On intuition and false prophets

You lost me at Teal Swan, I only listen to purple swans.
Hahaha, funny D Her original name was Teal Scott, after marriage changed to Teal Swan.
Are you sure that she's trustworthy, sis?
To be honest, I prefer not following/listening people like that,
moreover if they collect/earn money from such profession (spiritual teacher).
Please be careful.
Just a friendly advice.
Peace.
Thanks for your concern JavaLatte. I understand what you mean. When I came across her at first, I judged her a lot, starting from her sensual appeal, her way of speaking, the fact she makes money out of it too, etc. That too I hardly read her work that time. I avoided her for a few months. Later I came across her videos, and in several videos I watched on her YouTube channel, most of what she said resonated deep within me, and the ones that didn't, I am either unsure about or don't agree with her perspective, which is okay, since we have different perspectives.
I think we have a bad notion about money. As in money is the root of evil, good actions and deeds should not require money. This has created a paradigm where good deeds earn less and bad deeds earn a great deal more (such as the drug industry, porn industry, etc). Which is bad since that would tempt more people to go after bad things for easier money.
This lady has devoted her life to the work she does, and she does it brilliantly, spending huge time, energy and money herself. So don't you think she deserves to live a good life and get money for her work too? Also many of her videos and articles are for free, and they are loaded with content. She does them even when she hits low points in her life.
Regarding being sensual, she wrote a great article on this. Pick the points that apply to you and leave the ones that don't

Salaam Samira,
Thanks a bunch for the link to this video.
It is excellent. I really liked it. Thanks again.May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr
mmKhanThank you very much mmkhan. I am very glad you liked it. You can check out more of her videos here, her knowledge and wisdom is stunning and caught me off guard often, since many of them resonate with me a lot, despite coming from a very different background from her. But do keep your discernment alert, and listen to your instincts as to what makes sense and what doesn't, since that's what Teal advised earlier too, to listen to our inner prophet

Allah teaches me to not follow such people (who gain money from such profession),
so, inshaAllah, I will stick with that as one of my basic principles, it is safer.
I think we have a bad notion about money. As in money is the root of evil, good actions and deeds should not require money.
I'm not sure that I have bad notion about money... Why should I?
(Anyway, I don't like fake money...)
I don't think that money is the root of evil. ;D
I think we should not blame money for the evilness in this world.
For me, money is part of God's provisions, I could use it for myself or to help others, so it is something useful.
Good deeds not always require money, but money can be used to do good deeds.
Peace.

She looks a bit like Elvis Presley's daughter maybe. I don't know if her large head is really sensually appealing to me, but maybe it is my resolution.
-
FreedomStands, how about you focus more on what she says and how you can use it to gain a better understanding about spiritual matters?

JavaLatte,
Allah teaches me to not follow such people (who gain MONEY from such profession),
so, inshaAllah, I will stick with that as one of my basic principles, it is safer.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. By the way, how did you get such idea from? I myself was judgemental of Teal Swan, till after watching her videos realized how much her words resonated with me inside, and gave me more of a sense of peace and freedom, and that I don't have to be lost and wandering inside a lot.
For me, MONEY is part of God's provisions, I could use it for myself or to help others, so it is something useful.
Good deeds not always require money, but money can be used to do good deeds.
Yes, so what's wrong with making money out of such a profession? So in that way doctors should also do their medical work for free? They can write free articles and make videos, but definitely they charge for the time, energy and money spent on studying medicine, and practising medicine for people. Similarly, for spiritual teachers, they spend time, energy and money on spiritual healing, much like physical healing by doctors. If you listen to people like Teal, you will understand they purposely seeked such information out and it wasn't easy for them. And they spend further time, energy and money for spreading their concise information to people.
Anyway, a lot of good deeds we can do for free, but this idea that one dedicated to such a profession should remain poor and they will gain their reward in the Next Life or something, is not quite a good one, in my opinion. It depends on people, some people do for free, some charge only what they spent for providing the info, and others charge more. My main point is, listen and read their material, and see if they connect with you on some level. If they do, good. If not, you can pass up their info and not look back.
mmkhan,
Thanks for sharing your post. I appreciate your words and wisdom. May Allah bless you and have mercy upon you
Peace.

Oh I didn't watch the video or whatever, I just clicked the sex article link (I didn't read it), and just noticed she had a big long head in my screen resolution and might have resembled Elvis Presley's daughter a little.
What did she say? Could you summarize it?
It might be easier to hear it from you rather than some long giant head Elvis thing.
Or better yet, why not say your own messages or what resonated with you, and what your interpretation is of what she said and what you believe regardless?
That should be fascinating, since I can't really even have much of a dialogue with her, but I can try to have some sort of intercourse with you.

Um, what's with the writing in red? Not funny at all.
I suggest you watch the video and read the article and see what resonates with you, and leave what doesn't. Each person can get a different viewpoint on her perspective. Anyway, I think she is crystal clear in her explanations, so it wouldn't be too difficult.
Peace.

It wasn't really supposed to be funny. This is called intercourse, it is just a synonym for dialogue or back and forth, I didn't mean sex or whatever, I'm not sure what you're commenting about exactly.
Does it resonate with anyone here that All life is Rape?

The pun wasn't funny.

That's an awful comment to make But again thinking about it, some circumstances we go through sure feels like that. Which is another reason why we humans spend so much time trying to figure out life in general, even if in bits and pieces here and there.
Peace.

Thank you for thinking about it! Yeah.
It seems we're forced into life, things are given to us and then taken away from us forcefully where we do not want them taken away from us, we are pushed into circumstances we don't like, and even the circumstances we think we like really weren't our choice much of the time nor would we have chosen things perhaps like even requiring to kill things (like plants) in order to eat (killing the plants which seem to just want to live and grow and feed themselves too), and then pooping and whatever. So it seemed that all life is rape, pillaging, stealing, terrorizing, harming, for us, and likewise we are harmed, and forced, and pushed, and even our birth was not our choice, and did the mother really want the pain of labor and did anyone really want pain at all?
You might want to take a look at some of my recent speeches which are extremely negative.

Yeah I understand FreedomStands. I am still figuring out myself on these matters. And why God would set up a universe like this and still call Itself most compassionate, merciful, wise and just. Feels like actions and words have trouble matching up a lot of the time, right?
Peace.
-
Freedom, you are free (great surprise) to take life as rape or to take life as comunion. As eaters, we are communers, as breathers we are communers, as sweaters we are communers. Shy should we understand that sweat is extracted from us, that viruses and parasites rape us, etc. etc.? Is it no better to thin that life and existence is a great sharing experience, tht we are all one and love each other and therefore exist from one to another, that we are no alone or unwanted... Cannibalism is mabe not the best nourishment and unnecessary since we can eat and "rape" the whole universe or at least let the whole universe feed on us. Adn in that sense, yes, rape is the permanent state, but the difference between rape and love is consent, is it not?
Salaam

In my case, I believe it is because God is literally those things. For example, only God can literally know what someone else is feeling or has access to that experience or information, whereas we are always cut off we can never truly be "compassionate" in its literal definition. Likewise, any "mercy" that comes is ultimately from God, so that makes God literally the only "merciful" plus God could make things even worse than they already are, which is another "mercy". Whatever "justice" there is and whatever "wisdom" also, solely are invented by God, so that puts God in the position of literally being those things.
I write about it a bit here

Yes, but we haven't given consent.
I did not give consent for there to be troubles in the world or misery or evil.
I did not give consent that I should be harmed or that I should require these things.
These things were forced on me.
That is why people who come with messages of hope and softness seem to me to be lying to themselves and others.
Did the ground give consent that we walk on it? Did the trees give consent that we cut them down? Did we give consent to die?
All of it is forced on us, that is why rape seems more appropriate a term than love.
Where is the love?
If God loves in any normal definition of the world, would the child be born deformed? Would evilness even exist? Would the diseases be put in people and make them suffer immensely? Would madness be so prevalent? What kind of love is that? It is no love at all.
Not only that, but we were made almost powerless to help ourselves, we are dependent constantly, always in need.
Would your friend or lover do that to you? Would your friend or lover kill your parents, fill you with disease, give you deformed children, make you witness horrors?
Certainly not, by any normal definitions of the world love.
Someone who loves you, would not hurt you, or leave you to be hurt, but would prevent it. You are simply not loved.
518 "And (both) the Jews and the Christians say "We are the children of Allah and His loved ones." Say "Why then does He punish you for your sins?" Nay, you are but human beings, of those He has created, He forgives whom He wills and He punishes whom He wills. And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and to Him is the return (of all)."
Come to terms with the truth. The truth is that you are the creation of God, and God can do whatever God wants to do and there is none to stop God. You are expendable, and God is not in need of anything. You're part of one particular piece of artwork, and you can be replaced in a moment with something even better.
4738 "Here you are - those invited to spend in the cause of Allah - but among you are those who withhold . And whoever withholds only withholds from himself; and Allah is the Free of need, while you are the needy. And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you."

Basically then Allah is saying that if He really loved the human beings and considered them as His children, He would not punish them. Hmm. I am not sure on what to say on this.
He forgives whom He wills and He punishes whom He wills? Wow. In a way FreedomStands is right on his idea on this.
I think you guys heard my criticism regarding the Quran earlier. Here is another verse deserving criticism of this god who apparently sent the Quran. This god is by no way Most Compassionate, Merciful, Wise and Just, because there are many people who are apparently better than this god. We are like toys to this god, to be rewarded and punished according to His will (or whims, the way I am seeing it).
I know a God does have an outmost power like this, and for many of us who are unaware if the grand design do feel like this about the world. Hence this is another reason why I keep searching for spiritual truths which hopefully resonate with me somehow. One thing though, just saying, I do not trust the Quran's current standard translation. I dont know which person can read such verses and feel uplifted, except to think "well its all a test anyway, and the Hereafter is the real world" or "we should be grateful for the existing love and blessings in this life". The second point I agree with myself, but not in the context of accepting the Quran the way it is written as well.
Peace.

I've always been right, at least based on the mainstream interpretations of the Qur'an, that God is plainly the source of all the harm(evil) in existence (according to the Qur'an translations, and Bible even, and Vedas), and coming to terms with the truth of nature being harsh and not cuddly is part of the Surrender.
The fact is, things are bad, and there isn't much we can do about it, the best we can do is try to make things pleasant for ourselves if we can and avoid much trouble. Part of that includes doing good, so that you don't contribute to seeing more evil or evil by your own hands.
I too am puzzled by people who talk of a loving cuddly world, it is like they are delusional or something. I also find it curious that people, being unable to face the harsh reality, reject reality as a whole just because evil exists, they deny that all information was generated by an Ultimate Cause.
Everyone turns towards some kind of other hope, some kind of savior. Even the Buddhists turn away from suffering and put their hope in certain practices.
I don't have any hope whatsoever. I was born in hell, and if I suffer, there is none who can save me, and if I feel any pleasure, then it was of no merit of my own that I was given anything good.
I work to do good because I hate evil and evilness, and don't want to contribute to suffering, so I try to make things good in-front of my own eyes and to my own ears, by doing beautiful things and being kind to people and alleviating their troubles when I can or making them happy. I don't do it for God, but because I hate seeing suffering and troubles.
The worst thing a person can do is lie, it seems, and to give false hopes, to tell people there is a bridge where there is no bridge, that there is an escape when there is no escape.
False Hope is attributed in the Qur'an to Shaitan, the enemy of humanity, who even from his early encounter with Adam offered a solution where there was none.
?I will lead them astray and fill them with false hopes. I will command them and they will cut off cattle?s ears. I will command them and they will change Allah?s creation.? Anyone who takes satan as his protector in place of Allah has clearly lost everything.? (Surat an-Nisa?, 119)

Lying about G-D is even worse (in retribution)!

The Quran is a contradictory book in a number of ways. Which is why I said earlier that I do not trust the current translation of the Quran to depend on living my life on this earth and on areas of the Hereafter.

The Quran is a contradictory book in a number of ways.
I beg to differ.
Which is why I said earlier that I do not trust the current translation of the Quran to depend on living my life on this earth and on areas of the Hereafter.
You don't seem to be aware of the logical contradiction in your statements and implications of your own beliefs!
First, you confidently testified against the Quran claiming it's "a contradictory book in a number of ways"!
But then you admitted you can't even read and/or understand its original language!
