because the word simply means "GUIDANCE" (salah) or the instance of "GUIDING" (salla/salli) or being A GUIDE (musalla). Contact prayer or connection is a blatant lie. The only reason why salawa would have a connotation on connection is because you consciously decide to follow someone (GOD) and by so "keep the connection" in your path to follow the guidance of GOD.

This was the easy answer to the salat myth. If you like to make it more complicated feel free to continue to try some non-existent definitions.

              Salaam

May the Peace and Blessings of God be upon you

Put your trust in God, the Almighty, the Teacher of the Quran.

May i give you some advice? Study the language and read the Quran in the meanwhile ( in a language u understand, but don't rely on the translation/or ).

The only advice i have for myself and you is to test your believe and read the quran from cover to cover. You will understand by the will of God more and more by studying and researching. I didn't grasp the whole Quran just by reading it once, reading is the key here.

Have patience, i also struggled with the salat topic. Patience my brother/sister.

Believing in GOD, and doing good deeds, lets not underestimate that. What was your reason to become a believer? I guess because u wanted to accept God and do good deeds right?

My mom went to sleep forever last week. Some really strange things happened. Her face was so beautiful while asleep that people couldn't stop praising her. When we were going to leave her in the garden of sleeping people we saw no one there. Priest told us at least 6 people were required to take her. Strangely that moment, more than 10 people showed up out of nowhere in the middle of open valley and windmills. It is really far from the real city. These strangers prayed and even went to see her next day. Everyone has been saying she was no ordinary woman and that she was highly blessed and lucky. The ladies who gave her shower said her face kept staying on the west for some reason which was another strange thing. When I saw her before that her head was straight. But the ladies said she smiled in her sleep too. They came to our house today and kept praising her. They were also going on saying she was not ordinary.

Now here is the thing, she was not a regular in salat. In fact, she didn't do it for several years. All she did was recite verses from Quran before going to sleep. She didn't even have to suffer before falling asleep. It just happened like a sudden wind. So I have come to conclusion that probably the kind of salat mainstream Muslims talk about has very little to do with what a good Muslim is.

I am still very much heartbroken. But I am glad that she was able to know the truth of Islam before she fell asleep.

                          Peace MOF,

Guidance is not equal to Salat.

Guidance is only the result of Salat, and its the effort we make to connect with Him, to make our-self available for Him is the Salat.

Allah is to be seen with his justness, common goodness provider and to respect HIM/IT should be our objective.

The first step to receive guidance is to get that personal or individual ego(given by Satan) out of us and Salat helps us. The Sujud we do is an important part in it
and the recitation that reminds us of His superiority over everything is how we establish our salat. This is how other faiths also perform their Salat.

I do not think the ritual is so important here and need to be unique, it depends on situations and our mind state.

                          Quran 1778
Establish prayer at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night and the Qur'an of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.

                          Quran 2945
Recite, , what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater.
And Allah knows that which you do.

                            Salaam amin,

There is no ritual. It is the guile. You have to read again through my post. The word means the following of someone or something, i.e. you are guided by that object. I gave you the word definition very clearly and gave you an example with a leading horse in a horse race. This horse leads (guides) the race. The same with salat, directly or indirectly you follow guidance, if you do that.

                            Salaam

                              Peace amin, Man Of Faith.

Indeed ,how do we figure out "Salat"? Has GOD sent a message? What does the message say about "Salat"?

This is not a pantomime,Oh no,there is no salat...Oh yes there is... Our salvation depends on following the message.

Of course ,in the end GOD will settle all the disputes. But in the meantime we must not follow each other or those who have no authority from GOD. We must follow the "message" brought by the "Messengers" who have/had authority from GOD to deliver HIS(no gender ...)message.

                              Why?

                              2517
On the day when He(no gender...) summons them, together with the idols they had set up beside God, He will say, "Have you misled these servants of Mine, or did they go astray on their own?"

                              2518
They will say, "Be You glorified, it was not right for us to set up any lords beside You. But You allowed them to enjoy, together with their parents. Consequently, they disregarded the message and thus became " Boran" people.

                              2519
They have disbelieved in the message you have given them, and, consequently, you can neither protect them from the retribution they have incurred, nor can you help them in any way. Anyone among you who commits evil, we will commit him to severe "Adhaban".

                              2520
We did not send any messengers before you who did not eat food and walk in the markets. We thus test you by each other; will you steadfastly persevere? Your Lord is Seer.

Check/ponder/make sure...GOD guides the sincere, they will attain certainty...

                              GOD bless you.
                              Peace.

The real question in the light of the scripture called Quran is what the ancient Arabic says and not what ignorant people say or have said without knowledge. It is a delusion that it speaks of a ritualistic prayer and I have spent the past years of intensive work showing what it says and what it does not say.

You have no old messenger here to explain. You have to interpret the text yourself. It is what I am doing and I share the result with others. It is up to them to believe old sectarian scholars and clerics or me who sincerely and independently decipher it discarding old bias and not taking a preconceived meaning as granted.

What do you do with praying birds? Are you wholly? For the wholly obviously the birds in question are following a leader and following in formation.

Follow closely or remain attached is a registered lexical definition. It is not conjecture by me. It is also the true etymological meaning. Read up on the horse race example. There should be no dispute concerning salat. It is obvious.

A myriad of passages misrepresent the text and a handful of passages look like they confirm a ritual, but there is inconsistency and illogical combinations if you analyze other passages. It is not coherent.

Follow what GOD offers in terms of guidance and live that way is the message.

The salat phenomenon is only unclear to those who like to complicate things.

                                Salaam

So according to your definition we are to "Follow closely or remain attached"
                                  at fixed times? nope

And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting,
or on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish prayer.
Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.

                                  Waw-Qaf-Ta = to fix, defined/determined/limited a

                                    Peace Man Of Faith.

You are mixing up your "Salats".

"Aquimi salat" stands alone from other "Salats".The birds you mention know their "salat" but they do not "Aquimu salat".

"Salat" can have different meanings in Qoran according to the context/subject... It does not have a single meaning .

Your quote can also apply to you

The salat phenomenon is only unclear to those who like to complicate things.

                                    GOD bless you.

                                      Salaam Reel,

I am so sorry to hear that. May she rest in peace. I hope you're fine and stay strong. It's sad to hear this news

I am glad that she left so peacefully. I am glad tht you were able to have your mother all this time and that you were able to be beside her on her last travel. In sha Allah she is in the intimacy of her Rabb and is now another ambassador from all of us to God's intimacy.
I trust that you will find strength to be her successor in this life and that in another form whe will continue being with you.

                                        Salaam

                                          Salaam everyone,

Reel, my condolences on passing of your mom. May the Creator grant you patience and strength.

Let's use Quran as its own dictionary.

7531 For he did not believe nor "salla"
7532 But he denied and turned away.

As you can clearly see, the verb "salla" is contrasted with "turned away" so it can only mean "turned toward".

Salat is "a way of turning towards" or communication. When you "turn away" from someone you are in fact stopping communication and disconnecting from someone. In the quranic context "salat" is communication with the Creator. Birds have their own form of communication with the Creator as does every living being. For the believers, "aqimi al-salat" is establishing communication with the Creator at certain times of the day. Purpose is remembering the Creator and it results in guidance and physical, mental, spiritual progress.

                                          Salaam
