Salaam folks long time no ping,

I need to know the original verse(s) for the following concepts and I have dug around but can't find them..

1- The verse(s) that mention that some of the Quranic concepts are metaphors and not literal and that some wise one's can understand them.

2- That even mumins don't fall on Quran blindly but follow it rationally.

    Thanks!

      Peace,

226 GOD does not shy away from citing any kind of allegory,* from the tiny mosquito and greater. As for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. As for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did GOD mean by such an allegory?" He misleads many thereby, and guides many thereby. But He never misleads thereby except the wicked,

37 He sent down to you this scripture, containing straightforward verses - which constitute the essence of the scripture - as well as multiple-meaning or allegorical verses. Those who harbor doubts in their hearts will pursue the multiple-meaning verses to create confusion, and to extricate a certain meaning. None knows the true meaning thereof except GOD and those well founded in knowledge. They say, "We believe in this - all of it comes from our Lord." Only those who possess intelligence will take heed.

      1. Many verses but main one is 1736

1736 You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them.

      Regards

But I still don't have to verse talking about accepting Islam rationally.

          Actually the verse truth gave, does indicate reasoning and rationality. I have this translation if it makes any difference;

          1. And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and mind, all these you are responsible for.

          Rational . adj.

          1. Having or exercising the ability to reason.
          2. Of sound mind; sane.

          These are some suggestions also
3918. The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom God has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence.

          1. And if the Quran is being studied, then listen to it and pay attention, that you may receive mercy.

          2. Mankind has been created from haste. I will show you My signs, so do not be in a rush.

          Peace
